Awesome review. I am super interested in this bike but I am looking at towing a trailer/buggy. Do you know if you can attach a hitch coupler to the rear axle?

A couple friends of mine just bought a couple of these and really liked them so far. They were asking me about the throttle and I really couldn’t tell them anything other than watching videos.

What speed are you going?
Mike, I just watched both your videos on the Velotric Discovery 1. I really like the look of this bike and am impressed with the range tests people are doing. My question is this, do you think the tires on this bike would do ok on gravel/dirt paths? I will be mostly riding on paths but some rail to trails are gravel or a little dirt. No mountain biking or anything like that. What is your opinion please?
Hey! Thanks for the comment. Yea this thing has some of the best range I’ve seen. The tires are good for gravel and packed dirt. I would say loose chunks of dirt or gravel would be a bit challenging unless you have a mtb style tire. I think this bike hits all aspects of the commute and is pretty affordable. Hello, just received my discover1 . Managed to get it assembled,however when I lift up on the handle bar the tire is very wobble. Tried to tighten everything up and does not help. Also there is no no play in the suspension. Any thoughts?

Do you have instagram or fb messenger? Send me a video over messenger and I can help with dissecting it. Could be that the quick release is not tight enough or maybe loosen the top stem bolt and the two on the sides, then move the bar around slightly and see if it was the headset not seated right when you put it together. When tightening it back up make sure you do the top bolt first and just a little more than 3/4 of a turn past tight, and same for the side bolts after. If that isn’t it, then definitely message me a video and I’ll look at it. My Instagram is MikeFede

Did the rear rack come standard?
I think they sometimes run a special with it. My high step didn’t come with it.
Is 64lbs considered a little too heavy for a bike?
Not really the average weight for a ebike is 46-70 pounds
is it safe to ride in the rain
This bike along with others reputable brands are ok in the rain. I wouldn’t recommend riding any bike in any downpour or fully submerging them. It’s a real pain in the but to have to clean and take apart to clean out the water to prevent rusting. The electronics are pretty sealed up and the battery as well.
Got mine 3 weeks ago but unable to really test it out because the people at Velotric will not respond to a couple questions and five minutes of their time. Have tried contacting them thru calls and email but after 7 days still no response from them. Bike seems great but customer service after you give them your money not so much.
