- After blowing a double-digit lead against UCF, Texas basketball coach Rodney Terry embarrassed himself over "Horns Down". Heartland College Sports' Pete Mundo and Matthew Postins discuss the fallout.
Texas is the epitome of class. Trusted conference partners for nearly 30 years, never once demanding special treatment. I'm sure Nebraska, Colorado, A&M and Missouri have long regretted their decisions to sever their relationship with Texas. Fortunately, A&M was able to convince the SEC to accept Texas when Texas had very classy conversations about leaving the Big 12.

I have no problem with UCF players doing horns down signs to each other and maybe UCF fans. Did you see the signs that Texas fans had for UCF? They had a "University of Convicted Felons" sign! LOL! I thought it was funny but at the same time I was asking what exactly do they mean by that? Hmmm. Anyway, that's sports! No harm no foul! Go Knights! Charge On!!!

A point of interest … UCF’s rivals the USF Bulls have been doing the horns up hand gesture and UCF have been doing the horns down gesture in response for 20 years (these players’ entire lives). So it is a normal thing for UCF players and fans to do up until this year since they don’t play USF anymore.
Sooner fan here. Horns down is an involuntary bodily function that naturally occurs when you smell burnt orange

On much more important note, it is time that the Big XII gained a new conference name.
At present, there are 14 schools.
When Texas and OU move to the SEC, and the addition of the Pac-12 school happens, there will be 16 schools.
It sounds a bit dumb to call a conference that includes 16 schools the Big XII.
Does it mean that 12 of the schools are grand, but the other four are lesser in some way? 😂😂😂😂
Just like it sounds stupid to call a conference that soon will have 18 schools the Big Ten. I guess they feel that eight of those schools are inferior.
At least the SEC makes sense. No matter how many schools they have, they are the Southeastern Conference,
Go back to calling the Big XII the Southwest Conference.
Call the Big Ten the Midwest Conference.
I'm sure Rodney Terry and crew disciplined the basketball player that went to the kstate crew with horns up at the student section. Guaranteed not.
