- In this video we leave Inverness and head down the A9. We stop off at Loch Morlich and take a walk on the beach with the snow topped Cairngorm mountains in the distance.
We the leave The Highlands and head further down the A9. We stop off at The Hermitage in Dunkeld and have a walk along the River Braan to Ossians Hall before heading to Meikleour to our accommodation.

Loch Morlich was the destination for my first Christmas away from home. I had joined a climbing club and we went camping for Christmas here. I was 14 and was just blown away by our walks on the Cairgorms. The next year we were all over the UK and the following Christmas we were camping in Austria. I just got the travel bug and thankfully never had an antidote. The waterfalls at the Hermitage near Dunkeld looked great. I had not seen these. Must make a stop here next time up this way.
WOW!! What a place to start your love of travel. That whole area is stunning.
Definitely would recommend the Hermitage if you're ever up that way. It's straight off the A9. Some much longer walks you can do too ❤️🏴

Loch Morlich was fantastic even in the pouring rain and the friendly ducks made us laugh. They followed Boo along the beach 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Gets packed in the summer! Come on, you're from the north, dont bottle it, get in for a dip, lol fun fact we seen some deer and a stag while driving down M18 on Sunday in the fields

If it was summer we'd have definitely been in (didn't have our swim things with us or might have been tempted)
We have often see deer whilst on the M18 and M62 but never a stag.

@morgsjoboo2247 thanks. Best place I've ever seen stags was in Perthshire. At the back on Ben Lawers. We stayed in a small cottage in off Loch Tay and you could hear them at Sunset
