Them aggressive Palm strakes. Kreese was able to get out the words "Finish Him" before Eli left the big man so bloody on the floor that he had Tori terrified of him, and Kyler unable to look him in the eyes.
This scene is not only really good because you can see and feel Hawk's anger while turning his bully into minced meat, but it's also really good because it quite effectively shows you what bullying creates.
i never saw this series, mostly i don´t be on the platforms these serie is runing or were runing but i thing hawk is one of the characters i would relate the most and i am curious about his ways in the show. with kreese (hope i write this right) in the game i have the feeling that hawk could potentionaly go on the wrong path, begining to be a bully himself. being bullied my self multiple times i know that feeling and how tempting it is to deliver this to others when there is one inch of power inside of your grasp. without knowing how his way in the show ill be from that point on i hope he will be a great character. a kind of character what know what it is like to suffer to bullies and used his expierience to prevent something like that for others and teach others.
I love how Kyler's earlier easy victory gave Brucks quite a bit of over-confidence here. That was some nice foreshadowing in the story-telling. The writers understood that they were 'splitting the difference' in regards to the audience. Allowing 1 bully to overwhelm his opponent whilst later allowing the other bully to be overwhelmed. It added to the tension later on in the story. Hawk never felt like he was a part of Kreese's Cobra Kai even though he was absolutely loyal to Johnny earlier. This scene ultimately set him up for his 'turn' against Cobra Kai later.
Hawk deserved his vengeance. They bullied him too long and thought there would never be consequences. I just hope he can temper his rage and join Johnny in the REAL Cobra Kai
I loved how Eli put fear in his bullies heart, he looked at him as if he was saying, see your friend on the floor? That's your ass if you ever cross me again
Funny how Kyler forgot about how Eli was top dog in Cobra Kai before Robbie came in and still tried to provoke him in the S4 tournament just because they essentially sucker punched him and got rid of his mohawk
@@marcusj17I had the very same thought in my mind. He somehow thought that just because Eli left Cobra Kai and joined another dojo, he became “some kind of pussy”, and tried to bully him again.
But he never returns after that scene I'm pretty sure he's dead especially after the old dude says pick him up off my floor, probably meaning dispose of his body
@BearShark-ef9tm I think its more he just got ditched, cause you see kyler starts hanging out with the cobras after this episode instead of his old crew from season 1
I like how in the end when he was wailing on him he wasn’t even hitting him correctly with the knuckles, but rather the finger knuckle like an ape smashing on something, anyone who’s ever been bullied knows the rage, frustration, and pent up anger Hawk had within him
Jacob is the best of the young actors in the show, by a long shot. His insane charisma and level of expressiveness is the reason Hawk is the favorite character of many people
Remember, Kreese was bullied too…he heard what Hawk wanted in his voice, and Kreese happily obliged. That look on Kreese’s face was more than mere satisfaction… it was catharsis living vicariously through Hawk
Kreese couldn't even finish saying "finish him" before Eli started his ground and pound game on his face. I like this little tidbit here that further encapsulates Hawk's anguish. :D
I like how Tubbo was in the middle of an insult, but it died in the wind the MOMENT he saw the Hawk tattoo. I think on some level, he realized he was about to get his shit pushed in.
There was something really deep about Hawk beating Brucks instead of Kyler here- Kyler is the ringleader who wants to take charge. Eli was his target, and in Kyler's arrogance, he assumed Eli would always be the same scared kid that he'd bully. But now that Eli has become Hawk, he's not afraid of Kyler and his friends anymore. They made fun of him again which brought out Eli's insecurity for a moment, but then Hawk reemerged and got his revenge by destroying Brucks, and then the glare at Kyler that says "cross me and you're next." To me, that's far better revenge than if Hawk fought Kyler here.
At 2:17 I like how hawk's hair perfectly aligns with the wall's colors indicating the pure brutality cobra kai can bring to people like Eli. This was that evilness in cobra kai taking the form of hawk.
I feel like Tori has a "normal" and "berserk" state for lack of a better term, albeit not literally. She has terrible self control at this point in the show which causes her to get hyper violent in the heat of the action. She's always thuggish, personality-wise, but the extrene violence comes out when her berserker behavior does. But here she was just a bystander; not involved in the slightest. She's in her "normal" state. She doesn't realize it, but she's basically seeing what she's like in the heat of the moment.
@@heavydonkeykong5190I’d argue hawk was worse than anyone in the show, he pretty much almost killed brucks, tori my have scar’s sams arm but bruck had to get new teeth
Yo imagine if moon came to see hawk after they broke up and she knew he was in corba kai and then she walked in and she see hawk beating bruckus that's would actually be crazy
One lesson that does apply from Cobra Kai is this: If a bully confronts you, that bully is your enemy. A bully has to learn from lack of mercy. If they don’t, they become without value and eventually die with little to no mourn.
One of the most satisfying scenes. Also, is it just me or does Kyler have one of the most puchable faces ever?! Great casting for that role. Nailed the douchey bully look 100% lol

try being the smart kid who also played baseball and football. I started taking Karate after Karate Kid came out, ( original ) after my first fight with the running back ( only 3 months into karate ) I started getting respect. Just fighting back and not taking it meant more than winning to me. ( I also won the fight ) I don't enjoy fighting, my step dad hit me too often for little things, but I respect myself much more now as an adult because I stood up for myself as a teen. I am sorry you were bullied. It shouldn't happen to anyone child or adult.

Notice how the Asian kid is trained in Greco-Roman style fighting (western Europe) and he's fighting a white kid who's obviously trained in Karate (east Asia). That fight perfectly represents Yin and Yang and it's just beautiful. The writers really knew what they were doing.
If you have been a victim of bullying, you know how satisfying this scene is. I was bullied mercilessly when I was young for being overweight and a nerd. I switched schools in 8th grade and started reinventing myself by working out. By the time my Junior year started I was co-captain of the wrestling team, had lost all the weight and was very muscular. One of my old bullies transferred to my school Junior year, but didn't recognize me, even though we had a class together, until one day it hits him that I had the same name as that "fat kid" he once knew and asked me if I went to the former middle school. I said I did and he immediately started ribbing on me in the boy's locker room in front of football players for being a wrestler. So I challenged him to a match, which surprised him, but he couldn't back down. I picked him up and slammed him so hard that his nose bled and was fully embarrassed afterwards, especially since now the football players were ragging on him. He tried to be my friend after that and was always nice to me after that....but I wouldn't give him the time of day for making my life miserable before. Damn did it feel good though owning him and seeing this scene always reminds me of that moment in my life.
Kreese may not be the greatest of men, but the way he let Hawk go after his bully was fitting and very satisfying. He understood what was happening and just let him go. Sadly even this wasn't enough for Kyler to learn his lesson.
That scene was very telling how much rage Hawk had built up in him from being picked on and bullied. His tormentors had no clue what he had become and that was a warning beating aimed at Kyler. Hawk was a good kid, but he just got lost in the monster he became and the good kid he was finally came shining through. He was the standout character about redemption in this show.
@@AARON-ep7gs he's not sadistic. He was dishing out what's been pent up inside of him for all those years he's been bullied and made fun of. We don't see his face after Kreese says "finish him" so the idea of how badly beaten and bloody his face looks after the assault by Hawk is left entirely to our imagination. That's absolutely brilliant directing.
This is probably my favorite scene, the lead up, the music in the background, his face of pure anger, beating the brakes off that guy and staring down Kyler makes it so intense

This was by far my favorite Hawk moment in the entire series. And I LOVED the way he snatched Kyler's soul with that death stare.
His death stare gives me chills
yup
Truth! By far my favorite Hawk scene- staring his bully into submission.

Bully; Why don’t you pick on someone your own size
Hawk; Why don’t you?

The look on Kylers face is like he got his ass kicked too!!
i never saw this series, mostly i don´t be on the platforms these serie is runing or were runing but i thing hawk is one of the characters i would relate the most and i am curious about his ways in the show. with kreese (hope i write this right) in the game i have the feeling that hawk could potentionaly go on the wrong path, begining to be a bully himself. being bullied my self multiple times i know that feeling and how tempting it is to deliver this to others when there is one inch of power inside of your grasp. without knowing how his way in the show ill be from that point on i hope he will be a great character. a kind of character what know what it is like to suffer to bullies and used his expierience to prevent something like that for others and teach others.
@@cooper3814 u
The way Hawk asks for permission from Kreese to destroy the guy and the way Kreese nods like "he has it coming" is beautiful
Yeah, Assface could've taken Brucks cause they are the same heavier body type, then Hawk would've beaten the hell out of Kyler for sure.
Hawk deserved his vengeance. They bullied him too long and thought there would never be consequences. I just hope he can temper his rage and join Johnny in the REAL Cobra Kai

Love the fact kreese didn't say "fight" to start the match. Hawk just went straight to business.
Kreese couldn't get "Finish Him" out in time either.
Even better how he waved the flagger off.

Anyone noticed Kreese did not even finish saying ‘Finish him!’ and Hawk pummelled the bully into a pulp?

Hawk was my favorite out of the whole series I actually wish they did more with him throughout the series after this.

Well we could dismiss that because his friend used to be in that exact same sport before Kyler took it.
Lmao thats a bloopper
Remember, Kreese was bullied too…he heard what Hawk wanted in his voice, and Kreese happily obliged. That look on Kreese’s face was more than mere satisfaction… it was catharsis living vicariously through Hawk
Kreese couldn't even finish saying "finish him" before Eli started his ground and pound game on his face. I like this little tidbit here that further encapsulates Hawk's anguish. :D
Finish hi-
I like how Tubbo was in the middle of an insult, but it died in the wind the MOMENT he saw the Hawk tattoo.
I keep saying this to those that wanted Kyler to be getting the beating.
Even better is the fact that he goes on to absolutely ROFLSTOMP Kyler. This scene is about asserting dominance, not gaining revenge.
that staredown and kyler couldnt even look in the face after that pure EMOTIONAL
Hawk won the battle of the constant mind games that the bullies started.

Tori: *literally tries to kill sam and pushes hawk to break his best friends arm*
Also tori in this scene: 😱😱
I feel like Tori has a "normal" and "berserk" state for lack of a better term, albeit not literally. She has terrible self control at this point in the show which causes her to get hyper violent in the heat of the action. She's always thuggish, personality-wise, but the extrene violence comes out when her berserker behavior does.
But here she was just a bystander; not involved in the slightest. She's in her "normal" state. She doesn't realize it, but she's basically seeing what she's like in the heat of the moment.

Ngl, every asian guy I've seen and met that looks like Kyler is always some arrogant douchebag, especially here in the states lol
Irony is, I bet the actor who plays Kyler is a really nice guy. They seem to be the best at playing douchbags, because they're asked to be everything they hate in real life.
This scene really speaks to the scrawny, bullied teenager I used to be. My HS valued the jocks above any other students and would turn a blind eye to all the awful things the football players did to the quiet kids. It's the reason I dropped out the day I turned 18 and got my GED.
try being the smart kid who also played baseball and football. I started taking Karate after Karate Kid came out, ( original ) after my first fight with the running back ( only 3 months into karate ) I started getting respect. Just fighting back and not taking it meant more than winning to me. ( I also won the fight )
I don't enjoy fighting, my step dad hit me too often for little things, but I respect myself much more now as an adult because I stood up for myself as a teen. I am sorry you were bullied. It shouldn't happen to anyone child or adult.
I was bullied, too. Hence one reason why I started wrestling and boxing.

Nice story dude, i just wish i had started to learn to fight sooner, i would've had my revenge.
What martial arts were you thinking
Good for you
Kreese may not be the greatest of men, but the way he let Hawk go after his bully was fitting and very satisfying. He understood what was happening and just let him go. Sadly even this wasn't enough for Kyler to learn his lesson.
Yo the way kreese sets the tone is so gut wrenching. Chuckles and students kick ass and shamed in front of everyone.
