I love this device. It's perfect for me, because I primarly play FPS, RTS, and CRPG games so having the full keyboard and mouse makes such a huge difference.
Hi. Many thanks for your video. I recently upgraded from the 6800u winmax 2 to the 7840u 64gb. It is an amazing gaming handheld pc. The storage is fantastic, it can hook up to an external monitor and a tv and an external egpu. I can get around 8 - 20 fps more depending on the game and can emulate anything. It is the most powerfull handheld available and has the largest screen. I love gdp.
Hi mate, thank for the feedback! I'm not sure about Davinci Resolve but Premier Pro and Wondershare Filmora 12 work great on it. I normally do some quick 4k editing but again haven't pushed anything beyond 40min of video. So it would purely depend on your project. But overall, I'm happy to be doing some light editing especially while I'm overseas. Hope that helps.
Great video, thank you for sharing. How is the keyboard for sending basic emails on the go? I am looking for a devices that can game on but also I can throw in my back pack and take it with me to work meetings.
The GPD Win Max 2 is perfect for sending basic emails on the go. I've used it for personal emails and even work emails when I'm out and about. It should serve you well for both gaming and productivity needs during your work meetings.
Hi, I just wanted to share that I’ve recently purchased the Western Digital WD SN740 2TB M.2 SSD 2230 NVMe from AliExpress for AUD $237.76 (USD $151.20). Interestingly, they have a promotion running at the moment, lowering the price to AUD $214.06 (USD $136.13)! Here’s the link if you’re interested: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Dlvmga7 So, as of now, I’m running with a 2TB internal 2280 and a 2TB 2230, which is plenty for my current needs. However, I’m definitely keeping an eye out for sales in the future - upgrading to a 4TB or even an 8TB would be fantastic. Let me know if you have any other questions or need further information!
hi bro! thanks for the review! please tell me, I want to take the same version, but I’m worried about the screen size since it is smaller than most ordinary laptops, can you make a video on this topic, or briefly tell me about your impression, as I understand you are editing on it Video in Premier Pro, is the screen size enough for you, or do you use an external one monitor?
Hey Bro, Certainly! I’ve had the opportunity to use both the GPD Win Max 2 with its 10.1-inch screen and the Surface Go series. Both are smaller than a standard 15” laptop, but they each have their unique benefits. The GPD Win Max 2, despite its compact size, has impressed me. You may need to zoom in a bit more on your videos due to the smaller screen, but it’s not a significant obstacle. What stands out about the GPD Win Max 2 is its portability and surprising power for video editing, especially when I’m on the go. On the other hand, the Surface Go series is slightly larger by about 0.4 inches. It’s a solid device, but in comparison, it doesn’t quite match the GPD Win Max 2 in terms of editing capabilities. If you feel the need for a larger screen while using the GPD Win Max 2, you can always hook it up to a portable monitor. I’ve used a 15” one myself and it works wonderfully with it. In conclusion, if you’re looking for a portable device that doesn’t compromise too much on editing power, the GPD Win Max 2 is a great choice. It outperforms not only most tablets but also the Surface Go series in this aspect. Hope this helps you make a decision!
wow, very good answer, thank you very much! I myself plan to use it as a PC, that is, separately connect the monitor, mouse and keyboard, , it would look as if I was in front of a computer, with very good power, but there is also the option to buy G1 separately, which is In general there will be a full-fledged gaming PC)@@techstickles1305
from time to time, just like YOU, I plan to take it with me on a trip, and as you know, this laptop, despite all its power, will be very autonomous, and the point is this: as I understand the maximum power reaches no more than 40 watts (this is the power of the processor and built-in video card) and conditionally another 10 watts for the use of all laptop parts,a total of 50 watts, and power supply from the network gives 100 watts, that is, half will go to maximum laptop performance, and half will most likely just go on charging the laptop, and I'm wondering, from the mains, will the laptop consume energy from the battery as well, or will the battery *rest* and just will charge?, this greatly affects the wear and tear of the battery in the future@@techstickles1305
