Actually, they are "staves" rather than "chapters." In any case, Charles Dickens wasn't the original author. Or, so I have discovered based on over 15 years of intensive research. I've found that the original authors were an American couple named Mathew Franklin Whittier and Abby Poyen Whittier.

Hmmmm! we have not heard anything about an american couple writing a chriostmas carol! what year were they said to write it? why did it take place in london - were they living in london?
