Yeah, James was always the stoic one. Even in the last episode of Top Gear - where Hammond and May presented it without Clarkson, May seemed unmoved by it all while Hammond was quite somber. So to see James May emotional in this last episode, that's something.

I'm not an emotional man. I grew up in a tough area, with a tough family and at 16 I left school, joined the military and went off to a couple of hot places where some people didn't like us very much... I do not say this to try and come across as a "tough guy" or anything, it's for context... the final episode, the end here and the montage at the very end... First time i've cried since I was like, 12? ... i'm 38. I've seen Grandparents and Great Grandparents die, Friends die, and yet it's the end of Clarkson, Hammond & May as a Trio on our screens that finally brought me to tears! ... I honestly didn't realise until I watched this, how much those 3 meant to me in my life. 3 blokes I've never met, never had a conversation or a beer with, yet it feels like family.

I ever read it on an interview with Jeremy, he said that James had an emotion of a stone, as he didn't get emotional whatsoever upon parting ways with everyone. Jeremy got emotional, and so did Richard. But James? He just handshaking everyone and said goodbye without even looking sad. And I thought, 'did he? Or did he hiding it?' As a car guy, you don't even start that chapter until you are 17/18. So for "20 years" he figured it out and landed Top Gear, then for even long then he had been driving cars he was with Clarkson and Hammond. It really is beautiful

Honestly, in a world gone mad with ridiculous leftist wokism - you three blokes made us all cry with laughter at times, you always informed us of interesting things about cars, many of us bought cars on your recommendation.
Gentlemen, it’s been a privilege to walk these years with you.
    Thank you.
