- The Cool-Notes never had an official video to promote their no.1 smash hit single You're Never Too Young, so they made this one themselves whilst doing a sound check one night in August 1984 at a night club where they were booked in, to do one of their many P.A.'s that the band became well known for doing. www.cool-notes.co.uk
Hidden gem. Finally found it after so many years. Heard the version sampled by Macross 82-99 about eight years ago and finally found it yesterday. I love it. God bless you guys.

London in the late 70s early 80s was smashing the music scene we had all the lover's music which the coolnotes were part of then we had loose ends one of the best soul bands in the world in my humble opinion but let's not forget a band that truly deserves a place in British history as a band that truly had soul the average white band..for a small island we have produced some of the best music worldwide. Nuff said respect too one and all.

Remember them very well..... They use to rehearse in the beehive Brixton back the day when I was yout.... If I remember Ian played the bass and he had a brother called Linford.
Yo on the real their demo stuff is the best shit I've ever heard from the Cool Notes. There was this song called My First Time that I found to SLAMMIN! way better than the songs that made it on to their album. I was actually angry that the majority of the songs off the Unreleased Demos didn't make it to the big time. It legitimately pissed me off that someone in the record industry could just brush off all those songs.
