Ed, I kept worrying about her feet coming off the pedals and her running over her leg. Very painful..a good clip in or strap in would be very helpful.. Good to see you out there. Be well and stay safe, bf
@@paul-hill Paul, My personal experience with feet slipping off my pedals is my leg went down. This was probably caused by me not "holding my feet up" as much pedaling, so when I came unclipped, my leg went down because muscles that normally would hold the leg up were not engaged. There have been catastrophic damage done to joints as far up as the hip by a leg going under the front axle. It would take only one time in some cases. I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and be well and stay safe. bf
@@billfearheller4179 Rest assured................, clipped-in from here on out! Those Eggbeater (mountain bike) pedals did at least have grip 'pins' on the plain side (clips on the other).
Thanks. Enjoyable to watch! Reminds me of me but Rae was more graceful getting in the trike! I’ve the same trouble with my dog getting in the way. I usually end up picking her up (small dog), after she does her business, and putting her in a pouch. She likes to ride that way.

Jim, I think most people want to make the trike decision on their own, so when the opportunity meets preparation, there'll be 'luck'. If she sees (1) fun, (2) a pleasant form of exercise, (3) a social experience (even to spend more time with you) and literally a (4) new lease on life thru being outdoors................., I think you both will wear the trike smile. Find other triking couples nearby and share some time together. Best wishes.

You'd get more shade wearing sunglasses than those canopies. They'd only work well for only about 2 hours, around noon, in the summer.
Then juice up Mr. Kuhl!! Do your homework kid; side visors protect the face even at Sun up & Sun down. And good luck with rain & snow, canopy rookie.

A valid concern for sure. It will be a few more weeks before the next ride and shoes are a MUST. as the Bike Tow Leash. Have a nice Thanksgiving.
My experience with trike pedals is that your feet go up ward when they slip off. Because of the seat angle.

This was a 1-time shot to see if Rae even liked the trike. I think she does! I have a Bike Tow Leash that will be installed before the next ride.
