  • Dudes. Harry Miree attempts a drum solo in April of 2017 at Exploria Stadium in Orlando FL. Drum solos got inexplicably phased out of the tour after this one. What, was something wrong?

      considering the vocal line right after he catches the stick that was tossed to him "let me grip my stick" I think you may be on to something. Though this video apperently 'woosh'ed like 90% of the people who watched it.

      Jazz: if you make a mistake, repeat it 3 times getting louder each time. No one will notice.

    • @gustafsone
      @gustafsone 3 роки тому +2

      @@bustedfender You have to really mess things up while playing jazz for people to notice. I played saxophone when I was in school and then also sat in a couple of local/regional jazz ensembles from time to time after that. Pretty much the only person who will notice is yourself. So many times after a gig I would be down on myself for F'ing up a solo that I had, and everyone else would be asking me what I was talking about.
      It's hard to not criticize yourself harshly, but once you really that everyone messes up, too, and the tunes don't go down in flames each time, you learn to live with it pretty easily.

    This is one of the most enjoyable solos I have seen. As a drummer of almost 20 years many solos while impressive are banal and show off fests..
    You have such style and individuality in the way you play. I genuinely love the fact that your drop the sticks multiple times..
    Making mistakes and still shredding is oddly more satisfying in a world of so much engineered production.
    The videos you create bring myself and my parter tons of joy...
