    Hey gents! This just came across my recommended feed. Loved the video and thanks for the glowing review! Love the mods/upgrades despite how "Okie" it is. The push bars are a good idea and something we have been asked about in the past. Might be time to set some development efforts aside to implement this. I'm going to send out your video to our e-mail list to share it and get you some extra views! Thanks again.

      Awesome! Thank you. We're pretty impressed with your sled. There is something we'd like to discuss. Could you shoot me an email when you get a chance? rayn@makeawoodsign.com

    Nice sled. You could also suspend the router sled from the ceiling on 4 cables and lower it to use it. Have the vacuum and cord from the ceiling also.

    • @oldave100
      @oldave100  9 днів тому

      Thanks so much. We did consider that for the sled. I think we may do something like that for the power and vacuum.

    Maybe try something like telescoping paint handles. I think you’re thinking outside the box! Great job!

    That Okie rig will also save your backs. I have a small sled setup and I have to lean over with about a 45 degree angle to reach across, and my back gets stiff by the time I finish flattening projects that are only about the size of a cutting board.

    • @oldave100
      @oldave100  9 днів тому

      For sure. I was feeling it in my back before we added the handles.

    Yes, I really enjoy Sawdust Diaries! I also love your gigantic work table!!! The PVC "handles" are a brilliant idea. They are super lightweight and work like a charm! The sled appears to be a very top quality product. There will be no stopping you now when flattening slabs for tables!

    Just an idea, tape the power cord to the pvc so that you don't have to keep moving the cord out of the way.

    Awesome video guys! Question Do you have a list of where you get some of your bits not on your site? Maybe a brand or store?

    • @oldave100
      @oldave100  8 днів тому +1

      All of our bits are made by Amana. We are an Amana dealer so we get them directly from them. Most all of the bits we use are the ones we sell on the website.

    Nice video love what you guys always do. I’ve been looking into getting one of those for about a year now. Are you guys using the trim router or are using the full-size router?

    • @oldave100
      @oldave100  7 днів тому +1

      Thanks Tammy! When using the sled, you definitely need a full size router with a 1/2" collet. The surfacing bit is beefy and takes out a ton of wood
