    Which of these reasons would persuade you to live in Palawan? Please share your thoughts below.

      The clean environment and safety. I was so surprised and amazed when I first went to Puerto Princesa. I was so surprised we left our rented motorcycle outside the jollibee while we were eating and nobody touched it. ( I mean you cant bring the motorcycle inside jollibee. lol but you now what I meant? hahahaha )The helmets were on the motorbike as well. I couldn't imagine a place specially in a touristee area where you can confidently do that. I had been looking so often thru the glass walls kung andun pa yung helmets etc.(very sure you wont be able to do that in Manila) Very very very impressed. Also, we went to the mall and I only saw ONE beggar begging. I mean I am not being mean or anything but I just think the city has disciplined the residents well enough. I would live there in a heartbeat if I can just afford to buy a land or property, which I think is way too high nowadays. Specially knowing that you are Tourist Spot. But who knows, nothing is impossible with God. If he wills it, it will happen. Loved your vlogs. Congratulations to very informative and helpful useful contents. Great Job! God bless you both.

Praise God!
      And yes, who knows, if God wills it, He'll give you land here. Thank you for your positive feedback ha. It really helps us a lot 😊😊😊

      I agree with all the Pro’s you presented and would love to stay there the soonest possible. For the cons, I think its more because it is not an area that’s so commercialized and that makes it more beautiful..and Yes, the pros outweigh the cons :) very informative! Thumbs up!

    This is by far the best review of any Philippine region I have seen. You don’t talk about insignificant things like whether houses have bathtubs or not, and you discuss many important things that no one else addresses. Thank you very much for your thoughtful description and ideas.

    Thank you Janice :) We are living now 5 years in Palawan, same place like you in PPC/Santa Monica. Your Pro's & Con's are 100% right, it is exactly what you can expect here. And it is a peaceful lovely place to be, feels like paradise still every day. You forgot to mention the bad roads, even the government tries hard to seal, enlarge and repair them, there is still a lot of work. A SUV is recommendend.

    I bought land there more than 10 yrs ago. I really enjoyed life there. People are so nice. My husband lost his wallet 2 times and it eas returned 2 times. Unfortunately he passed in 2015 and i had to go back to manila to be near my relatives. U r right. Brownouts, lack of water and insects are bad. We had scorpions and snakes in the garden. Other than that i would have stayed there forever. Lots of expats .Miss palawan so ,much!

    Good morning… my wife and I are moving there to Palawan this year when things open up. I am now making our plans to get there. We have property in the city that we will build on, but for now we bought a townhome at Nottingham Villas in San Pedro brgy. Very excited about the move. My sister went to Palawan last February when pandemic restrictions is still active. I sent her there to find me a lot. Unfortunately we were not able to find one. Most of the lots dont have a title and there was a titling ban. She stayed there for 5 days and came home empty handed. Palawan is so big that you may need at least 2 weeks to find a property. Im coming home this July and will personally go there myself

    The ACE hospital near Tiniguiban is open - we go there for diagnostics and my dentist has an office there with new equipment. We live in PPC proper so have sat tv, fibre internet so it's not slow 115 mbps / 40mbps. Lola next door has PLDT fibre and we have Globe fibre and I find Globe goes down more frequently than PLDT. We still have the random power outages but sometimes it is scheduled maintenance. We are looking for farmland reasonable close so I appreciate your videos. Salamat Po

      @@omod2793 We live in town “city proper”. If you live in town you should be able to choose PLDT or Globe fiber. If you will live 30 plus kilometers away then your choice is limited or may be subpar dish based “non-fiber”. Starlink was available but it is pricey.

    I think it is cheaper to buy land directly from the owner, it will be cheaper that way than reaching a real estate broker. We had one client from Canada and she is still in Canada we helped her buy her land direct from the owner. After 5 months she got her land title.

    • @PausePraySimplify
      @PausePraySimplify  2 роки тому

      Hi NMADES! Yes this is true. If you know the owner and you have contacts, go ahead and buy from him or her. If not, then chances are you'll need help from a broker. Whichever is more convenient for you.

    Doesn't Palawan grow certain varieties of Durian? Do they grow bananas and mangos? Those seem to be all over the Philippines and that is all I would need. I assume also that people raise chickens? Also as for power, can generators be purchased?
    I have seen some houses for sale for $50k USD, is that real?
    Can water be collected in 500 gallon drums for emergencies? I am thinking about water collection during the rainy season. I want to visit for sure.

    • @PausePraySimplify
      @PausePraySimplify  6 місяців тому

      Oh wow! That's such good feedback. We currently have 3 clients who are from different places and have chosen to relocate here. We're building their retirement homes as we speak. Life here is pretty laid back here -- traffic is not as bad as in the bigger cities. There's no non-stop rushing to get to one place and the next. Life is simple here. For others, that's bliss, for others, it could get boring.
      But if you're not used to that kind of lifestyle, then I always tell people to try living here for a few months first and get to know the area and the people, before deciding to move here. That way, if you don't like it, you can just pack your bags and look for a more suitable option for you. But that's just me. It's your life, your decision. 😊 I appreciate you watching! Thank you!

But overall I am still blessed dahil dito kami nakatira sa Palawan. Hi Kabayan! 😊 thank you thank you very much! I'm glad the video was useful. 😊 Relocating to a new city is not easy but you'll eventually be able to adjust. Palawan is a beautiful place.
      But currently, some of the major issues that I wasn't able to include (for some reason and also because they happened just recently) are:
      1. Drive from politicians to divide Palawan into 3 provinces: Puerto Princesa as an HUC, Palawan del Norte and Palawan del Sur. A plebiscite will be held next year for this. Most Palaweños are opposed to this. We want 1Palawan. So that's one.
      2. There's been a recent spate of killings, mainly gun-for-hire incidents in the southern part of Palawan. They are either politically motivated or land dispute related.
      Palawan is generally safe. But there are those incidents as well.
      3. Good jobs opportunities are not a lot. Pay is genally low (compared to our salaries as OFWs of course). But if you plan to put up your own business, well and good. The economy is opening up now and the city government is supporting SMEs to open by God's grace because we have 0 covid cases as of now. If we will have some, they are all from outside and the amazing Incident Management Team of Puerto Princesa is able to contain it by God's grace. They have done so a number of times.
      I truly hope that you would enjoy Palawan. God bless you as you move here! I 😊

    • @PausePraySimplify
      @PausePraySimplify  Рік тому

      Hi Mohamed, salam. It depends on what you're looking for. Pls shoot me an email and let me know what you're looking for so I can give you options. Poncedeleonjc@gmail.com
      For retirement, I don't suggest that you live far from the city center. Areas like Tagburos, San Jose, San Pedro in the north are okay. And in the South, you have Irawan.
      If you're looking to stay within the city and buy a home, there's the Miren Enclaves, which is near Robinsons Mall and Adventist Hospital. They have their own developer and contractor.
      Other options are Robinsons Homes (but this is just a lot, and you'll have to get a contractor to build your home). Across it, there's the Catalina Lake Residences - preselling.
      So do let me know via email what you need so I can be of help. Thanks!

    My fiancé and I want to settle in Palawan when we get married. We just waiting for restrictions to end. Neither of us are vaccinated, so we're holding out for the end of those ungodly restrictions. She has heard that there are terrorists in the southern parts of the island. Do you know if there is any truth to that rumor?

      UPDATE:
      1) Ace Hospital is now open so we have more hospital beds and more options for our healthcare. During shooting of that video, under construction palang kasi.
      2) Blackouts are persistent pa rin.
      3) Telecomms - same pa rin.
      For the rest, same lang. Wala naman major changes na naganap over the past 3 years.
      If you have specific questions, let me know so I can answer them. Thanks for watching!

    Generator or Solar and Water tank is a must pala if u want to move in Palawan

    • @PausePraySimplify
      @PausePraySimplify  3 роки тому

      Solar is good. May mga gumagamit ng rechargeable lights bilang ilaw nila para 'pag nagblackout, di sila mawawalan ng ilaw.
      As for the water, hindi naman lahat ng lugar affected and hindi all-year round. Yung matataas na parts lang ang rotation ang tubig. Pero ay nakuha na na new water source, So okay lang naman. But yes if you want to have uninterrupted water supply if you're in those areas, then having a water tank wil help.

    Hello..Planning to move to Palawan, and this video is from a year ago.. problema parin po ba Yung black outs? Slow Internet and black outs are my main concern.. the rough roads are okay , karaoke ,i can sleep through it.. but blackouts you cant do anything at all..

    • @PausePraySimplify
      @PausePraySimplify  2 роки тому

      Hi Lee! Nabawasan na ang palagiang blackout citywide. Pero siyempre nagbablackout pa rin. Depende sa lugar kung nasaan ka siguro. Sa amin kasi sa Tagburos, this month alone (April) naka 8 blackouts na ata (I stopped counting na). 3 instances dito ay patay-sindi every 5mins (1x habang naglalaba pa ako. Kawawa ang AWM). Sa bayan area, if I'm not mistaken, hindi masyado grabe ang power interruprion kasi makikita ko naman yun ipopost ng nga kaibigan ko na nakatira doon.
      As for internet, may PLDT Fiber na rin. Piliin mo lang yung lugar na meron nun. May dead spots o madalas mahina ang Globe sa National Highway sa may San Jose, San Manuel, diretso ng San Pedro, Junction 1, diretso ng Fernandez St. Yan lang ay based sa experience ko at laging ginagalawan. So may areas na malakas, may areas din na mabagal. So just weigh your options so you'd know where best to live should you decide to push through with your plans to relocate here.
      Hope this helps.

    I fell in love with a morina, and I think she is the most beautiful and best Filipina, I purchased 2.2 hectares and we will build a no till organic farm, hi density and self rejuvenating, my asawa wants to set up a food bank in our brangay. I love the no volcano, I appreciate is no typhoon I am currently in Florida and I have lived thru 4 at ground Zero.
    My asawa her kids now my kids and her mom and maybe sister will all come with us so we will give to our community, and our children will be very happy here.
    It is safer than other locations, it will give us the opportunity to build for our family so in the future we need not worry about foods and income

      As for the farm, I think it's a good idea. I have heard of similar plans. As for the typhoon, we do get typhoons every now and then. But it's just maybe 3 or 4 times a year unlike in other parts of the country.
      Hope all would go well with your future plans. Tc!

      Hi Victor! Thanks for watching! Unfortunately, I only know about Palawan 'cause I'm from here. 😅 The only other place I've lived in is Metro Manila so I wouldn't know any other place to recommend.
      As for internet connection, the most "stable" is PLDT because of their fiber connection for homes. But truth be told, even PLDT gives us daily headaches 😅. They almost always have issues with their connection. So for this month of October, I checked their service interruption so you'll have a idea:
      They sent this SMS Sept 30:
      SERVICE ADVISORY
      Restoration of the technical issue that may affect your service is still ongoing. Estimated restoration is extended by 8 hours. Thank you for your patience.
      It continued until Oct 1st.
      SERVICE ADVISORY
      We are sorry that it is taking us longer time to fix the issue. Our repair teams are continuously working to restore services as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
      Based on their SMS advisories, service interruptions happened again on Oct 6, 8, 10, 14. They had scheduled service maintenance on Oct 8, 11, 13.
      Issues are sometimes due to a fiber cut, power interruption, glitches etc.
      But if you're always mobile, you can use wifi dongles. Just look for places that have strong connection. Also, do get a backup power supply in case you need to be working/online all day.
      Hope this helps! 😊

I have incoming college and grade1 po.. Ano po ang malapit sa schools.. Ok din po ba ang commute hindi po ba mahirapan going to schools?

    • @PausePraySimplify
      @PausePraySimplify  Рік тому

      Hi Renesa. Good morning. Apologies for the late reply. Bale ang pinakagitna for you sa pag-commute ay San Pedro area kung ang mga anak mo ay mag-aaral sa PSU-Elementary sa bayan at PSU College naman sa Tiniguiban.
      May Filinvest and West Palms along Wescom Road (same road ng apartment namin pero sa looban pa sila), and may Nottingham Villas sa San Pedro. Medyo internal roads lang sila so kailangan pa magtricyle palabas ng highway to commute. May mga Multicabs dito for that, counterpart ng jeep sa Manila.
      If mag-aaral naman sa HTU ang college mo and PSU-Elem yung gradeschool, both are in bayan so you can try Camella subdivision sa Bancao-Bancao.
      Medyo malaking adjustment pala ang gagawin niyo with the life here in case you guys accept the offer. But for sure ano man ang maging decision niyo, it will always be for the best of your family. It will work out, for sure.
      Hope this helps! Message ka lang sa FB page if you have specific questions and I'll try my best to help you out. God bless your decisionmaking! 😊
