    When I first started watching, I said "that looks like the Fox River Trail", then "Hey, that looks like downtown Batavia, Prairie Path Cycles is right there" Then I realized, hey, I have seen you riding around before :) Thing looks cool on the road!

    Always good to know when officers are willing to inform their colleagues about you and velomobiles in general so that there most likely won't be any issues in the future.

      How much is one of these Velomobiles? They look interesting.

    • @devtech61
      @devtech61 9 років тому +1

      DarkComet360 They range from around $5,000 for a kit to over $10,000 for one with headlights, tail lights, horn, turn signals, etc. You can also add electric assist for hillier parts of the world. That may seem like a lot to many people but if you buy it to replace a car, like I am, it can pay for itself in a little over a year. Check out pedalyourselfhealthy.org/Velos/VeloComparisonChart.html for a good comparison chart. The one in this video looks like either a Mango or a BlueVelo Quest or Strada.

    These things look like 3 wheeled pedal powered streamliners to me. Now if you can build me one to look like Breedlove's Spirit of America, I might just consider it...Cool!

    After viewing another one of your great videos,I was thinking.Hey why not get all these cops an electric velomobiles for their beat! Think of the savings to the tax payer.I say electric since the cops need speed at times.Ha

      MegaKameleon123 A lot of cops don't know what it is and think it has a motor. It is also allowed on roads and sidewalks because it meets the standards of a bike.

    Think the cop overreacted a bit? Even if it was something that shouldn't be on a bike trail. Cutting you off like that doesn't seem the best approach.

  • @johntingle455

    This video sucks. it's titled cops and velomobiles. right at 9 minutes long and the only enteraction with police is where they turned in their siren and stopped you. no recording of the police. Just less than 30 seconds of you putting up captions on the screen. you should have titled this video, "velomobiles and the drivers who don't know how to make an interesting video". I hope you improve in the future.

    Why do citizens address police officers as sir? Did we citizens all enlist in some invisible fascist militaristic service organization where we all must subserviently address our "superiors" as "Sir"?
    Through four years of being in the military during the "Vietnam conflict," I came to the point of avoiding "Sir" on any and every occasion where I thought I could get away with it, including failing to salute. My own little meaningless protest. (It wasn't meaningless to me, obviously. I should add that I never even came close to Vietnam or combat.)
    .

    • @kens97sto171
      @kens97sto171 9 років тому +1

      Because you show respect that way. Same reason I use "sir" when addressing anyone else that deserves it. My grandfather, father, uncle...etc.
      Its not a military thing... Sir and mam are just respectful prefixes
      Btw.. Thank you for your service.

    • @geoh7777
      @geoh7777 9 років тому +1

      kens97sto171 It's interesting to note that police in some areas of the country show respect to "civilians" by not tasing, clubbing, or shooting them. It is better, obviously, if both police and citizens (not "civilians," as the police in their militaristic pretentiousness characteristically call us) drop the "Sir" posturing and simply do honest and forthright business with one another.
      It seems to be going in the other direction, however.
