Hey gents! This just came across my recommended feed. Loved the video and thanks for the glowing review! Love the mods/upgrades despite how "Okie" it is. The push bars are a good idea and something we have been asked about in the past. Might be time to set some development efforts aside to implement this. I'm going to send out your video to our e-mail list to share it and get you some extra views! Thanks again.
Awesome! Thank you. We're pretty impressed with your sled. There is something we'd like to discuss. Could you shoot me an email when you get a chance? rayn@makeawoodsign.com
Innovative in my opinion. Looks like it works, oaky or otherwise.
Thanks Christina! It definitely works and we'll refine it as we go
That is awesome! Great investment.
It really is an awesome tool!
Very nice setup.
Thank you Mark ❤
Nice sled. You could also suspend the router sled from the ceiling on 4 cables and lower it to use it. Have the vacuum and cord from the ceiling also.
Thanks so much. We did consider that for the sled. I think we may do something like that for the power and vacuum.
Maybe try something like telescoping paint handles. I think you’re thinking outside the box! Great job!
Yeah, that would work too. Thank you Scott ❤
Great idea, keep it up.
Thanks Monte!
That Okie rig will also save your backs. I have a small sled setup and I have to lean over with about a 45 degree angle to reach across, and my back gets stiff by the time I finish flattening projects that are only about the size of a cutting board.
For sure. I was feeling it in my back before we added the handles.
Yes, I really enjoy Sawdust Diaries! I also love your gigantic work table!!! The PVC "handles" are a brilliant idea. They are super lightweight and work like a charm! The sled appears to be a very top quality product. There will be no stopping you now when flattening slabs for tables!
Thank you Miss Lori ❤
Did guys hear a banjo lol. Love the video and looks great thanks guys😊
😂😂😂
Great idea 😂😂
Thank you😂😂 Gotta get creative sometimes
Have you thought of suspending the power from above?
Good idea
Bonito proyecto maestros!😮 saludos
Or at least zip tie the power cord to the "Okie" handle.....
Thank you!!!
Yeah that would work too
Ingenuity at its finest......great video!
Thank you buddy❤
Nothing Oakie about that fellas. Great job!
Thanks so much ❤
That's an awesome set up!!! Great Job
Thanks man!
Another great idea, you guys think of everything.
Thank you Irvin ❤
EZ E good idea 🤘🤘🤘
Thank you Dano ❤
I like Crafted Elements. a good company. but I purchased their Juice groove jig and found that Rockler makes an easier to use one.
They are a good company, we have bought from them before.
Just an idea, tape the power cord to the pvc so that you don't have to keep moving the cord out of the way.
Good idea, Thank you Keith ❤
nice
Thank you ❤
Awesome video guys! Question Do you have a list of where you get some of your bits not on your site? Maybe a brand or store?
All of our bits are made by Amana. We are an Amana dealer so we get them directly from them. Most all of the bits we use are the ones we sell on the website.
Nice video love what you guys always do. I’ve been looking into getting one of those for about a year now. Are you guys using the trim router or are using the full-size router?
Thanks Tammy! When using the sled, you definitely need a full size router with a 1/2" collet. The surfacing bit is beefy and takes out a ton of wood
Thanks
where are your dust masks???????!!!!!!!
They're in the drawer next to our safety glasses HAHA
