Great idea! It is fun to be able to use other tools to accomplish a task. Something about making brass from other cartridges is very rewarding,........with a little pain in the ass to keep us humble. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome tip! I just tried this. Works great. Will be using this for small batches. Easy cleanup also as you mentioned. Glad someone is thinking outside the box 👍
I saw you talk about this on the reloaders network, I tried it but I put the same pipe cutter in my vice face up and clamped it down, I locked in the case then sat it in the cutter and held drill with one hand and had the other hand free to just keep tightening the tubing cutter. It works really well, appreciate the tip.
@@jamespollard1670 I used to make my own brass, but now I buy converted lake City brass for real cheap. For a while I was buying it for $100 per 1000 pieces 😁
I tried doing it by hand and it grabbed my deprimer pin out and got stuck in the shell when i put it's in a full-length die... Gonna try it with a drill
Yes, definitely like this method👍 Now, after you run that thru the resizing die, do you need to trim for case lenth?, If so how fo you go about that? Great vid James, I always appreciate your stuff

There are many ways to get the same result sometimes .
Great idea! We always called that creative engineering!
Thank you , If it works for me , I like to share it .
Slick as pie! Would’ve never thought of using the drill! Nice not to have a burr when you’re done 👍
Looks like a really good technique👍👍
Thanks , it works for me .
I have used the tube cutter to convert different cases ,it work good .👍👍🇺🇸🤓
I thought you may have already tried it
love watching different ways of doing the same thing. Always cool to see what people come up with. Good one James!
Thanks , I thought it worked well enough to do over 2,000 cases

@@jamespollard1670 ha ha, awesome! Free brass is cheaper than what I paid.
that is really quick and it looks to be very accurate as well.
Thanks , I thought it did the job fine and after I resize it them , I'll trim them anyway .

Great vid James, I always appreciate your stuff
After I resize them I case trim on my drill powered Lyman case trimmer and then chamfer and deburr with a Hornady case prep duo .
Do you anneal the brass after cutting them, before sizing? Just a thought...🤔
They size and form like butter if you anneal them first .
@@jamespollard1670 that's why I asked. I don't think UJ has annealed his. I anneal my .223 brass when I convert to .222.
@@Jerry-dk8se That does make a difference .
