Hi Simon Hope you are well. It's a beautiful castle and the grounds are stunning. Yes Jo definitely got into character 🤣🤣🤣 Hope you're having a fabulous Bank Holiday weekend 🐣
I love a a castle but never heard of this one before and that weather has been typical this year, even though you visited last November. Still a nice walk around the grounds and the castle itself was very impressive, shame you could not have gone inside the castle and that old church as well. Cheers Alan
Hi Alan Thanks for watching our video It's a lovely place to visit with fabulous grounds. Sorry for the late reply, we have been away for a few days in North Wales so just catching up now Hope you are well and having a good week ☺️
I didn't realise Jo was such a thespian! Nice tour of Glamis, it shares some history to my local area. I was brought up in Hetton-le-Hole, part of the East Durham coalfield and the colliery owner was John Lyons, the Lyon's part of the Bowes-Lyons family connection. I believe his uncle 8th Earl of Strathmore (also called John - just to be confusing) married Mary Eleanor Bowes, of the Bowes family who owned Gibside, they were also coal mine owners. John Lyon (8th Earl) died at sea and with no descendants, presumably handing the title of Earl of Strathmore to John Lyon who is a distant Grandparent of the Queen Mother. Phew, my head hurts now 🙃.
Hi Andy Hope you are well. I wouldn't call me a thespian lol 🤣🤣🤣 I did try though WOW, so much history. I didn't know any of that. Thanks for sharing. I was grew up in a mining village too. Hope you're having a fabulous Bank Holiday weekend ❤️
