Nice Redline. My recently acquired 2009 Redline had only 7k miles when purchased. I was lucky this car became available. The Sky Redline Turbo platform is really really hard to find with such low mileage. I scored mine from a collector in Georgia who traded in several cars from his collection to get a Shelby GT 500. So when it popped up from the dealer, I had it inspected by an independent certified GM mechanic, then once he gave me the green light, I snatched it up immediately and had it shipped to the west coast. The Sky Redline Roadster is undervalued & overlooked. At 260 HP with a weight of only 2,800 lbs, it hugs the corners like it's on rails. I get compliments everywhere I go. The manufacturing run on the Sky's & Solstice roadsters were quite short from 2007 to 2010, with only a dozen made in 2010, so pretty limited numbers were made. I can only see the prices on the Turbo version to continue to go up. I didn't purchase it for an investment I drive this little bad boy whenever I can. It not only looks amazing, its loads of fun to drive on winding roads or along Pacific Coast Highway with the top down.
The Pontiac Solstice actually came out in 2006 a year before the Sky did in 2007. And I agree these cars are awesome. I bought my daughter a Sky for her 16th birthday and she loves it!
Beautiful work if art this car. It is like a transformer when the truck and hood open at the same time. Si cool. Mine is sunburst yellow. Love the sound when the turbo kicks in.
That silver highlight you refer to is an intentional design feature: A pillar and aero fairings behind the seats, harkens to old MG roadsters. Solstice was arguably the better style. The turbo version is a short-lived, more powerful engine. The stock 2.4 at 177 hp is the one with longevity. btw the door handles last about 100 k miles; crap parts. They had great paint jobs.
..I have an 2008 redline with 3400 miles..they're really nice cars and you don't see a lot of them...ps,..whoever owned that one took really good care of it.
Greatly depends on mileage and if its the baseline 170HP or the Turbo Redline 260 HP, and if it has automatic or manual option. From what I've heard the automatic gets up and goes just as quick as the manual. Very reliable engine & nice 18inch tires give the Sky great handling.
@@richardmyers7847 base with performance package and 9,600 miles was 16k Automatic Transmission, garage kept from original owner. black. I have monsoon subwoofer standard, wing on the back decklid and xm radio. all original.
I have a Ming Blue 2008 Turbo Red line convertible with 55K on it! I love it.... I just put it back on the street with new rotors, new brakes, new tires, oil change. all ready to have fun!

My Mom (80 years old) has a 2009 without the turbo. Under powered but handles great. Huge fun and turns heads like a countach.
