You did the thang thang. Beautiful. I'm finishing up my spa bathroom. Live in a rental and the new owners renovated part of the apt and they gave us a vanity sink with doors. So happy. This is awesome..

Just a tip for people who keep cleaning bathroom mold but it justs comes back - once you're done cleaning it all with your cleaner of choice, let the bathroom dry and then put on some eye protection and a mask, spray every single surface of that bathroom with vinegar, (use a water mister for ironing or similar). Just cheap white vinegar works fine. Get inside all the drawers and into all the little corners and grooves around the taps etc. This kills stray spores and also causes mold to have trouble repopulating the same surfaces in the future. At first you might have to do it every 2 or 3 months but after a while the mold just doesn't come back at all.
Yeah but the root of the problem is lack of ventilation. If you're renting, never take a space with a windowless bathroom that doesn't have a ventilation grid
Put on eye protection and a mask for all poisonous commercial products. Also if there’s mold behind that shower tile which is almost guaranteed, putting that grout on will create a disaster for the future. All the tile must be removed first and that’s on the landlord.
@@greyscalesx I came here to say this lol and they better get those walls inspected. Mold spores can be very very bad for your lungs and you won’t really notice the damage early enough. Stay safe and detox regularly! 🙂
Hello Wayna! New sub here. I was married almost 23 years then divorced. I've had to downsize to an incredibly small, dated and dreary apartment. All these things have gotten me so depressed. I agree. Not everyone is in a position to become a home-buyer (they don't OWN until the mortgage is payed off) but we all want to enjoy the place we live in.

These tips & tricks can be used to keep their rentals up to date on trends without having to spend tens of thousands of $$$ every year, as well as not having to set high security deposits on their renters which is a win win for an honest landlord.
For the sake of your health you should have your home checked for mold spores. If the wall was getting that moldy the wall behind that tile is most likely black with mold. That repair should be your landlords responsibility.

This is AMAZING! You have got to be the BEST tenant anyone could ever have. I feel like you should have been able to get your landlord to correct the issue with the grout.
If that mold keeps coming back when you clean it, you should try to put a Damp Rid container in your bathroom. That should eliminate a lot of the build up -- that mold means you have excess moisture in your bathroom after showers. You can replace the fan in your bathroom (if your fan is running loud, it needs to be replaced) but Damp Rid will work better. Depending on how fast you dump it out will tell you how much moisture build up you have in your bathroom. Also, try Wet and Forget Shower spray - it's very effective and very little odor. I use it to treat my shower and clean my shower liner and curtain all in one. Overnight everything gets cleaned and then I just rinse it clean. I hope your tile repair has changed the game for you too!
Thanks for the fan tip i didn't know loud fans needs to be replace. I don't turn on my light in bathroom because it's loud but now i am moving after 3 yrs. A little to late but thanks for that

Just wanted to say thanks, you shifted something in my mind which is that bad moldy bathrooms cant be fixed. I would never have known where to start let alone think I had the power to change it myself. That was a very needed mind shift thank you. Your hard work is appreciated 🙏
I loved all your ideas except using caulk around the contact paper on the sink. I used to have multiple rental houses and renters often do things thinking it’s not permanent but it causes damage. Sometimes it can cost a lot of money to repair. ( although what you did looks a thousand times better). People should always ask their landlord before doing that. Your bathroom truly is gorgeous, and I loved your ideas and great sense of style. 🥰

To avoid mould growing in the bathroom, I keep the door open to air dry it between uses. I have being doing this for 15 yrs after I moved from my old home where I used to get mould. No need to used harsh chemicals. Also I stopped getting soap scummed since I switched to liquid soap instead on bar soap. I use doctor bronner's liquid soap that does not dry your skin, i even use it to wash my hair.
I covered my kitchen counters with the marble contact paper about 18 years ago in an apartment that I used to live in. I loved it... It lasted the 4 years I was there. Did no harm to the counters and came up easily when I left.

The bathroom tiles can be cleaned with this hack: The cotton rope (like they use for perms and pedicures) works awesome for grout with bleach. I hate bleach but for this job I love it! I moved into a place and the shower had mildew all over. You dip the rope into the bleach -don't wring it out, and place it in the cracks. Leave it overnight. Literally toss the cotton and rinse! Best hack ever!!!
I love the shelf. I'm moving to a new place with my son and boyfriend. We are going down to 1 bathroom. This helps me with storage ideas and another mirror would be good. Contact paper is genius for keeping baseboards looking clean and less work cleaning them. I'm tired of cleaning baseboards lol.

@@illegallaws2268 I just learned it from my apt's maintenance man this year! It's a tip to keep for the future, definitely :)
train family to wipe down shower walls with towel when finish--amazing difference in holding down mold. To prevent soap scum throw out soap and switch to baby shampoo only.
I admire how creative and handy you are :)
Thank you Mandi
It's very likely that I'll dorm in the next two years or so when I start university so this video was a godsend! I thought I was excited for school but it turns out I can't wait for the thrill of turning a super small and shared dorm room into an aesthetically pleasing and more productive space. Love your channel and much love from Jamaica!
Wow, I almost was late to work, couldn't stop watching. What a beautiful transformation!
Wow, great job! That slim white shelving unit is EPIC! I'd like to share a tip - apply contact paper to your doors. I used a marble effect on mine and it looks chic. :)
Both sides? Or only on bathroom side? Thanks!
@@psb12121 I applied mine to the bathroom side.
Thank you! 🌝
Didn’t even think about that one. Great idea!! Thank you😀

I'm watching in November 2023! The bathroom definitely has a spa look and feel to it. I would've never thought to place a mirror above the toilet and the shelf looks fantastic!
Thank you so much for making these videos! I just moved into the ugliest apartment of my life, and I didn't know where to start first. The entire apartment is gray, and I can feel my soul start to wither away from lookong at the walls. I cannot wait to get my hands on some of these products and get to work on improving my space.
Absolutely stunning!!! Looks so fresh and clean like a whole new bathroom..great job!!!
The tape for the mirror frame was a great detail I added to my bathroom. It made it look more modern and I hung some plant garland above the mirror so now it's fancy and drapes down the sides. ❤ thanks for a simple upgrade tip. I love it.
I literally bought that bathroom spray because of you and I’ve been waiting to come back to this video all day to say thank you!! Omg you’re so right about it being strong omg it worked so well!!
What spray 👀
It’s so much better and fresh love the vanity and the white hanging shelf. You’re awesome!!!!
Yess that mildew stuff works!!! I need that
Have you a product name?, I'm visually impaired.
OMG just stumbled on your page. This is my 3rd video. And I had to stop b4 the 4th minute to say how inspired and motivated I am. Things I have been considering you make it look so easy. And i also makes me feel like it's okay to just take my time. I really appreciate the details that you give in your video. It definitely calms down the anxiety of starting a new project. This channel is so purposeful for this season in my life. I'm inspired to have my living space truly reflect me even in my rebuilding phase. Looking forward to more. Please don't stop. Thank you so much for your content. 😊
Looks wonderful. I regrouted our kitchen floor and some in the bathroom and it makes a huge difference. Also swapping out old handles.
That is awesome!
Gworl No you did not put some bra pads together. Hey gotta make do with what you have💀💀😂😂Anyways glad UA-cam recommended you to me 💕💕
That's the orignal design of a mask. A woman design but an Asian man took the credit
Michelle Gomez oh wow didn’t know that. Great to know!
Yes, great mask Idea.
I have lung issues so can't use many of those products. I use bleach to get mold out more often. It's a pain but I wipe sides down after every shower, a squeegee helps.
gworl?
BOOOM! OMGAWD FREAGIN BRILLIANT video...subscribed. Real life here. Live in South Florida mofos are always being crafty!!! THANK YOU Sis. Keep us updated. You need your own show!!!
Omg!!! I fell out when I saw you with that bra on 😂😂😂 because that's something that I would do 😂😂 they make great masks!! Lol I literally told somebody that I was going to dollar tree and buy some a/b cup bras and make me some masks 😂😂 Sis I love your channel even more now lol I live in Georgia near Florida so I understand the heat. Great video sis!! 💯💜☺
That pink-ish colored "mold" isn't really mold. It is actually a bacteria called Serratia marcescens. It is common in wet areas. One thing you can do is use 50/50 water and vinegar solution and it will work without all of the strong chemicals.
Love your videos!
Thank you for that information. 😁
Jaw dropping transformation. It looks amazing. I love the vertical shelves and the flooring.
Wow! What a difference! The white brightens everything and I love that shelving unit🤩
Hello there, I'm viewing and commenting from Dallas and I have to tell you how much I truly appreciate thou making these renter friendly videos because I am one who lives in an apartment and it is my preference and I still want to make renter friendly upgrades so that I don't lose my deposit and that are super easy! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Please keep them coming.
(1) EGADS. This is at minimum a $200 - $500 job that your landlord should well-pay you for. Great job! (2) Thanks for your ideas. I rather love the contact paper over your cupboard doors AND the top-turned wall-hanging. I will likely paint and stencil (and varnish lots) my lino floors, as they’re so hideous. Cheers!
Girl you did an AMAZING job 👏🏻👏🏻 love the creativity, I would’ve never thought to use that ikea shelf in a bathroom and I love the idea! Thank you for all the tips I’ll definitely be using them ♥️
Thank you for this, cuz I was trying to find out where she got the Shelf in the bathroom from
@@hotdiva38 if I remember correctly it’s called the IKEA Lack shelf :)
Will definitely go for daylight bulbs in our bathroom without the window
The quickest upgrade ever!
This is amazing!! Thank you so much! Renting can feel so depressing and I can't wait to redo my bathroom now!
OMG the mask! 😂😂 My best and favorite tip ever for anything caulking, any seams, cracks, holes is Flex Shot. $12.99. I have the exact same problem around my bathtub.
You have inspired me to redecorate my unit on a budget. First things first: Purge my stuff. I have a project ahead of me this fall/ winter. Thank you. I just subscribed.😊
When is the products list coming? 😭
I love everything you did. Where did you get that shelf that you moved into the bathroom? I need one of those!!
It's from Ikea hun, and it'spretty easyto put together. Hope that helps!
I'm so glad I found this video. I was at a loss with what I wanted to do with my small 1/2 bath!
Your bath looks great, thank you for the ideas!
Just brilliant! Tasteful. Clever, Stylish and doable at reasonable costs!!
Wow, the only realistic video and BUDGET transformation I've seen. Thank you so much for this!!!! Hats off to you.
I’m so glad I came across this page! I am now in the process of moving and with the renting prices and the availability of homes being limited and scarce, my options lead to more older, plan-looking properties. Sometimes we have to do what we have to do temporarily but this is perfect and I feel so better going into this new transition.
Same, I’m about to move into a new apartment but my budget is limited and I’m pregnant so I really want to create a beautiful space for me and my little family , i know my apartment won’t be the newest most aesthetically pleasing home ever so I’m going to upgrade every little thing I can in my ugly little apartment and make it look amazing , all these videos give me the ideas and motivation i need to get it done even while pregnant and feeling crazy most of the time 🥲😩
I love decorating it's soooo...fun. I also like looking at show homes.
It’s sooooo fun!
How could anyone think it's anything less than beautiful!!! Love LOVE it ❤️🔥
Wow you are such a great tenant. What you did for the room is amazing. Your landlord must be so grateful.
OMG.... Me and my family are having to downsize for a while and discovering your channel has just encouraged me on being able to make the space fit us and feel homey. Love your channel. Currently binging. New lifetime subbie 😘💛
Love the vertical shelf in the bathroom. You can get a small steamer for cleaning grout, mold, etc. so you don’t have to inhale chemicals.
as extra help if some of the grout lines are still discolored clean it with that stuff then get a white grout marker...LOL love your mask!!
dilute latex paint some with water, brush on about 1 square foot, let partially dry a few minutes, wipe off tile. Easier and cheaper than grout pen
You really improved your living space. Your landlord is lucky to have you as a renter.
these were some refreshingly new, practical, useful tips. not just recycled content. luv ittt!!
This was very impressive. Nice work! Remember to run the vent Dan for at LEAST 30 minutes after your shower too.
Thank you for the terrific ideas and insight.
I use Zep tile and grout and it works really well too. I just purchased my home in central Florida last year but all of your tips help me out.
Sweet! I’ll have to try it
@Em I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I can't even imagine what that must feel like. I'm so paranoid of fires. I keep thinking about getting an extinguisher installed. I also tell my sons to never leave the house with the dryer going. I'm happy the recovery was positive.
If I was a landlord, I would not want someone to take down these upgrades if they left because this looks soooo much better than the place did originally!!
You are awesome. Pure talent. I see flipping houses and interior designing on your own television station. May God continue to bless you.
You are so gifted at design! All of your ideas are so unique, yet totally doable. I'm extremely impressed! Wow!
I love this renovation soooo much! I am using several of these ideas in my bathroom because of you. I just wish Ikea would bring that shelf back in stock 😁
She said just be grateful for the tile you have😂😂... she’s so funny💛
Cute pink drill. Love the video, you are a hard working person!
Spraying Lysol prevents mold. That product is great! Nice added sealer around contact paper.
That verticle shelf idea for the bathroom is genius. Thank you so much!!
This was brilliant! I’m honestly so astonished how far she brought that space! Definitely gonna give some things a try 😁
You're definitely the go to upgrade queen 👸🏾i live for your videos
Thank you beautiful
This video was so helpful! Thank you for giving me realistic ways that I can actually do on my own.
You’re a creative wonder! Thank you for sharing your savvy ways. 😊🙏🏼
I could watch your videos all day. Love your work and your personality is so genuine. Thank you!
Did you paint the walls too? Or is it just the lighting that makes it look so much brighter! Great tips! Thank you!
I would LOVE to do the contact paper in my bathroom but I am NOT patient enough LOL I'd be an I Love Lucy episode waiting to happen, girl! LOL
Using the knitted shirt as macrame wall art was by far the most unique 🔥
That came out so pretty. It so light and airy. I have lives in apartments my whole adult life and the white cabinets are just so plain to me. As a mater of fact I’m actually using the same contact paper you have on your countertops for my kitchen backsplash. I’m moving soon and kinda nervous if it might leave a residue behind
