Lol, used mine for only the second time last weekend. Should take about 15 min max to put up. After best part of an hour, my eight year old got up, looked at the pump and asked what the writing on it was. Inflate on one side, deflate on the other. Had the bloody thing on deflate so the little air that went in, was sucked out lol. We make a journal of our trips and mum asked what we’d learned. My son looked at me smiling and said, we’ve learned how to inflate it by making sure it’s not on deflate. Won’t do that again.
I have this awning and it stood up well to some heavy rain in wales recently, downside is failed in the wind and some of the stitching has faed on a couple of fasteners, very disappointed as only used 3 times.
New UA-cam review of the new 2015 #Kela II AirAway #Airbeam van awning from #Vango . Filmed last week in the sunshine at the lovely Carnon Downs Caravan & Camping Park. #campers #VWT4 #VWT4Transporter
Great vid, I came to Truro and bought one after watching this. I used the shorter two straps over the roof, not really sure what the long ones are for? There are two more connectors on the sides of the awning for straps though. Also its best to position it towards the rear of the van so the top of the sliding side door doesn't catch on the awning. :) Thanks
Paddy Lee Hi Paddy thanks for the feedback, I think the long straps are for tie downs at the front, (like big guy lines) and clip on to the front clips? Or have you already got these attached?? Good point about positioning it towards the rear of the Van, we actually mention that in our first Kela review, forgot in this one! Cheers
Already got those two attached, two across the roof and two more proper long ones which seem to fit the clips just by the two new doors closest to the van.......
Hi, what's the price on the Vango's Kela II AirBeam ? is there an update version also? we have a Mercedes vito. your thoughts? Great review BTW! thanks!!!
Hi Paddy, We are up to the Kela V now with prices around the £600 mark. There are also many different new models to suit your needs. www.threezero.co.uk/awnings/awnings-by-brand/vango-airaway-awnings.html
Me and her chose the Kela 4 for our fiat motorhome. Great product, But , it doesn't fit within the 6 metres width of the Caravan Clubs fire safety distance? The length is outwards not along the Van? We always project over the safe limit line? Stupid design?
Great explanations - thanks!
What a thorough description, really helpful.
The number of dislikes is unreal. What were people expecting, tits and explosions?
🤣
What a fantastic thorough review. Very clear audio too. Thanks very much
That's it getting one, at last someone who shows you how to put them up and all the connections to the van. Thanks

Could you use awning for extra sleeping? I should think you can?
Could a 4-6mm conversation kit with a Kador strip be used with a Fiamma F35 pro awning?
Very well presented, thank you
Cool video. Can i drive off with my car and leave the tent in position, or do I have to pack up the tent everytime I want to use my car
It's a drive away? Not a packaway?
Great review looks very good :) Tim
How does the sliding door operate?
Dog f❤
Great review thanks :)
Where can I buy the clamps for the guttering fix!
Hi Super Dog, we should be getting them in by March. www.threezero.co.uk/p/19510/Vango-Pole-and-Clamp-Kit-250cm
Three Zero thanks
Can’t believe they didn’t include a little 12v electric pump.
not big enough
Really good - until you get a puncture - - -
The tubes are encased in a sleeve and can be easily slid out for a repair. And then slid back in again, they are not part of the awning.
How about a review by someone who combs their hair and knows what a belt is used for. Very unprofessional
Prepperjon OK Sarge lol
Great demonstration. Very clear description. Well done and thanks.John
