you don't have to purchase a wideband for the microsquirt. you only need it if you are doing your own tuning . which is the same for the holley . since I have had my microsquirt tuned on the dyno, 4 years ago . i have never touched the tune
I’m really behind the times, I don’t run either one of these. I still run the Anderson PMS on my N/A 347. It works great and is super easy to use. I have 3 data sets to choose from. The only downside is I can’t data log and I had to adjust the part throttle under 2k .
Not that I have either of these but What I don’t like is the fact that they only monitor one bank instead of both . So if one bank is running lean you will never know it.
Great video. If you don’t want to use the lcd screen for say afr or boost, if u buy the Holley gauges ie afr or boost, does each gauge take up a port or out? I know you said there is only 4 outs. Also any issues with using the stock gauges with the Holley? Thanks
No issues with the stock guages. You keep the factory connector and run the oil pressure and coolant temp wires through the factory connector along with tach. The holley guages can daisy chain off one pin out so you dont have to use one for each output
I used Megasquirt PNP 2 for some years and needed an extra cable for the comp and right, the wideband ..also paid like 70 Bucks for Software update or Registered Version with mor tuning options...now with Term X its another world .. dont know ..the cable is like 60 and a MAP Sensor costs 10 buck on ebay..not realy Extra Costs ... but a real con for Term X is ..you cant fix it if something goes wrong ..my TX is a maybe a month in the car and worked perfekt ..but 2 days ago out of nowhere engine shuts off and didnt start again ... looks like the internal MAP Sensor fails ... its say Low Err.. so what now ?? yes ..I hooked up a Gm external map Sensor for 10 bucks and car runs again.. my concern is how good are these Term X in Terms of Quality and how long do they last ..internal Map sensor lasted a Month ???
Great comparison, even though it seems there really is no comparison. I’ll be calling you soon even though everything is on backorder LOL Thanks for putting this together. I’m sold.
I’m sold on the Holley system after this video

Good vid Donny !
Awesome stuff! I just bought a Mirco system for my 87 GT. Thanks brother
How is the Micro for you?
Bought me a micro a few yrs ago along with sep 1000s for my 5.9 magnum but it's still sitting on the long block in the corner.
I currently have a megasquirt pnp in my 95 now I’m waiting on Holley to send me the termi. I’ve had nothing but problems with the megasquirt
My experience with Microsquirt remind me when i was playing with rubixcub...
Considering what you pay for the Holley platform, it better be a damn good easy to use system.

I have an 88 speed density mustang. Will the micro squirt work for that? Or do I need to do the MAF conversion prior to using?
Microsquirt is speed density as well so no maf conversion is needed
Better do a 3g upgrade before you install the Holley. 2gs will drain your battery running and parked.
👍💪
Does the Holley system have a preloaded boost map option? And if I understand, you said there is NO mass air on this system correct?
Yes it has maps for turbo and supercharged you can start with and it is a speed density system no maf
@@strangedemon I’m finally starting an 87 build that I bought 25 yrs ago, this makes me happy!! Looking forward to more videos!!

You work for a shop that offers tuning for 95 mustang ?
