I have had mental illness for most of my life. I have been suicidal, violent, and self destructive. It was a result of being abused by a family member and pimped from the ages of 8 to 14. This left me with severe bipolar, and emotional detachment issues that will never really be resolved. Here is my take that really helped me not harm others. I may have issues but I have no right to pass on the hell I'm going to onto another person. You can empathize with mental illness but it's no excuse or free pass to harm others. I
God can heal you. I know what channel I’m on, so I know it’s likely you will not want to hear this... but if you want to be cured of this horrible awful trauma you’ve been through, this is the way. And don’t just go to church and listen to Bible thumpers. Just read the New Testament, cry out to God, forgive the person/people who hurt you, and realize that it’s not your fault. This may sound terrible but it’s the truth-when you have your mental issues/breaks, you can’t help yourself and you are not in control, right? then realize the person who hurt you couldnt help themselves. They were traumatized too, which made them the way they are. It doesn’t excuse any of it, but this is the only way to beat this. Doctors won’t help. I know people hate being preached at, but I have been cured of trauma and addiction and hatred just by realizing that I’m not in control, I just needed God to take over. I know people have an aversion to Christianity these days and I think a lot of that is because most Christians are no different than the rest of the world. They don’t like actually living like a Christian, they just like the idea of it. Most of them are just as judgmental, if not more than secular folks. But I’m telling you it all comes down to forgiveness of yourself and others, especially the people who destroyed you. Rant over

Take your daughters to the range. My grandma once defended herself and my infant father with a shotgun. I have had mental illness for most of my life. I have been suicidal, violent, and self destructive. It was a result of being abused by a family member and pimped from the ages of 8 to 14. This left me with severe bipolar, and emotional detachment issues that will never really be resolved. Here is my take that really helped me not harm others. I may have issues but I have no right to pass on the hell I'm going to onto another person. You can empathize with mental illness but it's no excuse or free pass to harm others. I

And don’t just go to church and listen to Bible thumpers. Just read the New Testament, cry out to God, forgive the person/people who hurt you, and realize that it’s not your fault. This may sound terrible but it’s the truth-when you have your mental issues/breaks, you can’t help yourself and you are not in control, right? then realize the person who hurt you couldnt help themselves. They were traumatized too, which made them the way they are. It doesn’t excuse any of it, but this is the only way to beat this. Doctors won’t help. I know people hate being preached at, but I have been cured of trauma and addiction and hatred just by realizing that I’m not in control, I just needed God to take over. I know people have an aversion to Christianity these days and I think a lot of that is because most Christians are no different than the rest of the world. They don’t like actually living like a Christian, they just like the idea of it. Most of them are just as judgmental, if not more than secular folks.
