    This is excellent, really appreciate your narration. One thing I noticed after removing my carburetors today is that the enrichment assembly is different on my 1997, primarily due to there not being a knob on the carburetors. Instead, Yamaha gave the ‘97 a handlebar mounted enrichment lever, meaning the cable leads to a mounting bracket different to what you show here. Otherwise, everything has been the same.

      I always wanted a set of the late-model carbs with the handlebar choke. They only used them for that one year. Well, for '98 too, but they didn't make many of those. Best of luck on the carburetors. Shoot me a note if you run into trouble.

    I was so confused when i took apart my bowls to find that tube that i dont know the name of is missing, its the one connected to the carb with 4 holes and is under the main jet and jet holder. The other 3 carbs bave it but its literally missing and im so confused cause now it dont start but it start when i bought it like that, idk if i can a new peice to put in or if its part of the carb and i need a new one or what

      That's the needle jet holder, right? Or one I call an emulsion tube in the video? The brass one the needle fits through and the main jet screws into the end of. The carb won't work without it. Maybe it was running on 3 cylinders before but you didn't notice. It's easy to do if it's once of the inner cylinders.
