You learned how to make your Colombian wife arepas! That’s special! Thank you for the great recipe! I’m half Colombian by blood but full in my heart 🇨🇴
I make Arepas with sweet corn, jalapeños, and shredded cheese all mixed into the batter. Yellow Cheddar for White flour and White Cheddar for yellow flour. I deep fry mine. I just learned this on my own, but my Ex wife is from Cali. Your Arepa maker is sweet!
Amazing machine, I made 4 plain to stuff with whatever. 4 filled with pepperjack cheese, and 4 with taco filling. Can't wait to try them. tks for the recipe. Nicky, I can't post a photo on here but did post it on facebook. tks Nicky
Arepas are the bomb! I followed your recipe somewhat but just used salt, garlic powder, minced jalapeño , and water for the dough. I stuffed them with sharp cheddar. Cheese and fried them . Then filled them with a avocado sauce and some retried beans. Then took one to my neighbor and sent her your video. I think you should make a salsa video. Happy!
Thanks I've been looking around for a English version a good friend of mine is from Venezuela and she asked me a year ago to make these I had never heard of them. I'll make them for her birthday thanks again.
I'm new to making arepas. This is not how my Venezuelan friend told me how but this looks DELICIOUS. I'm Honduran these remind me of pupusas. They are similar just a bit different.
was looking for was to use some leftover pulled pork when i found your channel and recipes. am so glad i found your channel. just watched this video. made them and stuffed some pulled pork and hot sauce! DELICIOUS. Can count me as a new subscriber..
I just received my 5 lb. bag of PAN! I'm so excited to try them out!! I have tried them before, but never made them myself! I know they will be awesome!
This is the American Anglo inspired way to make it. We / along with the french put milk, butter and sugar in everything. They just use plain water. I started making it the anglo way on my own as thats the way we do everything. I first started making it with plain water and salt and didnt like that much. I tried it with egg once, but didn't continue. I make it with salt, a tiny bit of sugar, and milk.
These arepas are Colombian arepas with Venezuelan cornmeal. Nothing wrong with that, just so that people that watch this video are not misled that these are Venezuelan.
Harina P.A.N is a traditional product of Venezuelan gastronomy, the Alimentos Polar factory patented this product since 1960, only with the diaspora it installed factories in the US, Italy, Argentina, Spain and distributes it in 60 countries around the world.
I just ordered the machine and I am milk intolerance and allergic to egg . But I did follow your recipe and I put goat cheese instead. And I loved it . I made 1 for me and the rest for the family .Thank you so much for these recipe. It has a different flavor of the Mexican Gordita .
Yeah a Foreman grill work also - when I make arepas, many times they are for quite a large group of people so the arepa maker speeds up the process because it cooks the top and the bottom at the same time, but I have used a simple stovetop pan for years 😁
I just found your channel but now I want the arepa baking machine. I have all machines from Italian cookies , cupcakes, etc I Just think it’s quicker and faster
I'm a control person I need to see them cook so i can control the doneness in case some are thinner I've never made these but i have made flour tortillas since i was 6 now 60 but the machine looks cute and i might need one. Now with arthritis starting. Good luck
It’s my interpretation of them - I am fascinated by them, as you can see from my other videos with arepa waffles and arepa sticks, I am not traditional, please subscribe 😁
It depends but I try and form the ball slightly larger than a golf ball, then form it about the size of trying to form as big as a circle as you can with your index finger and thumb open

Gordon Morehead Harina PAN WAS from Venezuela, but because of your country's enlightened politicians and hostile business climate, the company moved production OUT OF VENEZUELA and into Cundinamarca, Colombia and Texas.
Oiga MISTER, por favor ponga los ingredientes y las cantidades en la cabecera del video! (Hey Mister, please put the ingredients and quantities in the header of the video). Gracias!
If they are soft in the middle it is ok, but if you think it is a bit under cooked, it only needed a little more time. Try making the arepas without the egg as some practice to get the consistency down it helps. Thank you for watching!
please put the receipt than we know how much water and etc right know we only can see your cooking but not how much exactly the all composition ingredient

That is going to be tricky... but at least they can be made gluten free and vegan.. if you take out the egg, milk, and cheese. >.
