Splat tim is a fan character created by the deep splatoon community, the people loved him so much that they made a kind of a slogan for him and the phrase was "he does it"
Now is getting less popular because he was created in splatoon 1 era, from the cat vs. Dog splatfest.

@@SaveMeMoon In the Japanese version (and some other international versions) of BoTW, the Adventure Log is actually Link's diary (Giving us more insight into his character), but this was changed to a more generic Adventure Log in the North American version. Why NoA/Treehouse did this? I don't know. But my best guess is that they most likely though that the Adventure Log being Link's diary would "break the immersion" or some other BS excuse. (Either that or they're probably too scared to give Link even the slightest bit of a proper personality.)

@@donbototo5068 well, there's some exceptions, (kinda) twilight princess zelda, spirit tracks zelda and age of calamity zelda, those are the only ones i can think of
The Zelda from OoT guided link as Sheik.
Zelda in TP saved midna and helped link in the final fight
Zelda/tetra saved both link and his sister from ganondorf and helped him in the final Battle.
Spirit tracks Zelda was link companion though all' the story.
At last Zelda in botw saved links Life by bringing him to the altar of rebirth and then soloed calamity ganon for a century (She also helps in the final Battle).
So no, doing nothing and wait to be saved it's not among the family traditions
