This ride was filmed in Girona, Catalunya, Spain; a cycling mecca that has been home to many professional cyclists including Ben O'Connor, Jack Haig, Esteban Chaves, Ryan Mullen, George Bennett, James Knox, Dorian Godon, Jay Vine, and at one point George Hincappie, Lance Armstrong and Tyler Hamilton. Girona is used for training for races such as the Tour de France, Volta Catalunya, Vuelta Espana, Paris-Nice, Giro d'Italia and more. Teams such as INEOS-Grenadiers, Israel-Premier Tech Pro Cycling, Human Powered Health, Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team, UAE Team Emirates and others use Girona for team training camps and rider testing. Girona has also become a gravel riding hotspot with events like The Traka and Traka360 being raced here. - Спорт
So much beauty. I love the fact that not only do you do all the riding, but you take great pictures too. That’s not easy to go out and start riding and then stop take pictures and start again.
Pleasure spending the day with you Tristan. Totally jealous of all the on and off road riding on your doorstep! Your photography definitely does justice to how beautiful it is.
Great to ride with you too mate! Stoked you enjoyed Girona 🙏🏼
classy looking bikes, very classic and timeless look
Man those bikes Are Nice. Great story also
Another brilliant video Tristan! Those are some dreamy gravel trails out here!
Thanks my dude! 🤝🏼
Man your videos make me miss Spain even more. Need to go back very very soon.
Another great video and photos. Keep it up.
Thanks Alex! 🙌🏼
Super cool, and lovely bikes. True what he said about uk/Ireland roads
Another great video ❤
Thanks mate 🙏🏼
Super video mate, & I agree you can"t beat a 70-200 f2.8!
Yeah it’s such a great lens! Unfortunately a bit big to carry on the bike all the time but for variety and quality it’s unbeatable.
Amazing photos!
Visual gold…
Cracking video. Reminded me of the first video i found your channel from..... when you did the first Rally Team photoshoot in S1 E8.
He is absolutely right about the varsatility of a gravel bike in the UK in my opinion. I bought mine in October a couple of years ago and the first winter i barely used it due to the conditions. Once i got a second wheelset with 32mm road tyres and used it as a winter road bike / bikepacking rig i suddenly had 3 bikes on one frame.
That’s awesome to hear. The more I ride my gravel bike the more I realize how completely capable it is. I only run 1x but with a dual chainring setup like the boys in this video it makes a road bike almost obsolete (aside from racing of course). Stoked you enjoyed the video and that you’ve been watching since the Rally days!
Great video - beautiful scenery, interesting company, commentary on your shooting technique. Please keep more like this coming, you lost me for a while with the race oriented stuff which isn't really my thing.
Interesting! 👍👍
Killed it with those photos. 10/10
Thanks man!
Great video. Charlie has a great product and even better service so well worth checking out Paradigm
🙌🏼
Whats that second shoulder strap your using for the camera on the bike? looks SUPER handy 👀
It’s a Rille strap out of the Netherlands. Super simple but super handy, especially when carrying heavier cameras/lenses
Nice video!
What is that fidlock stabilizer strap you’re using on your canon?
Thanks man. It’s a Rille strap from the Netherlands. Works excellently.
Tristantakevideo, nice video. Curious what strap you are using for your camera while riding and what lens you use on rides like that. I have been trying to find a strap to carry my camera but, haven't been able to find one. Thanks and keep up the great work.
Thanks mate. This is a Rille strap, from the Netherlands. Super small brand but the product works great. I used a range of lenses for this day but generally like shooting with 50mm and 85mm primes.
Hey Tristan, I'm sure you get this quite often, but what is the strap you use to keep your camera stable whilst on the bile? Cheers
It’s a Rille strap, from the Netherlands. Small brand but great product. 👌🏼
where did you get that camera strap? looks like an attachment to a regular one to make it 3 point
It’s a Rille strap. Small company, excellent product.
I always see you alone 😂
Sweet question you don't have family😅
No family in Spain..and I like my alone time 😌
A lovely distraction while the boys go nuts at the Giro! 🫣
I like your work, some awesome pictures you got. Nice to see Metal making big moves into the bike scene again. Metal can be recycled forever unlike the carbon, the market is over saturated with frames that do zero for the beautiful environment we want to keep riding in. We are all sold down the river that everything needs to light, it’s all BS for 98% of riders. Anyways, keep riding and smiling.
Agreed. And thanks so much for the kind words! 🙏🏼
