It is about time, these professors have been engaging in illegal discrimination for years now. Schools too. I had a friend in college, who played on the football team. He's a black man, and the first time I met him, he got in my face and said so how does it feel to be going to school with a n*. I was just looking for a way to escape cuz I figured this guy had a huge chip on his shoulder and he was way bigger than me. I know how to fight, have won several contests but 140lbs versus 240, and odds are you're going to lose. He laughed when he saw my eyes dart toward the window.
And told me chill, if we're going to be friends we need to get this out of the way immediately. He told me he plays on the football team, but he was there on an academic scholarship. And he truly hated the affirmative action babies, because they made him look bad by association.
He carried a 4.00 average, which was significantly better than mine. A very smart man and a good friend.
And he recognized the resentment that could be caused by less qualified people being given positions over more qualified. He told me that affirmative action was a trap. It encouraged low expectations and caused legitimate reasons for resentment. He actively opposed affirmative action, and caught a lot of hell for it.
A man of principle.
The fact is that people who have done no wrong are being punished for what people who look kind of like them did at some point in the past. And it also ignores the history of slavery in Africa. Better than 90% of slaves sold to Europeans were sold by other africans, and many of those slavers themselves were enslaved because their neighbors hated them for obvious reasons.
It's time to get rid of all race and sex based policies. There was a recent experiment where a man put in resumes identifying himself as a man, and then the same resume to the same company with a female name. He got fewer than 7% callbacks with the male name, and better than 85% with the female name.
That HR department should be prosecuted for illegal sex discrimination. At a minimum that company should clean out their HR department and start over.

It's very simple and black kids are able to win debates doing it. It's very simple process. Any question you get ask, is answered with some form of "your question is racist, sexist, biggoted whatever and because the question in their eyes is neo-colonizatio n, the BIPOC does not need to answer because they don't believe in the system that brought the question, it becomes moot. This is how these "educators" run their classrooms. One reason to major in STEM is that most of these psychopaths are lazy at their core and so can't make it into professorships in those fields.
Business degrees are typically pretty safe as well, since SJWs are predominantly socialists and Communists and if there's anything that deters them, it's basic economic theory, let alone higher education on such.
Science is getting more and more saturated with this as well, unfortunately.

The most significant thing about this clip is that you have young people right now who are paying $50k a year to learn from this person with a capacity for pregnancy. A perfect example of how college degrees (or at least non-STEM degrees) are really just a gatekeeping tool by the liberal upper-middle class, and have very little to do with an employee's capacity to perform their job.

Econ profs like him and Tom Sowell have basically been arguing for decades that a degree was basically a "signalling" mechanism, that lost a lot (but not all) of its value as standards got more flexible and access got subsidized.
He had a guest over recently that talked about how a large chunk of the IT industry is putting more focus on things like coding "boot camps" (basically slapping buzzwords on trade schools, in a good way) to fast track people into decent-paying jobs with those "livable" wages the populist lefites love to hammer on about. That's just one example.
Even other (old-school 60s lib-style) left-leaning people like Professor John McWhorter and his buddy Glenn Loury have been pushing back against this idea that _everyone_ needs to go to college.
"Innate" aptitude is also underrated, and you can use things like SAT math exam results to get a quick (partial) glimpse of that without forcing people to cram and game the system for years.
Of course, even though hard work only beats talent when talent isn't working very hard, most talent definitely isn't working hard.
Seriously, things like discipline, persistence, the ability to delay gratification, basic financial management, dealing with essential paperwork for gov and business affairs (efficiently), and consistent habits can allow the most average of people to achieve well beyond what they need to make a life worth living.
College looks great for anyone if you _only_ compare it with doing _absolutely nothing_ productive and just jacking it and playing games in the basement all day.
It looks less appealing when you consider what _else_ you can do with the time and money you'd spend there. Imagine the results if you just learned an in-demand trade, via a trade school or a private tutor, with an apprenticeship or internship of some sort near the end, over the course of several _years_ with all your expenses taken care of by a "nest egg" or loan, with only a minority of your time every day being spent on lessons. That's well beyond the prep you need for most decent paying jobs even in a job market like this.
Just don't "stick it in" without thinking and end up with more dependents than you can handle in your youth...

Tell them they can audit free classes, go to a library, and search the internet for almost nothing. You'll have more time to socialize this way too.

She begins by saying that there ARE people out there who are NOT women who can get pregnant.
Hawley says "Ok, so then this isn't a women's issue". She then, by wanting to keep the slogan "women's issue" in her toolkit, says that "Just because it affects more people than just women doesn't mean it's not a women's issue".
But here's the thing: If non-women can get pregnant, then, BY HER OWN LOGIC, calling this a "women's issue" is, BY HER OWN RULES, "USING EXCLUSIONARY LANGUAGE", and therefore denying the existence of trans folk while "opening them up to violence". By her OWN LOGIC. And Hawley should have recognized that and called it out.

When investigating my sons colleges in Illinois last fall, I asked each of the admissions personnel if they thought MEN could get pregnant. Only one laughed at the question, and that's the school my son attends now. The rest (6 in all), gave me a long winded answer on why they thought they needed to accept that fact. I thanked them for their time and immediately walked out. The gapping mouths that I left sitting in the rooms, was priceless. Each of the schools btw, offered full academic scholarships, including the school he is now attending.

This is exactly why I told my 18 year old relative to not go to a traditional college. He's taken classes to be a tradesman electrician. Kid was already getting paid to attend trade school his senior year of high school. Kids making bank already and still attending tradeschool to hone his craft and has a full time job making 100k a year. He's already decades ahead of the same peers his age. Just saying.

"People with a capacity for pregnancy" is not the same as "women". Post-menopausal women are still women, but no longer have the capacity for pregnancy. Post-pubertal girls may not be considered adult until a later age, yet have the capacity for pregnancy. And some women do not have the capacity for pregnancy, for a variety of reasons.
It may be the most precise language for what is being conveyed (I'm obviously not going to read her writings). The professor should have just said "this is the most precise language". Her mistake was bringing up trans people and violence and such. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
She does say not all women have the capacity for pregnancy - but she claims that they aren't relevant for the discussion because they aren't affected. I'd say girls have the future capacity for pregnancy and should be considered since their discussion affects them more.

Worth pointing out that while this professor teaches law at Cal Berkeley (which is a great school), Hawley received his undergrad from Stanford and his JD from Yale.
