Thank you everyone for watching this video. I know it is hard to watch but it is reality and not a fictional story.
This is 25 million North Korean's everyday life. The least we can do is not forgetting them and acknowledge that they are the same humans as us. Even UA-cam demonetize this video, it is our duty to know what is happening in this world and spreading the truth.
I am immensely grateful to have met people like you who are courageous to confront the truth. I salute you all!

"Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing." -John Stuart Mill
Above all else, the reason this keeps happened is because the restrained power lust and ambition of the few who lack compassion and want power at all costs, that is where it starts. Then we have those spreading lies and propaganda to confuse the public, you feed them so much misinformation they struggle to tell what is true and what isn't, you turn them against each other so they are too busy fighting among themselves to notice what you're doing, etc.
And even if they're caught, it never truly ends so long as they live (Considering good people are against killing except in the most extreme of situations, malicious people have the advantage)

@@David-du4xs May I ask if you care to know the fact that mega genocide of indigenous Native Americans, and their population in Continents of America 500 yrs ago was around 15 millions, while European population in Europe was around 25 millions.
Today, Native Americans population at 15 million, while European population, in Continents of America + Europe, is a staggering 'ONE BILLION'!
For instance, 200 years ago here in the USA, around 3 million Germans came, and now there are 65 millions German-Americans; while 150 years ago, around 2 millions Irish came, and now there are 45 million Irish-Americans. While 500 years ago there were estimated to be 5 to 6 millions indigenous Native Americans in the USA, before Christopher Columbus arrived, today there are only around 2 million indigenous Native Americans survived.
Imagine this scenario, if Native American people cross the Atlantic, invade and Colonize Europe, and slaughter most Europeans, and put the remaining populations in tiny reservations, for 500 long years. How would Europeans feel about it? Think about it. All they need is their beloved motherlands back, the lands that their ancestors forebears had lived through thick and thin, endured through hardships and all for generations. Besides, indigenous Native Americans in Colonized lands of Anglo British, Spaniard and others are more of the same. Kill the indigenous Natives and whoever is left, marginalize them and create artificial poverty, once that poverty becomes crime and drinking, the media points to the poor and blames them to continue to stigmatize the 'other' community, scumbags, etc. Amazing fact that Indigenous Natives had built such great civilizations as Mayan, Inca and Aztec without outside help, and all from the scratch, and all on their own, since they had been cut off from the rest of the world for ten of thousand of years. In other words, they actually are great and proud people.
Imagine what it would be like today if Native Americans had possessed some sort of nuclear weapons to defend themselves, and their beloved motherlands from invaders Colonizers? The answer is they would still have their own beloved motherlands, plus their population comparable to that of European population.
In my humble opinion, it's about time to decolonize the Colonized lands, and return it to rightful owners Native American people. Remember, notorious global cardinal crimes the West has committed, and benefited a great deals, such as Slavery & Colonialism had long been over, why on earth is this another notorious Colonization still lingering on, may I ask?

I read letters that my Father wrote back to my Grandfather during his time in combat during Korea Conflict. My family were farmers in this time. In the letter he wrote that during the winter battle poor Korean Farmers were sent to fight the Americans with nothing but hand farm tools. They had no rifles. The soldiers behind them would shoot the farmers in the back if they did not attack. The farmers were very young children to old people both men and women. He had no choice to live but to shoot these poor people. Their frozen bodies were then used for same purpose as sand bags to block bullets as soldiers advanced. His men were always more afraid of running out of ammunition from killing so many simple farmers. I read these letters when I was 7. My Father died when I was 4 (but not in the war). I still remember how these letters impressed upon me what communism was really in North Korea.

This is of course an argument we can't but reject: his record of active and passive decisions shows that money in his hands is not well spent, and certainly not for the people, that aren't his priority. He refuses external aid for his people too, I heard?? (Unsure).
Anyways, it would be idiotic for us to lift sanctions to "save the Korean people": it would be like paying the mafia, like specifically feeding a cancer to heal the patient. Plus, he would then have more nukes to destroy and bully even more people, outside the coutry.

A roll of toilet payer will lay for a year? OMG!
I love your videos, I always look forward to to seeing them.
Please keep them coming, not only am I very interested in this topic, and how it’s possible in this day and age for an entire population to be suffering the life of prisoners, or worse, but the world needs to know this.
Thanks Yeonmi for your bravery and strength in continuing to speak out.

I’ve been watching Yeonmi for a few years now and I just wanna cry when I hear the situation in North Korea. It’s so heartbreaking that they have to live like that. Gosh how I would love to see that system in North Korea get overthrown and see North Koreans flourish and live a normal life. 😭😭

What was your process to break the brainwashing?
I’m still struggling with this. I was kidnapped six years ago and held for a few weeks - so NOTHING at all comparable to your experiences but if you could do it, I figure I can too!

Alyssa, firstly, I'm so sorry. Secondly, I recommend looking up videos on narcissism as narcissists tend to gaslight and brainwash their victims as well. Dr Ramani has an excellent channel and it has helped me immensely to get through past trauma and recognise toxic behaviour in others. This will not be an easy journey, but I know you can get through this and live the life you deserve to live!
