A few things about the myla route: broken vessel shade skip can be done without longnail/MoP, and a nail upgrade can be used instead of an extra mask, itll be quicker to get. Glowing womb can be used as well, but that takes longer to get as well. Also the recently discovered stallball tech can be used in place of the shade skip. Unless you're doing some REALLY difficult skips, you do have to kill dung defender to get ismas. The spike tunnel in the broken elevator shaft also does not require dash master or shade cloak. Dash master makes it easier but I dont know why shade cloak was mentioned. With dash master its dash > pogo > dash, without its dash > fireball > pogo > dash. Hope everyone saves myla at least once in their hollow knight journeys!
@@cosmopoiesecriandomundos7446 The intended way to get glowing womb requires crystal dash, but if you do the same "Spike tunnel" tech: dash>fireball>pogo>dash multiple times in a row, you can get through it with just fireball dash and claw. Looking up "spike tunnel hollow knight" has several videos showing it off.
As bitter as Cloth's death is, it truly is the best ending for her, as leaving her alive after Traitor Lord denies her the solace she seeks after the death of her former partner, endlessly waiting for a worthy fight.
"Just hit him a lot and don't get hit." I swear this isn't demeaning advice, it's actually the best way to run Traitor Lord. The fight is absolute agony if you try to space yourself away from him for any of his attacks besides the shockwave. However, if you shove yourself right up against him and spam your attack while walking into him, the fight suddenly becomes a trivial effort where one of three things happens: he crouches so you shade dash through him as he lunges forward, he jumps so you just casually walk under him, or he starts preparing the shockwave, which is the hardest to recognize and can be dealt with in a couple different ways, safest being to walk away from him until he releases it, then shade dodge through it to get back into position. The whole fight lasts less than 20 seconds if you can keep the heat on him. Also remember even just upgrading your nail once can shave a dozen hits or more off a boss, so if you've been putting off that trip to the smith, maybe plan a detour.
correction , you dont need shade cloak for the queens garden (1:25) you only need ismas tear. theres a part of fog canyon that has a pit of acid , swimming through it takes you to the queens gardens
I think I realized why we can save Sly but not Myla, because rescuing Sly opens up his shop, a shop with items the Knight needs, while saving Myla would do nothing.
Sly is also someone with a far stronger mind than Myla and she was already deeply infected when we meet her the 1st time, the infection just wasnt in complete controll, unlike Sly who was only getting started on this whole infection thing, hell its likely you didnt actually "save" him and rather just helped him push back the infection for at least sometime
@@anthraxmacabre5200 Possibly because the Infection feeds on dreams and desires, Sly desired to get back to Dirtmouth, as did Bretta. Myla wanted to strike a good cyristal vein and become rich, Traitor Lord wanted to be strong... Some wishes seem to pull the infected harder towards full loss of control.

some will save cloth, but allowing her to die is what she would truly want. the honour to fight along side such an energetic soul while also being able to witness and be there for their final moments is a true friendship. rest in peace cloth...
I kinda have an issue with "saving cloth" its clear that she wanted death, she wanted to die honorably and now she can go back to her partner who has long since died, but by "saving" her, you deny her what she wished for and she expresses sadness
Agreed, plus leaving Hallownest is not a happy ending. She'll lose her mind as soon as the King's influence leaves her, and she'll be just a regular bug without dreams.
You need wings to get ismas without cdash, and you need either cdash or ismas to beat the game, unless you do a difficult skip to get to monomon which requires wings anyways.
When she died on the first game, I cried and swore I'd revenge her, even if I needed to kill every single one of them. (Also promised to make a 3d printing of her)
@@xxslayer255xx We never see him dying in the game, but there is a high chance that after killing Monomon he dies because he sacrificed his mask, his eternal youth. Even after killing Monomon he says that he's starting to feel his age without the mask. At least his death (if he did) was not in vain.
Is talking about Radiance. That phrase talks especifically on how Radiance kills the Hollow Knight with his own nail. Meaning more literally, with his own mind.
I kinda wish we could save her in actuality rather than taking advantage of awkward game progression and skips to do so, but from a game design perspective it’s probably better this way since it adds more weight among other things to myla.
1. Cloth. Both choices are good. You can give her honorable death and consume her dreams, leaving her in peace or let her live and find another adventure 2. Myla. Take radiance to the void, plague will dissapear. But if i remember correctly, these crystals driving miners insane, so she's doomed anyway 3. Zoth. Whatever you do he will die eventually lmao. He is really lucky to not die from literally any creature down below, his maximum is these little gray/white bugs in pathways. Im really surprised he wasn't killed instantly in deepnest
@@TukGhost No, I went there and when I was about to destroy it. I went out of the room and went back in to see what happens. He disappeared and the grim troupe didn't go. He was murdered or something 😂
Cloth - Didn't know you could deny her final stand Myla - So avoid the problem? I think she doesn't aggro if you never talk to her anyway Zote - Leave him to his death? Nah, man. I'd rather save him and beat his dream self over and over. Plus, unironically, his theme is the best boss music in the whole game... and most games. Seriously, Truth, Beauty and Hatred is that good.
I did some testing in an attempt to have neither The Dreamers + THK nor Myla killed... And it's possible, but you have to compromise on getting her infected by defeating Soul Master, as you need to kill him for Pantheon unlocking and Desolate Dive/Descending Dark are required to go to Junkpit on the first place. So yeah, you got to commit boss genocide for the sake of Embrancing the Void, and in order to obtain Voidheart you'll also need to complete White Palace... Without Crystal Heart (as it fully infects Myla, which may as well be permanent). Passing the last buzzsaw squeeze is such a hard ordeal that I had no choice but to slow the game's internal clock (using Cheat Engine). Otherwise still doable, but good luck doing it. You also need to use the float glitch in order to pass the thorn hallway (more of a cerimonial "red carpet walk" if you have Crystal Heart) just before the throne, and do do that you need to access the Pale King's Workshop; That way you can use the Workshops's (rather non-Euclidian layout-oriented) left side exit to perform the Glitch (you need room transitions to do so). Oh, did I mention that you also have to skip Dung Defender post-fight room usage in order to get Isma's Tear (as it requires Crystal Heart to speed through the thorn squeeze)? And Isma's Tear itself is absolutely necessary as it is the only way to get the Love Key and thus fight and defeat The Collector. This skip requires Monarch's Wing and is easier before you collect Shadow Cloak. Thing is, the Shadow Cloak itself makes the Monarch Wings Crystal Dash skip easier (you can then get Sharp Shadow to extend your Dash distance), plus you need to fight Hornet Sentinel anyways and skipping Monarch Wing usage for reaching her it easy enough, so you may be tempted to get Shadow Cloak before Isma's Tear. Don't do it. I had to slow down the game time because skipping Isma's Tear Crystal Heart usage after collecting Shadow Cloak is excruciatingly hard.
1:24 you need the shade cloak to fight the boss but you can use isma's tear to enter the garden. 2:51 lol. The carnival shocked face. 4:22 you don't need to beat the soul master to get the crystal heart. So long as you buy a lantern. 4:35 actually I think you can do a legit low % run since the dreamers don't require the crystal heart. Just isma's tear. 4:54 it doesn't look like 6 masks are required. Since you don't need to bounce twice on shade. 5:14 do you? You can use a simple key to beat the dung defender then leave and enter from the east side of the waterways. 8:40 for those wondering: failing to save him from DeepNest doesn't kill him. 9:04 lol having every follower.
I swear Myla is the purest and most adorable little bug in the world. The scream that she makes when you kill her is SOUL CRUSHING. SHE WAS SO INNOCENT.
I didn't know Myla could be saved! If only there was a way to save the dreamers. I wanna give Hornet her mother back. I wanna have Monomon restore Quirrel's memories. Lurien, hm, might be someone Lemm could get along with.
That fight legit made me feel anger, THK took me 4 tries and 8 minutes, but Traitor Lord took me 10 attempts and 30 minutes, and I did that after beating THK 💀
what if you let mylo to be infected, just simply don't kill her, defeat the final boss and return to her. Wouldn't she be alright? You have destroyed the source of the madness she must become ok
That's not possible because you won't be able to return after you beat the game, it will just take you to where you last saved and the infection will stay, but technically after getting the true ending , which is defeating the radiance , all the bugs would be free from the infection but you won't be able to come back and confirm
The methods to save Myla has some interesting implications lore-wise; namely that Soul Master and the Crystal Heart are hindering the spread of Radiance. By being clever enough to utilize one's own death shade and exceptionally skilled with quick reflexes, The Knight can ensure these barriers remain in place, preventing not just Myla, but likely other bugs from being infected by Radiance. Meaning more lives saved overall in addition to Myla and her beautiful singing voice. Also, the fact that we can't really "save" Zote, just open others eyes to his bs or let the braggard die, is very funny and appropriate since you can't "save" people from their own stupidity, just point it out to others or let them suffer the consequences.
I don't think defeating Soul Master and obtaining the Crystal Heart somehow causes the radiance's influence to spread faster, rather is an implication that in the time the Knight was doing those things, her prison weakened, similar to how obtaining the monarch wings will cause the Forgotten Crossroads to become hyper-infected even if none of the dreamers have been killed.
Shame that Myla doesn't say or do anything else after saving her from her fate. Would've been a nice easter egg if she showed up in Dirtmouth at the end, like Cloth. Except Zote. He's a douche.
What if Mila never got infected in the first place? Instead she just got suspicious on the knight because he wanted to to steal all of her crystals after she finishes mining them, so myla put some contact lenses to look like the infected miners in order to scare off the knight, which sadly lead to her demise, this confirms that our little knight is in fact, not as kind hearted as team cherry wanted us to think it is.
@@mrsmithers69 the knight tricked us into thinking that everything that he is doing for hallownest is from the kindness of his heart, in reality he wants to destroy and consume radiance for his selfish reasons, this allowed him to become an unstoppable force that will destroy the hollow knight universe, and the only ones to blame it's US, because we helped him achieve this great power
@@eduardpaduraru3090 the knight in the entirety of the game is quite literally an emotionless husk; or at least outwardly is. We as the player outside of lore have next to no clue how the knight thinks nor what its true motivations even are. That's what makes its character so intresting, anyone is allowed to interpret the knight however they want. However, acting like your own version is inherently correct is just misleading. It's certainly a plausible theory but as I stated we have no clue what its motivations are so your version is only a theory/interpretation
I accidentally killed myla I hade the charm where you heal and then a poof of spores spawn and damage stuff and I forgot and myla was attacking me so I healed and she died it was sad
So to "save Myla" you have to do a complex (likely unintended) skip, avoiding an important key item, like your some kinda speedrunner? Something tells me that doesn't really count as saving her
Yes events like getting upgrades is how time progress in hollow knight Which is why cornifer won't disaper right after buying map He disappers after u got an certain upgrade or killed a boss Like u can spend every long time in crossroafs but cornifer won't disaper till you kill the boss or get vengefull spirit For myla by the time u get desolate dive she gets half infected and by the time u get crystal heart she's fully infected So by skipping these events you basically freez time for myla
that was not worth it Myla was doomed to get infected It's better to let cloth die with honour than let her live deppresed And for zote it doesn't matter

Thank you for your contribution!
Don't you basically need crystal dash to get the womb charm though?
@@cosmopoiesecriandomundos7446 The intended way to get glowing womb requires crystal dash, but if you do the same "Spike tunnel" tech: dash>fireball>pogo>dash multiple times in a row, you can get through it with just fireball dash and claw. Looking up "spike tunnel hollow knight" has several videos showing it off.
I have heard that the patch matters too in how long it can take a pro player to make that skip.
I hated the Traitor Lord enough, for how a broken enemy it was , and how hard to defeat. But i was not ready to have Cloth diying in the face off D,:
I literally quit and refused to go further because I thought could save her, new save file and found out I couldn't 😢😢😢
correction , you dont need shade cloak for the queens garden (1:25) you only need ismas tear. theres a part of fog canyon that has a pit of acid , swimming through it takes you to the queens gardens
That is correct, but you need the shade cloak to fight against the traitor lord.
@@TukGhost i'm sure he can be cheesed out with desolate dive and facetank builds.

@@VeryPeeved Isn't Desolate Dive earned from Soul Master? So Myla would fall
@@Freedmoon44 right but if we can save Sly and Bretta, why does Myla get screwed over?
@@anthraxmacabre5200 Possibly because the Infection feeds on dreams and desires, Sly desired to get back to Dirtmouth, as did Bretta. Myla wanted to strike a good cyristal vein and become rich, Traitor Lord wanted to be strong... Some wishes seem to pull the infected harder towards full loss of control.

Fun fact, Myla has special dreamnail dialogue after she is infected and trying to kill the knight
It's her trying to resist and accepting it's only a matter of time before she succumbs to the infection. It makes the whole thing even more sad.
Myla got infected in my playthrough of hk, but I refused to kill her

some will save cloth, but allowing her to die is what she would truly want. the honour to fight along side such an energetic soul while also being able to witness and be there for their final moments is a true friendship. rest in peace cloth...
I like how the last segment is telling us how to NOT save Zote.
Is it proven that that’s her partner? For All we know it could’ve been an older sibling she looked up to.

aww i was hoping there was a story way to save Myla ):
5:58 - "Bury the knight with her broken nail"
Me: "Oh the Knight is girl, thanks for the knowledge"
Is talking about Radiance. That phrase talks especifically on how Radiance kills the Hollow Knight with his own nail. Meaning more literally, with his own mind.
I kinda wish we could save her in actuality rather than taking advantage of awkward game progression and skips to do so, but from a game design perspective it’s probably better this way since it adds more weight among other things to myla.
1. Cloth. Both choices are good. You can give her honorable death and consume her dreams, leaving her in peace or let her live and find another adventure
2. Myla. Take radiance to the void, plague will dissapear. But if i remember correctly, these crystals driving miners insane, so she's doomed anyway
3. Zoth. Whatever you do he will die eventually lmao. He is really lucky to not die from literally any creature down below, his maximum is these little gray/white bugs in pathways. Im really surprised he wasn't killed instantly in deepnest
Easy way to save Myla: don't kill her EVER after she's infected, then get the dream no more ending or the pantheon ending, lore-wise she is now saved
When attempting to banish the Grim troup then abandoned it at last moment. That music guy disperses. I couldn't find him anywhere.

That feeling when Myla is ur oc's name... TwT"
Just noticed when cloth hit the final hit on traitor lord its head cracked a bit, just a little detail I noticed
Cloth - Didn't know you could deny her final stand
Myla - So avoid the problem? I think she doesn't aggro if you never talk to her anyway
Zote - Leave him to his death?
This just comes to show how much of "OUT OF THE WAY" we (players) go, for good characters XD
Nope. Looks like entering from the east of water ways has acid and thus you need crystal heart to enter isma from either direction.
I assume myla will be fine once you kill the radiance, I dont think the infection can exist without it
You are denied access to your save when you do kill him, as the game has ended, and there is nothing more for the knight to do other than retire.

Cloth was like: Should've gone for the head
what if you let mylo to be infected, just simply don't kill her, defeat the final boss and return to her. Wouldn't she be alright? You have destroyed the source of the madness she must become ok
That's not possible because you won't be able to return after you beat the game, it will just take you to where you last saved and the infection will stay, but technically after getting the true ending , which is defeating the radiance , all the bugs would be free from the infection but you won't be able to come back and confirm
the elder... has the flower?... does that mean you have to?- *sigh* reloads hollowknight.
I djdnt know you could bring cloth to the fight but thats cool even if she dies
the ending is full of sound, the laughter, zote voice....
Myla was my favourite man why did the game do this to me :(

What if Mila never got infected in the first place? Instead she just got suspicious on the knight because he wanted to to steal all of her crystals after she finishes mining them, so myla put some contact lenses to look like the infected miners in order to scare off the knight, which sadly lead to her demise, this confirms that our little knight is in fact, not as kind hearted as team cherry wanted us to think it is.
How does that make him not kind hearted?
@@mrsmithers69 the knight tricked us into thinking that everything that he is doing for hallownest is from the kindness of his heart, in reality he wants to destroy and consume radiance for his selfish reasons, this allowed him to become an unstoppable force that will destroy the hollow knight universe, and the only ones to blame it's US, because we helped him achieve this great power
@@eduardpaduraru3090 how do you know they consumed the radiance for evil?
Seems like quite a stretch to be honest, if you look at her dialogue it seems pretty clear that she's slowly succumbing to the infection overtime
