- 2009 Hemi Challenger & 1971 Dodge Demon 340 @ Milan Dragway Race Track. Frank drove his 2009 Hemi Dodge Challenger stock 4 speed and Godfather takes Franks 1971 Dodge Demon 340 sixpack down the strip the first pass at Milan Dragway test & tune Sunday 10/17/2010.
Then Franks takes his Demon Mopar street machine and runs an 11:69 time at 118 MPH on pass 2
A short still photo slideshow follows and then GODFATHER takes Randy's vintage 1964 Dodge Polara 440 red convertible down the track for a test run.

@Moon Pie Don't be jealous now, if you knew anything about cars you would know that the 340's were killer engines, eat 350's
The 340 motors we're so underrated, I saw them kick a lot of cars asses back in the day
1972 Demon stock 340 -- Carter thermoquad spreadbore carb, three speed standard Cragers all around. Hell on wheels around Harlingen, Texas '73 thru'77.

That Demon is a beauty! Don't see many of them anymore. Back when I was young I used to see lots of old Dusters, even a few Demons. Hard to find now.
Wouldn't it be NICE if the video showed the G.D. elapsed time and mph ? I saw nothing except two cars going down the road? No winner/no loser. no e.t. no mph. wtfHeck?
The SRT is nice but I would take the Demon over it
Those Demons were only built for two years, then the badging came off and they became the "Dart Sport", because Church groups complained. Can you believe that?
Yup with the 6 pack-- That little 340 goes, i like the color-- would you believe i bought a USED 69 Z-28 camaro back in the day and a former owner painted it that 'plum crazy' original color was hugger orange. I had it for many years and never painted, it wasn't a show paint job but looked decent and once in a while i would even get a compliment-- What due you have for gears in that Demon? 11.7 for a 340 is a very impressive time, cam sounds very radical, i see you have a serious motor
No, most people did not take it off and yes only the Challenger T/A and Cuda AAR were 340 six-pack cars. This Demon is not stock, not even close.
So cool the demon wears it's hp exhaust manifolds!

What a pity to bastardize a hard to find car as the Demon. AWFUL wheels and dashboard. Don't really care for the spoiler, either. I had a 340 4/gear Demon back in the day. I guess I am a purist. Love the Polara 'vert, however.
