Thank you so much for this great information with your demonstrations. I’ll definitely try these, though I am already doing some versions of stretches, including the pigeon. What I can’t understand is why sciatica pain seems to come and go. I get brief periods of a couple of weeks when I don’t have it at all and then I get a sudden flare up. I have no way of knowing what causes this
The most likely explanation (but I really don’t know since I’m not your doctor) is biomechanics are off. Until you solve the source of it, unfortunately you’ll be on a rollercoaster. I suggest finding a corrective chiropractor in your area.
realized the slow build of episodes to becoming sciatica throughout the years... giving birth was a breeze compared to the excruciating pain of sciatica ... thank you for your very detailed videos , i just have a question is there a stretch you recommend for a cramping shin 😢 this is day three of sciatica pain ive done a few stretches and have helped minimize the pain 🙏🏼
When you have any cramp I would always suggest taking magnesium and calcium together. Usually it’s a sign of low mineral levels. Also, if you’re a runner, it could be a sign of tibial torsion or an ankle problem.
Hey Dr. So glad to stumbled across your page. I had bad sciatica while I was pregnant. After I gave birth it kind of went away with stretches but last week I got a chiropractic adjustment and I have been limping ever since, with back and leg pain. The back of my knees hurt all the way to my toes. Could it have been due to the adjustment? If so do you have and other recommendations?
Not that odd to be honest. Especially once chiropractors start correcting the core problem it can stir things up. This is usually short lived. In saying that, your Chiropractor should explain and lay out exactly what you should expect. Keep in mind I am a corrective chiropractor and have a very different process compared to drop in care chiropractors, pain chiropractors or traditional chiropractors
can you recommend a specific magnesium? I'm not sure how to get to the 400mg as all the labels are so different. They say for example 72mg Magnesium from 400mg bisglicinate. Is that what I want?
How. Can. I. get Ur Magnesium. I'm. a Nigeria hve Lumber Spondylosis since 2021 March , dat affected bones L3, L4, n L 5, with Excruciating pains, Numbness on d Left Leg n Tingling on d right Leg, pls help
If you don’t want surgery you can get another opinion from a surgeon. In the meantime I would do conservative therapy by seeing a chiropractor and see how you do
That’s ok! If ice works for you then definitely keep that up. I’m not your doctor and therefore can’t make specific recommendations. It means you have a lot of inflammation and something is definitely wrong. Most sciatica I see has been there for months if not years and now a chronic condition so it responds better to heat.

Magnesium Bisglycinate. Whatever the bottle or brand, it will say dosage on it
