  • Albino bearded dragons and hets are now being sold in the US. Let's do this the right way and outcross early so we can reap the benefits of having cool bearded dragons without the negative effects of inbreeding.

    Hi! I am Seedidea's girlfriend. He has seen your video and would like to clarify something about inbreeding 😊
    He said "Firstly, yes, the first healthy albino T+ was a female. I had no other way to develop her except by inbreeding her offsprings that were from different dads. That was three years ago. In this inbreeding project, I didn't sell any of those offsprings. The healthiest were selected develope further by crossbreeding with Zero, Witblit, and Citrus to diversify the bloodline. This is the third year that I have been developing them keeping in my mind that their health is the most important. They have been shared with breeders who have been following this project for over three years, and all are doing well.
    Sales is not as important as my dragons'well-being. So I'm not focusing on inbreeding to increase numbers for sale. I only do it when necessary and continue development only when they are healthy.
    I don't know what other Asian breeders are doing nor I can stop them. However, I am doing my best to breed my dragons the best I can while doing researches and collect information to share the results with other breeders, so that the dragons'world is a better place.
    I personally agree with you and thank you for your concern 😊"

      @user-um9wj5ec8x yes, I know inbreeding needs to happen. I mentioned that a video about inbreeding before, but once morphs are made available to the public, they should be out crossed.

    I’ve been watching these for a while and man do I wish I could afford them and breed the gene into some reds. I am worried about people that will get them from people breeding them child to parent or child to child.

    ,,t+'' what is mean?
    I heard the first was Bob Withey?

    • @qbstailsnscales
      @qbstailsnscales  Місяць тому

      @charlieecharliee t+ just means there is not way for the black pigment to be made, but there is still red and yellows. T- is mostly all white because it doesn't produce any melanin.

    What would be good to breed with my orange citrus blue bar tiger stripe? I'm just starting.

      @spoon9785 too many options. The question is really open ended. What do you want to produce? What is your end goal? From the sound of it, you got a long ways before you're actually able to start breeding.

      @qbstailsnscales My end goal is bright yellow bright orange without loosing the blue bars. I'm looking at a trans citrus blue bar for a mate. I think that's my best move.

      @@spoon9785 translucent actually takes away a lot of the brightness from yellow and gives them more of green/orange undertone. If you're cool with it, then that's fine. I like the green undertone myself. I have a hypo trans leather dunner blue bar male.
