Replaceable wear surfaces add life to tools by allowing easily changed items. This can be especially important when chainsaws and a hired work force are combined. Shown here is one of perhaps 2-dozen different size/types of dovetail notching jigs that have recently been upgraded to utilize double-life (2-sided) wear plates.
