The Grav 'Chute that the Space Wolf uses is part of the tool kit to allow for unconventional attacks, appearing where they shouldn't be and being insane while doing it.
@@XStreet1985 No, the Assault Class is filling the role that the Reaver took here and in Space Marine II they actually have full on Jump Packs (with vectored thrust) rather than the Grav 'Chute. Grav 'Chutes don't allow for the same range of motion and ease of ascent but they allow you to have a wider range of armor patterns and still use them - and they're also quiet compared to the sound of Jump Pack thrusters.
Incase you are wondering the Space Marine with the bolter has anti-necron rounds which prevents the necron from phasing out and returning to their tomb. This is why you see the Black Templar letting the Crimson Fist finish off the Flayed One that he impaled with his power sword.
From reading the Twice Dead King, their recall protocols do not work on Flayed Ones (think of it like an actual computer virus and their system won't accept them), might be the same for destroyers as they are also "cursed/changed" from standard Necron form.

Could we become slaves to them and they let us live"?" Muhahaha. I need a Tau pov to same kind of devastating invasion. 99% of novels it's grimdark horrors vs Imperium/mankind, but we could be the horrors TOO.

He even has one on Erebus. I'd totally recommend checking out their channel/adding them to the list of what's to come to continue your upwards climb to understanding the lore 💙💚

There's an "Angels Of Death Origin" animation that came out a while back. It's about the Shipmistress Volken. How she became the Shipmistress for the Blood Angels Sword Of Ball ship.
Some short ones I recommend watching videos of the Death Korps of Krieg dancing to Vengaboys like "BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM" or "We're going to Vracks, Back to the trenches", "Attack of the Death Korps" and others made by Janovich. "Life Could Be a Dream" edit from Barry Walts. Another good one is "How One Space Marine Defended An Entire Planet, Priad of the Iron Snakes"
I get the confusion about jump packs, tibs! The Space Wolf Reiver has those anti gravity vanes on his backpack, which are good for literal jumping, and getting places without fall damage, in gamer terminology, haha. Reivers have always been a Primaris marine unit, and so, have only been available since Guilliman returned/got a 40k model about seven years ago. As you know from SM2, actual jump packs allow for a bit more than jumping, but it's not always depicted like other things flying either, so they're called powered "jumps". Jump packs have been around at least a few decades now, typically on Assault squads for what are now called firstborn marines. In the last couple of years, Primaris Assault marines & officers got new minis with a new twist on the classic jump packs. The front intakes are smaller, and they have those anti gravity vane panels too, similar to Reivers and other existing Primaris jumpy boys. And yes, the Crimson Fists are typically sensible, compared to the other Imperial Fists descendants, the Black Templars 😅. Maybe we can move on from that Pedro Kantor/Kantor Blue slander on stream now lol
Watch angels of death on warhammer plus. Its very good. It what richard boylan (creator of the helsreach movie) did for gw. I know youve probably heard all the "gw is an evil company" nonsense, but the shows on warhammer plus are pretty damn good. While their quantity of shows is lacking, whats there is definitely worth subscribing for a month or two to watch whats there. They even combined all the episodes so you can watch it like a movie which ends up being like 2.5 hours. Plus theres some prequel episodes they later added that gave the characters some more depth. So there ya go, you have a full animated movie to watch!

The worst part is that Destroyer Lord will have a new body in a few hours. Anywho the 'Destroyer' in the title means this Necron, Necron Lord in this case, did not wake up sane. The absolute horror of their soulless condition drives them to a form of nihilistic madness where they wish to end ALL life everywhere. Because of this they reject keeping their body more or less Necron shaped over modifications to become more deadly and destructive. Unlike Flayers, which is the result of a C'tan curse, this is the result of the their subconscious mind rejecting what they've become. In one of the novels we see a Necron Lords discussing why hobbies and distractions are so important, if staves off this form of madness. This is why Necrons have stage plays that last months, or weird hobbies. Trayzn has his obsession over is museums, Orikan his plans based on his divination algorithms, Szeras his obsession to ascend to godhood, Zahndrekh pretends to be mad and believe he's still alive fighting the unification wars, ect, ect. Because of this a cetain level of free will and thought is needed so regular warriors don't have the capacity. Immortals are about as low ranked as Destroyers go. While useful weapons of mass destruction they don't follow orders and have no purpose beyond killing. Destroyer Lords are worse because they can still think tactically and lesser Destroyer will usually follow them. But when using them Necron battle plans have to plan around Destroyer behavior as even if they understand the plan they won't follow it if an opportunity to kill more life crops up.
When I made my *Blood Angel* Vanguard in *Space Marine 2* and looked at its dead white vampire face… I knew that “this isn’t a Blood Angel”. I think it was a rastafari or something…
