I'm going to try this. I lived in Venezuela between '93 and 2002. I loved it , but had to leave because of "Chavismo".I'm Puerto Rican, born in New York City. When I was teaching at Universidad De Los Andes, I was known as "El profesor Grinborigocho". Chama! I might even try a fermented chicha.
@@ArepasforDinner I had Chicha at a local Venezuelan restaurant in the US, and it was better than any Horchata that I've ever had. It was a lot more creamy and maybe a little sweeter, almost like a milkshake. Both are good though.
I was born in Venezuela and raised in San Diego, California and Mexican Horchata is sold every where and I have had it in Mexico the two are different. Chicha is much thicker than horchata. Both are super delicious but Chicha is much thicker.

Allen Brown hey if it came out too thick you only need to add more water until it has the consistency. Use the blender for adding the water to make sure it mixes properly. If you have Instagram shoot me a photo there @atalibrandi so I can help you!
