Haley Hodgson had a career ending concussion from a drill much like some of the drills sampled here. No one will listen to my words, likely, until it's too late. But teenage girls lack neck and shoulder strength and can get badly hurt from catching driven balls to their head.
I have never had such an injury in my 10 years coaching career. It's very important to do a proper physical preparation as well! Thanks for commenting, anyway! 👍

I’ve never played a sport or did anything athletic in my life and I’m low key really interested in volleyball so I’m gonna try out for my school’s volleyball,but I’m afraid it won’t turn out very good for me because of my short height (I’m 5’2 1/2) and poor athleticism

How old are you?
Height is not so important in voleyball. My height is 5'3 and i am one of the best libero in the school. Sure your spike wont be very good, but if you have jump ~80cm you will have high level shot

I am a libero and I stopped for 1 year because of pandemic and now I am back in training but I am under training I am joining with the varsity and all of them are spikers and it's so hard for me because I don't know how to spike hard or jumping then spiking. There training is different to libero. I'm struggling to cooperate with their training sets. It's Hard for me it mase me look like a loser 😭 I gain weight and I couldn't jump higher. But at the same time it's so amazing to seem them spiking.

I am actually interested in volleyball, also part of the reason why i watched haikyuu. And now, my school's PE is telling us to play volleyball and i haven't tried any sports at all, i don't know how to serve, receive or setting or any volleyball things. Ive been practicing at home, it seemed pretty good but i am afraid that it wouldn't turn out good if i am actually playing in our school and thinking i might embarrass myself to my classmates who actually has good volleyball experiences. I also wanted to be a volleyball player but i dont know how to start and i dont know if i can be a libero in our team.
I don't know how it works in your country,but it has to be a way for beginners to start playing some sport. All professional players were beginners at some point,so you have to try! I wish you all the best! 🤞🏐👍
@@WickedVolleyball it's not really a GAME, it's just like uh.. Activity in physical education, like our teacher just testing our skills and its a performance task. That's why i didn't join because i don't know how to do it 😅😅

do you mean the kneepads?
if you are, you can just go on Amazon to buy some I’d say they range around maybe 15-20 dollars for a pair? if you want a recommendation i use the Mizuno brand but find whatever fits you! (To search you can just search volleyball kneepads and you’ll have a bunch of options!)
