The 1955 Century was the fastest accelerating car on the road that year. My dad bought one new. I was really excited when my mom let me drive the car alone to the store to pickup an item for her when I was 13 or14 at the time! She had given me a couple of lessons in a late1940's car we also owned. I was ten when that car came out in 1955.

I USED TO RIDE IN A CAR LIKE THIS ONE IN THE LATE 60'S, EARLY 70'S WHEN I WAS A KID. USED TO LIKE PLAYING WITH THE POWER WINDOWS. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL 4 DOOR CAR EVER MADE

Un gran auto. En mi larga vida he tenido al menos 8 autos Buick, incluido un Special 1955. Nunca vi un auto Buick tan antiguo con aire acondicionado. Those horrible sticky clear seat covers appear to be protecting the original upholstery. AC is very rare. The body may have been repainted. My grandparents had a '55 Century fourdoor hardtop. The paint below the spear was white to match the paint on the roof.

Yes, original interior protected by period-dealer installed plastic covers. One repaint 20 years ago in the original color.
