    The Pi Prime pizza oven is the successor to the original Pi Pizza Oven launched by Solo Stove a few years ago. This version is gas-only. Set up is a breeze so you'll be baking incredible Neapolitan-style pizza in no time.
    📝 VIDEO NOTES (This section is updated anytime I have more to add)
    The Pi Prime does not fit on the current Pi outdoor stand. That stand will only work with the original Pi Pizza Oven launched a few years ago.
    In the video, I mention that a stone temp between 775°F - 800°F (413°C - 427°C) is good. After further testing, closer to 800°F (427°C) works best.

    Not a lot of bells and whistles with the Pi Prime, but I like that. It's simple, built well, and makes great pizza. Chicken, bacon, ranch pizza for life!

    Nice review, Tim! There are so many of these pizza ovens now (and it seems you have tested almost all of them) that it is probably time to test them head-to-head.

      I could do that, but I don't have every oven I've ever tested on-hand. I sold a couple, of them, then gave the rest to friends and family. Pretty sure I have 8 on-hand at the moment.

      Much appreciated! I haven't tested back-to-back bakes yet, but it's fair to assume that the oven needs a few minutes between each pizza so the stone temp can recover.

      I use 1 teaspoon peppercorns, 1 tablespoon sugar, slice 1/2 red onion thinly pole to pole, cover this in a 500ml jar with white distilled vinegar then fill completely with boiling water. Leave to pickle for 1 hour and they're ready.

    Looks good, I've been eyeing this oven as an upgrade to my ooni koda 12.
    What size dough ball was that? Looked on the larger size for a 12" pizza but I liked it!

    • @KitchenCraftFood
      @KitchenCraftFood  9 місяців тому

      You can turn the heat way down on these ovens to get more browning, but a home oven with a pizza steel also works great.

    Does this connect to a normal 20lb. LP Gas tank? And will this fit on the existing Pi outdoor stand?

    • @KitchenCraftFood
      @KitchenCraftFood  9 місяців тому +1

      Yep, connects to a standard propane tank, but it doesn't fit on the Pi outdoor stand. I asked Solo Stove and they just confirmed that for me.

    • @kidcraft1433
      @kidcraft1433 9 місяців тому

      I asked solo the same question…their response.
      “Yes, the NEW Pi Prime Oven is compatible with the Pi Stand. It is designed to nest along the grooves of the Pi Prime Oven for a secure fit. They were made for each other!”

    • @KitchenCraftFood
      @KitchenCraftFood  9 місяців тому

      Well dang, that's confusing. I emailed my contact, and she told me exactly what I said above. The feet are different on the Prime. That's the only thing that would concern me about fitment. Other than that, the ovens occupy the same space.

    • @kidcraft1433
      @kidcraft1433 9 місяців тому +1

      @@KitchenCraftFood well, I emailed them a second time and they informed me that their initial response to me was incorrect. Glad I didn’t purchase the stand. So no, the new pi prime oven does not fit the prime stand, which seems like a big oversight on their part.
