Props to Eat Sleep Cycle. I was bike touring through Girona this summer and bent my rear wheel in a crash, even thought it had cracked. I was a bit put off by the fancy bikes and slick appearance of their operation but I thought they’d be the most likely to stock a new wheel that would fit. So I brought in my dirty old touring bike prepared for some potential elitist roadie vibes, but nothing of the sort! Everyone was super cool. The “crack” in my rim turned out to be the weld seam 😂. Their friendly mechanic re-trued the rim same day for 20$. All help, no attitude.
Mike is just a great guy. Eat Sleep Cycle is just a great place for everything regarding cycling. I did a self-guided tour with them and couldn’t be happier with the support. All of their bikes were top notch and everyone we talked to was so supportive. The routes they suggested were just perfect. Can’t say enough about the experience.
The folks at that shop are super helpful. The mechanics helped me solve 2 different problems during the course of a week. Also, don't leave without having the veggie sandwich at the cafe - it is so good!
If you are still there check out Jordi Fortia's shop. It's an old school, no frills, shop run by an ex grand tour rider. When I was there four years ago he fixed my bike for me and while I waited I noticed a lot of pro bikes being fixed there. No mirrors, nothing fancy, just the old days.
Eat Sleep Cycle took great care of us in Girona. 5 stars. Met Mike at a different retailer in Girona where he now works (or divides his time?). What a great ambassador for the sport and the locale.
Bought online from them a 50th Anniversary Ritchey Road Logic frameset..... shipped from Girona to Puerto Rico. Had an issue after receiving it and they resolved it diligently. Great customer service!
I have been to this shop and they are so nice and helpful--both with products and offering service. The coffee shop is really good, too! My friend lives near Girona and we both ride road and gravel--I love visiting her with my bike.
Wow! Awesome shop and interview! Hopefully this post will enter me into the one-man drawing for that Nickel Cinelli…lol. Thanks for the content and keep the wheel side down!
Girona has always been a hub for cycling. Fantastic climbs with nicely paved small roads once you get out of town a bit. Some of my favorite cycling. Also very fun just riding around town. Then there is the food and wine.
Was there a few years back, same time of year… rode up to Banyoles and Rocacorba. The area is awesome. Wish we had more bike/coffee shops in the US. Bentonville comes close but not a patch on Girona.
It would be nice to see a video of you visiting The Service Course. Whenever I visit Girona, I will make sure to stop at East Sleep Cycle and The Service Course, of course! :)
Super video Russ! Love the concept & feel of Eat Sleep Cycle! More of this culture content please (along with the great ride videos). Since I switched to René Herse tires, there is no going back. This shop says quality and focusses on the experience! Great video! Ride On! VéloKröte
What a rad shop! When the shop guide subconsciously(or not, either way…) set the crank position on one of the display bikes to show correctly, I was bike-nerding out. Attention to detail is everything to me. This place is on my hit list when I travel to Girona! 👌🏻
Yep. Nice shop indeed. Great location too. I was there last year with my folder. I found the shop a bit too fancy with carbon frames for my taste though. Good riding around this bike shop neighborhood. Not sure if this is kosher or not but I have my Girona videos on my other travel oriented channel.
I have to say Russ, your interview skills have vastly improved. You seem much more relaxed and confident. What a cool shop. Europeans definitely have the upper hand in cycling culture. Looking forward to the rest of your international series 👍🏻
Great to see u guys on the road again, no pun intended. Hopefully u can find some more obscure store/ culture offerings. Those people luv their slick tho. May have to go somewhere a little grimier. 🙂Be safe and healthy, and enjoy! Russ looks like he needs to chill on the Mediterranean and listen to the waves still. Lol ✌💛
Well done and Eat Sleep Cycle was on their game too. It was really interesting to see the split off in clothing designs...not floppy flappy gravel but prints and colors but is bicyclists and designers taking the stage away from the race set.
That fellow is an excellent ambassador for this exceptional and interesting shop. I am intrigued by the way they are adapting, or maybe rather leading the way, to a new retail environment.
how about cycling apparel in Girona, tips to buy, when to buy and price range. Thanks for this info. Ii'm planning to book a month of cycling in Girona.
If you want to feel the real essence of cycling in Spain you must visit ALICANTE in Comunidad Valenciana and not Cataluña, because the 80% of professional team cyclist are living and training here on my province, and i can present you Manuel Guijarro and their son Javier Guijarro, father and son cycling professionals bikers on my town...and one of best mechanic of Spain who works for Abu Dabhi professional team who runs on Tour France, Giro Italia, Vuelta Ciclista España, etc... My province got 345 days of sun and 30°C 9/10 months at year... Much better than other places in Spain, greetings!!
Beautiful shop with amazing bikes. We rented about 10 high-end bikes and yes it was peak season (April) but some had pretty bad (mechanical) flaws... gears not indexed (like some were unusable) and mine for example had zero carbon paste on the seatpost: a whole day I was riding a "childs" bike because it dropped down so far. Kinda ruined my day... People are very nice btw.
Russ, hope you meet up with some of the Spanish UA-camrs in Spain that review interesting bikes like you, some have even cited your work in their videos.
I'm considering coming to Giorno for the mountain bike event next year March 31 st to April 2nd. I'll fly my MTB over but do you rent rode/ gravel bikes?
Wonderful shop tour! I know where I'd like to be at this moment 🙂Funny, but no coincidence I recognise the bridge and the terrace from several (road) cycling channels I follow. For Europe, indeed Girona is thé place to be
Exactly my thoughts all throughout the video. I could stand the trendy nature it has acquired, but cannot condone that it's not even eco-friendly any more... travelling to ride plastic bikes and feel cool. :/
@@KarlosEPM Yeah mate, I was 15 when Armstrong and ullrich were at it, it was expensive but now it's just gone silly and.ia the new golf. Like a pair of cycling shorts for £200, but then everything has went outta hand due to cheap and.easy credit. However, this is coming to an end :0
@@Murphy252000 There is an upside though: the advancements do trickle down. And bike stuff devaluates like crazy. We will land awesome deals for dreamy kit, more so than we can do now (I ride 90's top spec bikes bought for ~100 € plus refurbishment costs, I work on them myself). Some good stuff is made to last, and many people end up storing wonderful machines before even wearing down a single chain or tire set!
Shows the advantages of running such a business in continental Europe. Mike is completely on the ball. Seeing a setup like this and an employee like this makes Brexit seem all the more stupid.
What an incredible shop! I would buy a whole new riding wardrobe here, since I have 14 bikes currently. I have been to a few great shops, but this one is really something special.
Be careful about getting you bike stolen. Went with them for a private tour with a rental bike. Asked for a lock and they said you don’t need it. Of course the bike got stolen and they made me pay for it. Otherwise they did a good job with the tour.

Nice words! Thanks a lot !
Girona’s super store. Cheers for the shout out Mike!
PLP are always welcome in Newcastle, England to come see us :)
Please check in and do a collaboration with Francis Cade!
a work of incredible depth and breath
PLP goes international! So cool and can’t wait to see more content from your trip. Take care y’all!
Looking forward to seeing video of Russ on his weekend Ferrari. Index shifting! Road cleats! Tight Lycra!
"Party ON Pace" LOL

Mike was super friendly and helpful - he solved a tech problem I had and saved my trip muchas gracias
Sold! I gotta get me to Girona next spring. Thanks Mr. Party Pace. Much appreciated.
Awesome bike/coffee shop setup and love the opportunity to rent and experience quality bike. Great video!
What a great video all bike shops should be like that one. Super sweet shop enjoy your trip.
We visited a few bike shops when we were in Girona. This one was definitely the friendliest from our experiences.
Awesome interview and bike shop!
Eat Sleep Cycle took great care of us in Girona. 5 stars. Met Mike at a different retailer in Girona where he now works (or divides his time?). What a great ambassador for the sport and the locale.
Love it. You keep increasing the stoke for a visit to Girona!

Oh my Lord that cinelli 👌
Honestly the flamenco guitar and Gerona is like dinner jazz and Bangladesh.
Doing my best 🤷🏽♂️Sadly no Catalan royalty free music with the service I use.
I have been to this shop and they are so nice and helpful--both with products and offering service. The coffee shop is really good, too! My friend lives near Girona and we both ride road and gravel--I love visiting her with my bike.
I will definitely be visiting this place! So cool!
Good video. Great bike shop. Girona is now on my bucket list.
We need some place like that here in the Northeast. Thanks for the great video. Take care, Al
Thanks Russ - living the dream through you vicariously! Enjoy your time in Spain!
Wow! Awesome shop and interview!
Hopefully this post will enter me into the one-man drawing for that Nickel Cinelli…lol.
Thanks for the content and keep the wheel side down!
Great show! You guys are the best at finding cool bike shops!
Wow, so jealous of this shop. I have a great bike shop but the coffee shop attached adds another level!! Nice video. 😊
I'm about to visit Girona this month so I'm even more excited to check out Eat Sleep Cycle after this video.

Superb outfit , friendly and mechanics top notch crew . Highly recommend
How nice! Welcome in sant feliu de Guixols!

Been there nice shop, happy they are coming to Malaga.

Pretty cool bike shop!
Those tech tees were cool. It's nice to see some "cycling-specific" gear that actually look good! 😅
That Legor Cicli at the 11:00 mark ❤
Come to the Sierra Nevada!
Awesome shop
Girona is like Hogwarts on bikes (no riffraff)
What a cool shop
👏 more travel videos please! 👍
I thought it was you riding in the opposite direction on the road to Els Angel today! My wife and I were on the Soma Sagas. Keep up the great videos!
Ha. Yeah. Spotted your steel bikes and bags :)
Man, they're doing it RIGHT!

Really nice to see Mike in his element 👏🏽 Definitely visiting the bike shop next time I am Girona
hollllyyyy shit. this was incredible. russ keep uploadinggg!!!
I like the idea of a tiathalon with trail running instead of regular running, and a gravel course instead of road.

Nice one!
Bianchi's everywhere but not in the shop. Beautiful set up.

If you are in Paris before flying back home, check La Chouette and Cycles Treize!

That Colnago frame in the coffee shop…..🤤
That's the most carbon I've ever seen on this channel.
If you pass through Barcelona I hope you can check out Nua Bikes.
I'm considering coming to Giorno for the mountain bike event next year March 31 st to April 2nd. I'll fly my MTB over but do you rent rode/ gravel bikes?
Mike is very cool. Met him and gave me a big discount on one their high end Ridley rental road bikes to do Mare de Deu del Mont.
@@kentmanning not sure
They needed to show more of the bikes . I was hoping they would show all the brands and talk bikes more.

I’m guessing they don’t do much camping on their rides???
But not much local???
Great video, nice guy, great shop.... but I don't think "building the plane as we fly" is a very solid business strategy ;-)
Well it seems to be working, but I know what you mean 😀
This shop doesn't look very Party Pace...
You've been in Girona? i live 3 minutes from this shop!!
