Spectacular! Don’t care for the wire wheels but this car is stunning!
@Craig Jorgensen
Agreed about those particular wheels... They're more suited to a FOMOCO product, they're repro Thunderbird wheels.
I wonder why the previous owner didn't opt for the more correct (and better looking, imo) reproduction Skylark wire wheels? The same company makes them.
What a beauty!
The wire wheels would go if I had it. They were available at extra cost (about $600 a set in 1956) and relatively few were ordered.
Beautiful car !!! Love hearing it run.
LOVE.....those old Buicks....!!!!
A beauty ! Thanks for sharing, wish you good sell.
Nice ride❤️❤️
Very nice 👍🏼
Yeah, she's sweet❣ I'd store the wire wheels and sell them separately. She's 66 years old now, I'm viewing this 4/ 2022 and I was born in '56 when this tolled out of Detroit 😊😉
I was born in 52 and remember these beauties on the road!
Very very beatiful...
Look better then a new rolls Royce
Now, THAT is a beautiful car ! A little pricey, but quality restorations like this one ain`t cheap. If I win the Powerball, I`m gonna pull up in front of 15100 Keel St. with a new-car carrier (I shit you not !)
I would dump the wire wheels but it would have to have a smooth shifting automatic with a factory cruise
No such thing as cruise control in 1956!! GM cars didn't have cruise till about 1963.
Dynaflow transmission doesn't really shift. It uses a twin turbine stator, the vanes inside change the angle or pitch and multiples the output torque when you accelerate. Drive is just one smooth gear, no upshift. Low is gear reduction and with the variable pitch of the stator vanes it will burn rubber under wide open throttle, but you have to manually shift it back to drive for normal road speeds.
