I am a landlord and I would love a tenant like you who at least had some ideas and trying to not only maintain the property but make it better. I would gladly help bring your ideas to life, 😅especially if they were neutral for any tenant or to your taste and could be reversed upon your departure. A happy tenant is usually a good maintaining tenant. Love your ideas.
I appreciate this comment coming from a landlord as I have the worst experience with them & their “half fixed” properties, thank you so much for your feedback ✨
Like what you did with the sink area. In terms of renter friendly you definitely want removable tile, and maybe even some type of removable paint for mirror or to build a detachable Gold frame for Mirror, as a Landlord may decide it needs to go back and charge you/keep your deposit after having to dedicate time to remove the tiles and scrape paint. Anyway, very creative
Um, so you want tenants to do what landlords and their maintenance people SHOULD'VE done before tenants move in...Cleaning and giving your jacked up yet expensive units proper maintenance FOR FREE...
Baby girl you’re definitely creative and artistic I wish I lived closer to you I would’ve installed real tiles for you and helped you out with the labor for free I just can’t let nobody put sticky vinyl tiles over porcelain lol that doesn’t even go there but your ideas were beautiful and inspiring and the coolest thing was your positive mental attitude 💯
Love all the finishing touches Im not sure about the sticky tiles over the tiles in the shower only because over time the water and dampness will create mold and they can peel off. Love love the rain shower You did a great job selecting the finishing touches
Thank you so much for this comment I really appreciate your feedback ! To this date I’ve only had one tile peel away from the wall so I’d say over all the adhesive I used was strong enough to withstand the water & heat , but I do agree that mold can become an issue an would definitely advise anyone looking to recreate something similar to take the necessary preventative steps , that’s something I should’ve looked into myself so thank you for sharing that info !
I love what you did. You wanted your bathroom to look nice so you got in there and did it. I am a homeowner and I try new things all the time. I paper a whole wall with poster board because I didn’t line the color and I didn’t want to paint it. And I get more compliments on that wall than anything. Go girl!!!
I once lived in an apartment and I was told they would fix the tub. They never did so I did what I had to do too to make it presentable. Your really transformed your bathroom. Great job!
Creative and affordable. Great job. Suggestion, use black, grey or gold grout for the spaces between the tiles to get a finished look. Very impressive. 👍
As a man this is motivation. I also feel that my living space makes me feel different on my day to day living. I really like how you use your creative side to renovate. Looks good
Congratulations! Your bathroom looks beautiful. I like how so transparent you are in your video. You had a vision and you went for it. And look at what you accomplished.
Good morning, I just wanted to say that you did an amazing job. You are absolutely right. They do not care about how the units look. So much motivation to upgrade my own apartment.
Soooo much potential i see where your head is but like you mentioned patience i pray your next move is an already fully updated and furnished bathroom and home overall .. alot of people dont realize how much constantly seeing things we dont like thats an eye sore as simple as what you showed play on their mental health.. your on the way to better! It starts with a vision and courage to do it
It’s awesome. Gray grout will close the gaps in the shower and seal it especially at the top. You can also switch out the light fixture and get a black door knob.
I was thinking of switching the door knob that’s a great idea ! & with the light fixtures I feel like the wall behind it is so brittle I’m scared it’ll just cause more irreparable damage than I can manage lol , i appreciate the tips & feedback ✨
I used “concrete design” contact paper for the shower tiles. It is easier to use than vinyl tiles and gives a sense of higher ceilings and continuity. Highly recommend
It looks like a spa bathroom 😍😍 im moving in a month or two. I already know where and i realllly wanted to do a limewash feature wall but i think im going to do the concrete wall application but with muted and natural greens 😍
I agree with you about how apartments are not kept up. I'm a diy-er myself & I understand some tenants are "rough" on apartments but I try my best to keep mine up & some of the things we have to do to be comfortable we shouldnt have to. The way your shower is coming out of the wall should have been repaired before you moved in. But they stay going up on the rent & don't fix anything
So glad I found your channel working on my bathroom in my rental. And same I like to her to see the finished product and I don’t like to take measurements. L O L looks great!
This looks really good! Don’t be afraid of a real plant. Some grow in water with clay beads and you don’t need dirt. Like a snake plant, does well in bathrooms and low light. Just fyi.
U DID THAT,! I AM INSPIRED BY YOUR HACKS..... I NEED THAT SHOWER HEAD IN MY LIFE! IM SURE THAT U HAVE POWER TOOLS NOW SO THAT U DON'T RUIN YOUR BEAUTIFUL NAILS... THANKS 4 SHARING!
Great job! Just for future even with the beautiful new shower heads, put in a baggy with white vinager and water let soak for 20 min and rinse all the hard water sediment will melt away and water will flow free once again 😉 also the collar around flange that was loose maybe some caulking would seal off, maybe not but im sure youtube has helps 😊 you are so artistic!
😍 You done a great job 👏🏽 If I may suggest, in the nearrrrr future fill in the spaces in your tile. Remember water is getting in between and mold soon to follow. Don’t want you get sick from the mold and moisture buildup ❤ Great upgrade
I love the outcome sis🥰💜 you know what else you should try to elevate that even more? Raise your shower curtain closer to the ceiling and getting a longer shower curtain👌🏾😍
What! I’m definitely inspired! The floor tiles covering the shower wall tiles did it for me!! I’m so hyped up I love it! Yes, I read the viewer’s comment about mold so I’m going to figure it out but gurl I’m doing it one way or another period!! Than you!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
The fact that you did this is great. I have the same problem with my landlord. I still have pink tiles and its a mess. I can add a little something to the bathroom. Thank you
My favorite thing is the shower head and the shelves. But the walls turned out really good. Better than I imagined. I would have tried to do better on the shower tiles because I have a problem with perfection lol.... But good job girlie!!
I totally agree lol, I’m really not the most patient when it comes to DIYing & I wish I would’ve taken a lot more time with this project but nonetheless it’s one of my favorite parts of the makeover ! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me I appreciate it ❣️
Simple dollar tree measuring tape, level, and square would help. As well as cheap black tempra paint behind the stick on tile. You also can keep the paper on the tiles but add a strong double sided tape or got a cheap thin mdf board from home depot along with some corner bead pvc trim for a border an made a shower insert.
You did an amazing job it looks totally opposite of what you started with... I love your tips and tricks... I would love to see a video on that mixture of the cement wall... I love the ambiance!!!
I do stuff like this all the time. I am moving rn and all I had to do was put the old fixtures back. Now I can take mine to my new place and do the same thing there
I want to do the titles, but they would charge me soooo much in the end. I am going to do as much as I can! This is so awesomeeeeee! Definitely a great reminder to change the lights from yellow to daylight! Thank you! anddddd ughhh, it's just so beautiful! You did a wonderful job!
I appreciate the compliment & I think that as long as you’re there you should make as many changes as you can to enjoy the space in the time that you’ll be there. It seems like it’s not worth it , I felt the same way, but in reality the changes I’ve made have improved my happiness with my space over all & I think that it’s well worth it no matter what length of time you’ll be there for ! Happy renovating ✨
I came for inspiration and became a subscriber, you did a good job. Now you got me thinking about getting another shower head. I'm going to be doing a makeover on my bathroom next month on my channel. Your SEO for this video is GOOD!
Looks good the only thing I'd do cuz I get some shower have that fake tile look so u have the le the s say the squared lines that make it hard to put tiles on but I would take what ever color u are doing for the grout line and use a sharpie to just get rid of the white lines and you can use goo gone when you remove them when you move ..just a suggestion so the tiles can flow more .. great job
Good start! I appreciate your vision, but the shower tiles definitely look rushed and unfinished. Mold is also an issue of concern for me. I'd paint the tiles in the event that you're allowed to for next time around.
It was very much rushed as I’m a “I want to see the finished result” kind of diy-er so in the case you try this yourself you can definitely take as much time as you need to get it to look the way you want, I’m happy with it nonetheless ☺️
The struggle is real trying to makeover a house that's not yours, wanting to make it yours. I get the look you're going for. You want a bathroom "spa like retreat" to match your personality. You did a good job! I think you should've asked your landlord do they mind if you upgrade the bathroom. Tell them your idea, that it is everything rental friendly. Ask them if you leave the new hardware in exchange for them providing the labor cost. They probably would've gave you the okay, with everything being rental friendly. Anyways, I think you should've got the peel and stick faux tile backsplash from Dollar Tree. The subway tile would look bomb with your decor! They hv a variety, It's also rental friendly. It's still not too late. You can buy 5 at a time take your stick tile down as you go until the entire is complete. FYI: Bathrooms does hv a lot of moisture, you would more than likely hv to use the adhesive. Anyways keep up the good work. New subbie
Thank you ! & I know the gaps are a bit of an eyesore lol , I’ve tried to a few times to conceal the white gaps & I’m still looking for something that will be a little more durable, thank you so much for you feedback !
My advise is start reaching out to congress. Document everything you find in you units with pictures, dates, and text messages or emails to leave paper trail to show you have reached out to the landlords and let them know what the issues are and give a timely fashion for response up to 48 hrs. If no response to a second reach out to the landlords. Without being rude or in a non-harassing manner. No response reach out for the last Tim with letting them know you’re reaching out to congress and department of health du to the negligence on their behalf. Print out or pdf the emails and forward them to your representatives and let it work from there 😊

Best wishes for your next project. Don't be discouraged just kevel up. You got this💪🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you so much ! I will be uploading a detailed tutorial on how I achieved this look very soon I hope you’ll subscribe to see how you can achieve it too ✨
I know that you did a great job but just some tips that you should know is when you're putting your shower head on use plumber tape to help seal the connection number two you're probably going to hate the black tie it's going to be super hard to keep that clean the way it needs. Also use some caulk around the shower head that will help
Thank you so much for those tips! I believe the kit I used to install the shower did come with plumbers tape I just wasn’t sure how to use it, will definitely know for future projects! & I actually loved the tile it was super easy to keep clean in my opinion!
I think if you use grout in between the tile it’ll fill the gaps and add some type of extra waterproof-ness lol to the tile adhesive. I think it stops water from getting under the tile.
Good job! I just learned from another UA-camr, that there’s paint made specifically for tile. It would have been great to see you use the paint instead of the floor tiles in the shower.
Woah really, I wish i knew about it when I Started this project ! I had no idea about that but I do love the look of the floor tiles which is why I chose that route , Thanks for sharing that tip for anyone else looking to recreate something similar ☺️
I have that same shower head cause I was like I’m not paying all this money to not have a good shower. It totally improved the experience but I wish I got it in black instead.
This is making me soooo excited for when I move into my new apartment 🥰🥰🥰 thank you gooooorlll, if I show my process/projects ima def shout this channel out I already love it

Well done, l love the frames idea.
Thank you so much 🫶🏾
I think if you use grout in between the tile it’ll fill the gaps and add some type of extra waterproof-ness lol to the tile adhesive. I think it stops water from getting under the tile.
You’re absolutely right, I think someone suggested I use a black grout which I think would’ve been a great option!
You did a BOMB job girl ❤❤❤
Thank you so much im glad you enjoyed ❣️
You did such a great job! Which type of lights did you get if you didn't mention it in the post/caption?
Good job! I just learned from another UA-camr, that there’s paint made specifically for tile. It would have been great to see you use the paint instead of the floor tiles in the shower.
Woah really, I wish i knew about it when I
Started this project ! I had no idea about that but I do love the look of the floor tiles which is why I chose that route , Thanks for sharing that tip for anyone else looking to recreate something similar ☺️
@@trendytrenny I believe you could have achieved the same look with the tile paint. I think you could have done it based on what you did to the walls.
@@pholbrook2277 I’m sure I could have too, I’m happy with my results either way!
@@trendytrenny yes! You did a great job!
I have that same shower head cause I was like I’m not paying all this money to not have a good shower. It totally improved the experience but I wish I got it in black instead.
