this is so inspiring on so many levels, like imo the best character anyone could ever have in media(ofc. vaders arc exists but it was more towards the end this guy went from bullied to badass to bully to hero to one of the bros)... its really inspiring to see how before the journey he thought he was a kid with a scar on his lip on the spectrum, then after a little bit of confidence it brought the badass he wanted to kept hidden inside him due to constant bullying and self doubt... that long but just expressing my views :), hope this comment made your day better
I love Hawk. He's my favorite character. I can also fully relate to him. It's almost as if the writers took part of my childhood and used it for Hawk, but I know they didn't. They don't know I exist. Hawk was born with a cleft lip. I was born with a birth defect on my mouth like Hawk, but worse. Hawk was bullied for his facial deformity, I was bullied for my facial deformity. Hawk took Martial Arts, I took Martial Arts (though not as much as Hawk, only till the orange belt aka the 2nd belt). Hawk became a bully, I became a bully. Hawk changed for the better, I changed for the better. On Cobra Kai, they used to call Hawk Lip, in school they used to call me face.

I actually have a clef and people gave me grief about it. Even after losing my dad. Sophomore year, I started karate and getting in better shape. Didn’t go looking for trouble and didn’t desire a fight. But I definitely had more confidence in myself because of it.
The cool thing about Hawk is that he reminds me of kids I knew in the past who went from timid and often rejected students to successful/popular young adults
