      Nice, did you see your score right away after passing? I was on another praxis video and someone said they didnt see their score until the 4th time taking praxis reading and they passed. I took mine today and saw an unofficial score of 154 but i was on the phone with praxis and they said it might be higher or lower regarding your final official score. Please help

    The writing and math were so easy to me. I passed them both last year. I passed my writing like 20 points above the required score. The reading is so hard for me and that was the one I was least worried about. Now I need to retake to get into my program. It’s not the reading comprehension. Like I can grasp what I read but I have to reread and go back for context clues like 3-4 times sometimes. It’s the time limit so I get nervous and start guessing 😭

      It's awesome that you aced writing and math! Reading might be a challenge, but you're not alone. Try timed practice and skimming techniques to boost your confidence and speed. Keep practicing-you've got this! 💪

      @@KathleenJasperEdDthank you! Watching your videos is eye opening and helpful. My test is soon I’m just going to go in with confidence. I will pass!
      Update: I took the test Monday May 6. Just winged it. Didn’t worry about the test for 2 days beforehand and took time to myself to recuperate. Did self care such as face masks and bath. Relaxed and cleaned my room. Slept for about 8 hours woke up and had a poached egg on toast and oranges. Told myself multiple times I will pass and I did!!! I scored 30 points higher than I did the first time around. Seriously think taking it combined is too difficult. It’s cheaper but it’s hard to sit there for 3-4 hours and then they sometimes put the most dreadful section last. Definitely think I did so well on the reading 2nd time around because I took it by itself and woke up and had a nice breakfast. Really important to be confident and fuel your system. Being starving and having your stomach growl while taking a test is the worst! Just wanted to share my experience for anyone scared of this test. Take 2-3 days to yourself and don’t even look at any material that pertains to it for 2-4 days before you take it. And always read the questions and answers first so you know what to look for in the passage. I’m not great at taking standardized and timed tests but I did it and I passed!!. You got this! 😉

      @@mometrixsecrets4516 Your company is the worst in exam prep and materials. I am sorry to say that but it is true. The flashcards are a total rip off. They are flimsy, not even laminated and not narrowed down to the information to expect on the exam. They are good to have in the future for everything ever written since the beginning of time about Literature or literary works. But nothing about them prepare you for what to expect on how the test itself is set up or what it's purpose is in terms of what they are wanting. It is not a reading test on all genre of reading material. It is the same with your practice Math book. It does not tutor you in math properly or how you derive to the correct answer. It only provides the answer. Just not at all helpful. I am sticking with NavaED. Kathleen is great and has helped me a lot

Just google "released ACTs." If you read one per day, and analyze your answers, you will get better. Even if you have to take it a couple of times, you can and will do this.

    I bought your Praxis Core Reading course, and I was just wondering, if I do pass your course, is that a guarantee that I will pass the actual test itself, this would be my 5th attempt at taking it and l am a former ESL student myself.

    • @KathleenJasperEdD
      @KathleenJasperEdD  4 місяці тому

      Thank you for purchasing our Praxis Core Reading course. While our course is designed to comprehensively prepare you for the test, passing the course itself does not guarantee a passing score on the actual test. However, our goal is to equip you with the necessary skills, strategies, and knowledge to increase your chances of success.
      To maximize your chances of success, I recommend engaging deeply with the course material, practicing regularly, and seeking additional support or clarification whenever needed. Good luck on your journey!

      Yes! And people think I’m dumb. I passed my math and writing. I took the math 2 times. I’m not good at math but I passed the second time around. I passed the writing first time around with 20 points above the state requirement. I was worried about reading the least. Then I took it and failed. I don’t like reading books or anything that does not interest me and noticed that I need to go back to look for answers and reread to remember what I read if I don’t enjoy reading something and that’s what gets me and makes me fail because I run out of time start getting nervous and start guessing :(

      The passing score for my state is 156.

    • @KathleenJasperEdD
      @KathleenJasperEdD  3 роки тому

      The short answer is to take your percentage correct and put a 1 in front of it. So if you got a 56%, you pass the exam. Now there are some questions on the exam that have multiple correct answers, and that changes the score slightly. But I would say in general, shoot for a 65% correct. That's a D! You can get a D and pass. Hopefully that helps.
