@redeemablejunkjournals7638 not sure where I said that, but there is het trans and visual trans. Het translucent means that the dragon carries one copy of the gene. Visual translucent means that it carries two copies of the gene.

@@qbstailsnscales I have a red hypo trans. Just trying to understand what would be a good breeding partner for it? I’m no where ready to start breeding but trying to learn all I can about it. It seems almost all morphs have hypo or trans in their morph.

@redeemablejunkjournals7638 yes, the breeder you get the dragon from will give you the details. If they cannot, then I would treat the dragon as a pet and not breed it.

Tell us what ghosting is on a snake one video and maybe follow with information on the history of the breeders that popularized it.. Alien heads on another.. Then go to your beardie channel and tell people about normal scales specifically, then dunners specifically.. Then leatherbacks.. Then how hypomelanism genetics play a role in each scale type and that can be your 'Morph' series.. Then tell us about witblits, zeros weeks, red monsters, g stripes all in their own respective videos.. That can be the line breeding series.. Now I know some of these are covered already but there's always new information and new things going on in the breeding world with all of these things(especially drama with said information) and I wouldn't shy away from that aspect either.. Content creation isn't the arena where you wanna play it safe.. You want people in the comments disagreeing with you and subsequently, people who come to bat for your information.. That's what causes traction and since your experience is there eventually it'll all just turn into something that speaks for itself when the following, views and information all comes together.. But yeah, long story short categorization would help

@lorelei-leedavis5318 they are too big usually 2 or so after they are due to lay. My rule of thumb is the marbles in the stomach are visible, then they are due within 2 weeks. If those 2 weeks pass, then they are going to be too big to pass after 2 weeks. If you're breeding, then 2 months is usually too long if you know she is gravid a few weeks after breeding.

You obviously need to do more research yourself. By the time your snakes lay, which can take over 6 months, those snakes are easily pushing 1800, if not over 2kg. Don't watch my videos, if you're gonna be negative 😅

Translucent to het translucent is doable. However because trans is such a weak gene, het to het is always the best route if you're wanting to avoid any issues. People do lie about genetics so you never know when you get a dragon that came from lineage of trans x trans.

Yea, in an ideal world, I would have all the space and time I need for reptiles and their feeders. I breed enough roaches to feed my adults, but when breeding season comes, I need to be pumping out 20k a month.. that's a lot of colonies!

@user-ky6ng7sq9n this is why I made this video.. people don't understand what polygenic is.. if a dragon that "isn't" a genetic stripe because of your standards, produces a genetic stripe, then what do you do?

No dragon is dead. Dragons swim and/or go under water to hide from predators.

@charlieecharliee I didn't say they couldn't be combined? They are two separate morphs and about 40-60% of the babies I produce have both hypo and translucent in them.

@@qbstailsnscales I didn't say it was your statement. I read it somewhere, probably on some forum. I'm just looking for confirmation of these words. It has long been known that the trans gene is not entirely a stable gene.

The German giant was a type of dragon that once existed but we no longer see them because people bred them with smaller dragons to create bigger versions of them but at the same time we lost the German giant lines.
