    Thanks for the vid! I just ordered one of these for my Persuader 20 gauge, and this should be a great (I don't get along with paper instructions very well, I need to see it!) Looking forward to it!

    I went with the fab defense one as they had at my gun shop
    Love it’s collapsible and basically turns it into a shockwave for late night intruders

    Nice video, I just picked up one of these and I'm awaiting delivery, now I know exactly how to mount it on my Mossberg 590SP Marinecote 12GA. Like you I did not want to go with a air or coil stock but still wanted some shock absorption, this seemed to fit the bill.

    great looking gun. I am the same way about the term bolts used in most of the add-ons most call them allen bolts. when they are actually socket head cap screws lol guess it don't matter what we call it as long as we don't have too many extra parts when we are done!

    I get the hole "it's a key...not a wrench"...but we call facial tissue Kleenex, reciprocating saws Saw-Zaws...etc. even though those are brand names. I just don't see the issue. Just my opinion. BTW...I just bought this stock and am waiting to get it in to install it on my shotty...can't wait. Gread instructional video...thanks for posting.

    Sweet Vid. This demo and most likely your chan. will be a goto spot for me in the future. And a side note, is also the reason I just purchased the ATI talon.

    I’m at odds with installing an adjustable stock such as this (I’m looking at a folding model from a different manufacturer) or just a raptor grip. I have the 18.5” 590a1. I’m also looking into the 590 cerakoted jic. Might just get that as it comes with the grip and stock out the 18.5” for FURTHER AWAY cqb lol. Love the damage a shotgun produces.

    Thanks for the video because the directions didn't help and I can usually read directions well. I put the ati talon on my mossberg 500 persuader(2012). The action slide assembly was 7 5/8" so I didn't have to buy another one for my Mako tri-rail. It looks great.

  • @mattv2099

    2 of my mossbergs have this stock. It's alright. I did it for the bubba tactical factor. My other 2 have the monte carlo stocks. My 590 will have the monte carlo. Only upgrades will be side saddle and tactical 2 point sling.

    Your videos, your weapon, inspired the birth of my Mossberg 500, Tactical. I have the hand rest, the thumb rest, and the ATI, Scorpion, Talon, Tactical, 6 position stock, the 6 shell saddle, and the plastic heat shield that you have. I also installed the spacer with the sling as well. I did all of this back in 2013, on my 7+1 Home Defense Shotgun, that I purchased at Big 5.
    Incredible that I found this video almost 8 years later. I am looking for a good laser to sit on top of my weapon. Great video, I'm sure I commented back then using a different account.
    If you have any recommendations for the laser sight, please let me know. Thanks again!!

    I only ever use loctite when the materials (the screw and what its being screwed into) are the same, and even then I don't always use it. Anytime the materials are different (aka steal into aluminum, steal into plastic, etc..) I always grease, and no they will loosen if properly torqued. There will be no storage of people who will disagree with me here... and I'm fine with that. But you did give me an idea for a video to explain all this.

    So i installed this on my moss berg 590 (love it) but didn't have the slick honey stuff to lube up the hex screw that connects the stock to the spacer and the receiver...now the screw won't come out and it seems I'm stripping the screw and the hex key when i try to get it out. Any suggestions? Thanks

  • @theophilus_xiii

    Thanks for the review. Couple questions here. You mentioned in your price overview video that you later changed the stock angle to suit you better. Did that come in this kit? Second, say I didn't like the stock that it came with, does it come off the tube? I'm just making sure there's not some wierd locking function that forbids this.

  • @Thetazord
    @Thetazord 10 років тому

    I just replaced my original grip with the ati talon grip, and now I can't figure out how to reconnect the ati butt stock that my mossberg came with. The problem I'm having is that my original grip had holes in the sides of the grip where the stock is inserted, and the ati grip has no holes to reconnect the same way. I saw how yours was connected, but mine didn't come with a bolt that long and I don't think there is anything for it to connect to anyway inside the tube on the butt stock. Please help me if you can. Thank you.

    Is there a steel bushing on the back of the receiver were the screw threads into? Im concerned about over tightening it and stripping the soft aluminum if it threads into the receiver itself.

  • @Bulwark1911
    @Bulwark1911 12 років тому

    Why would you lube metal screws going into plastic, when you are dealing with that kind of recoil ? Wouldn't Blue Loctite on the threads be a better choice ? Loctite is going to protect the threads, help you screw them in - and keep them from coming loose.

    I just love old "New To me" Video's.
    I just purchased a Mossberg 500 Tri-Rail Special Purpose 12GA with a 20 Barrel 8 Rd Synthetic.
    I also ordered the same stock as you just mounted along with a Mossberg heat shield.
    I am so excited to get this project under way. I think it will be around July 10th 2013.
    The question I have is about the front sight. You still have the bead. I'm getting old and my eyes don't pick up on that bead so easily. Any suggestions what type of sight(s) I could mount?
