My parents read this aloud to us every year, and since then I’ve read it to our children and our grandchildren and their children. This version is my most favorite of all. Thank you for a great treasure.

Actually, they are "staves" rather than "chapters." In any case, Charles Dickens wasn't the original author. Or, so I have discovered based on over 15 years of intensive research. I've found that the original authors were an American couple named Mathew Franklin Whittier and Abby Poyen Whittier.

yes, we refer to the staves in the future episodes 😁. the reason was to stay with the theme of a "carol.
Hmmmm! we have not heard anything about an american couple writing a chriostmas carol! what year were they said to write it? why did it take place in london - were they living in london? There is quite a bit of evidence supporting Dickens having written it along with scratched out draft copies and his explantaions for his choices. we also covered the story of the original Scrooge that dickens based the charachter on - a very well known story at the time. that link is here if you are interested. ua-cam.com/video/44jBoZZCyGk/v-deo.html Dickens was known to liberally "borrow" charachters from the news as charachters in his books. Conan Doyle and wilkie collins did the same.😉😉
