Parrying fall damage to heal is insane
and you don't even *take* damage. you just parry gravity for the funny
I too found it via the meme where a robot parried a nuke.
Devs be like: fuck it add the power to parry gravity
It reminds me a lot of rainworld, a small character climbing a giant mechanical structure falling apart, without any apparent goal at first but to survive every encounter, then slowly you learn the lore of the world, and what brought its demise.
Also the fact it's heavily skill based and everything might kill you.
Isn't that one more of an immersive sim

Saturation was the word you were looking for regarding the art style I think.
The way the character moves and attacks reminds me of Fury a lot. Looks fun!
I've been asking for a crossover between Dark Souls and Armored Core for ages and this looks to be close to that, with an extra dash of Nier for flavor. This looks pretty awesome.

parts of it reminds me of the world of a manga called "blame".
Grand scales of time/spaces/things, world turned into giant factory floors, machines that keep going after lost point, robots and humanoids walking around, missing humans, overpowered MC.

Its a promising game.
I still recal when SIN fight was not a parry simulator but a game of catch, but he fit as the gatekeep boss now since you have to know when to hit after parry, preferbably the small delay after the 4 hit combo, hitting him will interupt his next attack and force him to move to your back to strike.
Also youre so close to meet the weeping monk miniboss lol.
This feels like a weird Warframe Kenshi crossover.
You should be more agressive, this game is not about slow combat waiting for an opening like dark souls, you are quicker than your enemies and can cancel their attacks
Risk of Rain players might feel a sense that they have been there
Also, pods from the intro sequence looked like the switches from portal 2

This game has potential,you almost got to a mini boss at one point but turned back without noticing. The game is basically parry to fight,there are some attacks that you can't parry. A good way to know if you can parry an attack is the color of the attack,by the way sin is the end demo boss;it used to be way faster and harder but now it's more predictable(just parry the slashes and then hit once or twice).A tip for this fight would be don't jump,when you're in the air you can't parry.
by the way i didn't knew you could parry your fall,even after playing it for weeks 2 times already some things are very well hidden.

This game has everything if not more to an action based fighting rpg game, its combat and movement is fluid and easy to use, and im glazing like crazy but this is just a rare gem, (btw its just a demo too) its just straightup a masterpiece if not better.
Armored core 4 for answer had G.A. arms fort the wall, and in armored core 6 the wall climber mission.
Heavy Risk of Rain 1 and especially 2 vibes.
I think they door you went up to but didn’t open would have if you had the memento but there is a side entrance

15:20 it's strange, I feel like I know a few games that play like this one, and yet I can't name anything that actually plays similar to this game. It's surprisingly very unique.

By the end his quest was to shutdown the barriers which he did then he could have upgraded his weapon in the blacksmith before fighting Sin tho
I beat the demo and it is a blast to play. I must say though there are a few things the game can benefit from like clearer textures and level design. For the beginning of the demo I was just stuck for 10minutes in the box trying to figure out where to go. Some enemies are pretty bare bones to fight like the birds and could benefit from more movesets and so on. Everything else is fun and near perfect.
