I still have my 350Z from 2004 which I bought brand new. It's also a Daytona Blue on Top Secret Gold GT-Cs. I was single turbo on a stock block for about 13 years (Turbonetics) but after moving to Texas I did a full motor build and went AAM twin turbo. 720 HP or 93 octane. DEs are tanks even when they aren't built.
Thank you for notifying me of the existance of oilless turbochargers! Positioning the turbo for adequate oil scavenging has been a major concern to me for ages!
Subscribed! Really impressive build and approach on your car. I may take that next step to turbo or supercharge my 2005 G35. I've done some initial mods that you did: coolant line replacement, big brakes, stainless brake lines, plenum, and it runs really well for a high-mile 175k car (I'm the second owner and it was straight-up stock before I got it). My Infiniti is white which I like, and the blue Zs are so nice. I also like your idea of putting bigger tires on the back. I have 245s on both front and back, so maybe a wider rear is possible with my next set of wheels. The thought of bumping up the HP to 450+ has me thinking...
Sup Bro, the poppers are the problem for the hatch to not open correctly. You can take them out and add some pennies or washers. Overtime the spring collapses and it does not fully bring up the hatch as it should. Or you can buy new Z1 poppers for $50
The poppers work fine. I have the open top brand. The problem is that the hatch strut seems stiff (like it’s not properly lubricated). I may need to add oil to the shaft.
I thought the DE was preferred for actually upgrading.. HR is just better if you are stock because it's essentially been slightly upgraded from the base engine, but those parts don't really matter as much when you change out most of them anyway when building your car.
Hey I just got my 350z bout 6 months ago and I was wondering about it how much your turbos setup costed because I see so many people dog on the DE setup and it definitely puts me down on that idea but seeing someone do it I just wonder how much it cost you?
Everything in the build is perfect besides the wheels, not hating on the brand those wheels are just so heavy. I’m telling you bro change them out for a set of light weight wheels like enkei or gram lights and you’ll notice the difference
I have 90k miles the engine is very clean i keep up with oil its vq35de but their is always a but its n auto do u think its possible to run a turbo kit make 400whp with a 10k budget +installation
@@fred_b_360 no problem, my man! That better oil pressure sensor and gauge will let you know that things are going wrong much faster than the stock one. In addition, I would also recommend getting an oil catch can. The blow by increases with boost and you’re pushing the limits of the DE engine’s stock internals so any supporting mods you can do will ensure longevity. Rods are going to be another thing you should consider since you’re making more than 450 wheel. They lose reliability when you’re hard on them past 420 wheel. Other than that, you don’t have to do too much to have a boosted DE last long.
As far as I know (in context) his low mile engine cost 2400 I took my Z directly to a JDM engine sales warehouse in Houston TX - low mileage engine & transmission 1300 cash Awesome hispanic mechanic team one block away swapped engine and transmission for me for 800 cash Thrilled with the results and my car is respectively and maturely show quality…
Fuck yeah DE gets overlooked ❤

Thank you for watching!
@@fred_b_360 use your boosted 350z de as some motivation for my stock block
Man that blue just pops
Impressive build and practical philosophy.
Great build. Real grown.
That thing is off the hook!! Love it, nice job great build!!

No problem! IMO this is the best setup for the Z. Especially if burning oil is a concern.
This is very well done man. Great job
Thank you!
the door cards are sickkkkk

Thank you! So far this car had been very good. Fingers crossed.
Nicely done my brother.
appreciate it 💪🏾
Anyone else notice the gun?
Love it. ❤️👍
Its not a gun - its a 45acp blurrrrrr
I think it holds 15 blurrrrs - could be a 9 (they blur similarly)
That’s the kind of Z they will catch foo slipping and gap the hell out of em
This lil mf is a unit 😅
Very nice build you got an new Subscriber
Thank you! A lot more upgrades coming soon.
awesome z. I would love to do one up the same way
I thought I was the only one that puts my strap in that same exact spot passenger side 😂💥

I’m not sure how true it is, but supposedly the HR has stronger internals as well. Although, a set of rods and pistons is not crazy expensive.
Great content
thank you.

definitely possible. just make sure you run a big oil cooler and get your gallery gaskets and seals replaced for longevity.

F brock i got z too man that’s sweet
Where did you get that big break kit from? im currently on the non brembo stock breaks but want to upgrade.

you definitely need to get a proper oil pressure gauge and boost gauge. the stock gauges are not accurate enough for your setup.
Oh wow! I appreciate the input. I have a Turbosmart Eboost2 controller (hidden in the cubby), but i never considered the oil pressure gauge 🤦🏾♂️

5:52 Don't worry, bro. Every man suffers this at least once in their life. :D
$2400 for a Z? That’s very rare… everyone trying to over inflate the prices on them now… be asking $6500-$10k
Na that’s how much they worth. Go get yourself a Prius.

I actually paid 4k. Then because of the title issue got 1600 knocked off. That’s a whole different story🤦🏾♂️
How do I get the turbo kit for the DE?
Check out Rzg Motorsports, Admintuning, Soho Motorsports etc…
Built motor?
