- This video teaches you how to make a journal with lace on the spine.
This tutorial is made by Tina Guilbert with our "Crochet and Knitting" kit.
Of course you can use other papers to make this craft project as well.
And you can use these printables for an infinite amount of other crafts as well, like many of our other tutorials.

TOOLS & MATERIALS USED
✂ designs print on light cardstock
✂ recycled boxes (cereal box type) for the cover
✂ scissors
✂ paper trimmer (optional)
✂ sandpaper or sander
✂ packing tape
✂ double sided tape
✂ bone folder (optional but handy)
✂ fabric (muslin or cotton)
✂ awl
✂ tread and needle
✂ glue (Tina uses Fabri Tac and Art Glitter Glue)
✂ scoring board or scoring tool, ruler and mat
✂ gold pen (optional)
✂ crystal glaze (optional)
✂ corner miter tool (Tina's are from colorwayarts.com) (optional)

I just purchased this kit & am so excited to make a journal with it!! I Crochet, knit & embroider, so this is going to be a fun one to make for myself! Thank you for the tutorial, Tina... it turned out GREAT! I also want to thank you Tinne for always putting out such wonderful kits for us to create with!! I have so, so many of them & love them all!! I know it sounds a bit early, but I'm getting ready for a Christmas show in December & am going to be adding this to my stock for the show. FUN!!!

As always Tinne, you are right on time with a specific kit that I need! Thank you! I'm going to New York with my boyfriend to visit his sister in about 11 days and wanted to make a crotchet/knitting themed journal as a surprise since it will be my first time meeting her in person. However, I was not having any luck finding a kit that I was happy with. And then here comes your video with the perfect kit for me!! Wow!! How amazing! Thanks to you for creating it and to Tina for a great tutorial! 😊 Now, my only problem is deciding on the mini, standard, or deluxe kit. 🤣

Would like information on the plastic bottle you put your Fabri Tac into? I haven't found one with just the right of size opening and yours looks perfect.thanks.
My concern with using packing tape is, it may become brittle over time, where is more of a cloth/sport tape would stay flexible?
