That noise would do my head in
Yeah poor for the price.
The van setup looks ideal for someone who'd go out once every so often in their van for a camp out, but I don't think works for anything regular, its too spartan. As for the heater, I was practically screaming about the noise, so glad you mentioned it too!
Cooker for me is a no no. You can't regulate the heat. Listening to that heater while watching this video, was like having permanent TINNITUS, in your ear. ❤😂
52000 knicker, er, I thought van life was meant to be affordable? I’m living in my tiny beautiful caravan, £3500. Double bed, fridge, gas cooker, sink, toilet etc. Happy as a pig in mud! Great review but I think it’s a no from me 😊❤
What more do you need
Show some pikkys!
There's nothing about that van that I like. They would have to pay me £52k to take it off their hands 😂
You mean you don't like standing out like a sore thumb with a bright green colour scheme, and also you don't like being kept awake all night by a jet engine?
I@@mikelovesbaconIts only green stripes and there is no camper on this earth that is truly stealthy. If you're parked somewhere, someone will always see you and will always know.
@@mikelovesbacon I despise side conversions with rock n roll beds coz ya can't get in the cupboards or microwave and maybe even the fridge if you've moved seat forward for more "garage" space ... until you put the bed away. Fixed bed is a must. Don't even get me started on the jet engine that cooks at one heat setting and cannot be taken outdoors. The swivel seats were quality (not) and also the pop top was quality (not). Haha as I said I didn't like owt .... Hmmm maybe I liked the green 😂😂😂
Well I love it 😂
Agreed it’s a 30k and a 5k conversion
Just when i was running out of you tube recommendations that i wanted to watch, you saved me will with you being one ofy favs
Thanks 👊🏻👊🏻
Nice video will. And well done for normalising mental health challenges. We certainly all have them. I run therapeutic schools and it is refreshing to see ur solution based outlook. Keep chin up, smiling and pushing forwards and keep doing what you love. It's inspiring to many I expect. Brett
Thanks very much Brett 👊🏻
You are doing amazing Martha, I am quite jealous, used to ride my dad's bikes as a kid, I can feel it as you are going around. Please be very proud of yourself ❤
I always love your videos Will. I love your sense of humor.
I appreciate that!
Hi Will. Great video as usual. Being a Devonian by birth, i have to tell you that you actually spent the night in the car park below Houndtor not Haytor. (think of the hound of the baskervilles). Anyway, you were very brave, as the infamous Jays grave is just down the road, and legend has it that she roams the roads at night, and has been seen by many motorists. There are always fresh flowers on her grave, but no one knows who puts them there.
Prefer your van to the one that were in this video, and was surprised that a new van of this size did not have any toilet facilities.
Years ago i had an old Bedford camper which slept 4 and had a shower /toilet , fridge, oven, grill, hot water boiler and a built in gas fire all in a similar size van to this one. Maybe, if you can find one still running, you could try a night in it. Mine was a 1979 model.
I have several Jays Grave stories I could tell, along with Berry Pomeroy Castle 🥹😂
Well I’m glad I didn’t know about this until afterwards or I might not have done it 😂. Thanks for the info and I would love to get hold of a Bedford, I think that would be a great camper
@@WillsWhereabouts Dartmoor is owned by the Dutchy so its all ( mostly ) private property which means its like the National Trust. I have been kicked off the Moor before for flying 😂
We used to have a 20 year old Talbot camper, it was brilliant. So much fun apart from no power steering 😂. There must be one available somewhere 👍
@@WillsWhereabouts It is possible to stay on a small campsite at the Plume of Feathers pub in Princetown. I think more country pubs should try and provide this service. It would keep them in business and the campers could quite happily have a few beers, and not have to worry about driving.
You could make a camper van cookbook with all your receipes you are doing in every camper you stays in
If you’re opening / closing a pop top always open one of the side doors to equalise the air pressure 👍
I do prefer you in those trousers, especially when you are wrestling with the passenger seats. Good to see that you didn't abuse the disabled parking bays even though you were desperate for the toilets.
Cheers Will....that heater/burner by Wallis is super-cool and the entire van is very nice for the $52K!
The cooker heater combo is very clever, but also very noisy.
Yea that was the biggest downside for me
What a great message for those who struggle with mental health.
The fact that you were down south in devon were i was born brings a smile to my face. Just hope you visit the north were i work at somepoint since the parking is free were i work.
I’m sure I’ll be visiting at some point
@@WillsWhereabouts Ill get my discount card ready for your morrisons breakfast then.😁
Awesome video as always. I always look forward to your videos
Thanks very much
Love your videos mate .. keep up the good work 👍
Thanks Steve
@@WillsWhereabouts no worries nice to see someone not a million miles away either . Going onto my second conversion in June time hopefully and looking at a Ducato 👍
Very cool campervan Will, and a very reasonable price. Cool to see the Moors too. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for watching!
Great video will, good to see you upbeat and enjoying the different vans 👍 needs a bog mate lol
Thanks mate 👍
Brilliant will 💪
Great video, loving your work. When's your next land rover camping experience going to be? love you
Thank you will realy nice van so cosy nice size lovely meal enjoyed video stay safe 😊❤❤
Thanks Elizabeth
Me and my mate Dylan were wild camping there this weekend. Dartmoor never gives you two days of weather that are the same. Those wind speeds are a little different in a tent, I must say. Hope you had a good time down there. Keep up the good work with the entertaining videos Will.
The winds were so bad even in a van, I can’t imagine in a tent hah
My neck of the woods.. ish. I love Dartmoor and my friend lives in Moretonhampstead! I'm about 35-40 minutes away. Used to drive tgere at the weekends with my now grown up kidz and my dogz - we all loved the fresh air and fab views. Great for chillaxing ❤ thanks Will 👌 fab vid. Van was lovely, but that noise would def aggravate my hearing... good idea, but needs improvement me thinks... 😊
That stove is LOUD!!!! Would drive me nuts. Also: Is there any way to regulate the heat down if you need to simmer instead of boil or fry?
That bloody noise would drive me round the bend!!
I've been watching your videos for a while now and I very much enjoy the quirky camper videos in particular. However, these videos are a refreshing in their own right. Please keep doing what you're doing. Cheers. Also, if you don't cut off the root of the onion and continue cutting up the veg then there's a good chance you won't cry as much as you'd have during your previous videos. Also if you cut it in half and soak the pieces in water then that helps immensely as well.
Well I don't fancy the neon green on the side kind of makes it stand out for stealth camping
Hi will,s love it lovely campervan
A Peugeot with a warning light...that’s a first...😂😂😂
Cool vids will looking forward another corky van...what bracelet is it?
your next vehicle should be a British Army AFV 432, there is a place in the midlands that has them,
Great content bro love it
Cheers mate
Another great video mate
Thanks 👍
Hi my husband and his work colleague did these graphics. So proud of them !!
Best thing about the van
That heater sounds like a jumbo jet.
I would make clear (removable) plastic screens to put over the window netting (same shape) when opening up the pop top windows, to keep the wind and cold levels down in colder weather.
Great van and very reasonably priced.
Peep the airbag light on 😂 on a vehicle that's done 1000 miles 👌🏼 good old naff French quality.
Made in Italy and Poland although the engine and gearbox are made in France!
Van of that size should have a shower/toilet
It has a toilet/sink combo
Hi Will, that camper van looks smart on the outside, very catchy, still very pricey. It wouldn’t cost that much if you designed it yourself. For that price you would expect a bathroom, don’t think I could sleep with that noisy heater on all night. I wouldn’t live in it. Holiday van only I reckon. Thank you Will, it’s good information to know when looking for an ideal camper van. What to get and what not to get. All the best ✌️🤟🏼👍🥰
good vid on trave nice van
The camper is very minimalistic, but I like the idea that you could possibly still use it as a normal van if you needed to. A bit expensive though. Good video again mate.
That heater/hob is pretty kookie.
Looks a decent van that and cracking price, you should do a budget one next
Top video mate 😂👍
Thanks 👍
What about like a 25-30k start off motorhome Will?
I’d love to get hold of one
I like the layout. It would be perfect for us and our family.
Nice to see Wallis back in the vids
Ouch
I wondered why the way he says Wallis sounded familiar 😂
@@On_the_vanwagon one minute she was here and going on globetrotting next minute we’ve got a brunette
So unless near a toilet give that recipe a miss then?😂😂 class video m8
🤣😆
I live very near Dartmoor, was actually there at all the spots! Haytor is a great walk, I’ve also got a galaxy called Frankenshed, you can take it out…
Corrr I’d love to see Frankenshed
@@WillsWhereabouts brilliant, well as soon as it passed the MOT with some welding and bits, I’ll send you a message. 👌
I stayed 15mins up the road from there at Finlake Holiday Resort last week. It was really windy last Tuesday (60mph winds). It's a great part of the UK to visit. We've been twice in the last 6 months.
It’s a beautiful place, only downsides is the weathers been awful
@@WillsWhereabouts We visited Dartmouth and Blackpool Sands beech whilst we were down there. Google it! It's a beautiful beach. Both well worth a visit but don't think you would sneak an overnight park up down there. They have ANPR cameras to work out your parking fees automatically when you leave.
Scoff looks good
It was banging
Heyy Will nice van the seats didn't want to cooperate lol, your dinner looks delicious thanks for sharing stay safe
Thanks for watching
Hay Will share some of these vans with the US. Much more affordable then ours XD. Vary fun video/journey as always.
Oh my God, that is the exact same van that I use in my job we run a minibus service
Hugh tube had heater hob in his selfbuilt van few year ago.. not cheep 🤣😂
Just checking in to see if there were any new videos. Just took a moment to appreciate the quality of your thumbnails. Not sure if you do them yourself or someone else, but they are so eye catching and clever
Interesting to see but I much prefer your van!
It’s very interesting to see all of the different layouts and designs
Hello will, I’ve always watched your videos back in the galaxy!! You do some great videos, they flow well 👍. Only complaint is audio could be better on the voice, might be your muff is a bit thick (on the mic I mean!) Keep up the great job you’re doing 👍👍👍
Since when is £52000 normal??... people not long ago didn't pay that for a house..
Exactly... prices are crazy these days 🙄
You should always cook the onion and peppers first as they take the most time
I like to do things backwards 😂
I always wonder. I usually brown off meat first and pour fat away. Then add onions & peppers coz I like em on the crunchy side. Here's a question How do you slice a hotdog roll. Straight down the top or along the side. I've just bought a pack of sliced rolls and realised in all of my 62 years I've always sliced em along the side as if they are a burger bun
Suggestion, from experience: NC500, MX5, Tent + Dog.
You know you want to.
I really like it - not keen on the heater noise though
Hi watch your channel everyweek as a family of 4 we have had 2 tents 2 caravans and 2 camper vans and the price of camping on sites now is going up as they like to charge per person as a family of 4 this makes it as cheap sometimes to stay in a cheap hotel chain. The price of hire of camper is also not budget friendly in school holidays everything gose up in price we wild camp and love it so thought at this time of year when families are looking at options and budgets it might be good to !!!!!
1 buy a budget camper 2000 ish use for a week or two and resell and get your money back so essential you get your accommodation for free on resale. 2 hire a box van or similar and kit out with camping gear air beds camp chairs all on budget and wild camp compairing price to camper rental. Im always one for a adventure and to think out of the box the 1st time we slept in our van it was on cushions from couch used a camp stove and loved it so did kids. Now we built our van and have everything ie toilets shower oven fixed beds for 4. If I didn't have it i would defo go try one of these ideas for a budget friendly holiday and when I was younger and didn't have kids still think doing this with friends would have been amazing fun (just an idea)
Hey will try an old rv from nz I think its an izuzu and a trail light bed above cab with engine under passenger seat bc the front is flat and um wheres the toilet!!!!!
Nice video, but I would love too see you trying out a big 3 axle motorhome !!!
I’ll need to upgrade my driving licence for that
I tried to overnight in the New Forest in August last year. It was 3pm so I parked carefully but the next thing - Martin popped up at my window. I called him Creepy Martin. He was very firm about not staying overnight. So I had to find a camp ground. 😂
At least there us plenty of head for tall people like myself, downside lacks toilet.
A day-van for the hard of hearing! But thanks for sharing.
Open the door and there is nobody here.
I know l will cook for the whole world. Lol
Love the vid Will, keep them coming.
I need to start portioning the food 😂
52k for this?! Maximum 35k... did the designers actually test that heater in a real world environment (example, actually sleeping with that horrible noise?)
Where's the ventilation too 😂
Nice video will.... I would not paid 52k for that 😊 your van better 😊
Very cool layout, but the heater is an odd choice. Wish we had some more simpler offerings like this in the States
Wow! The heater noise? Not on your nelly!
Looks like a nice van, that check airbag light however is not lol. Could prevent the airbags from functioning, that's def an oversight on their end.
Could you do a series on budget campers £500-£1500 please 😀😀
I’d love too if I could find some haha
Does it still heat the van up when cooking or is it an either or I’ve seen these a few times and they cost £2500
That cooker/heater is a good design concept, shame its so annoyingly noisey 😂😂😂
The sound of the heater would drive me mad mate nice van though
was it windy by any chance?
Let's go
👊🏻👊🏻
tbf that would be boiling up top in the summer lol
Can you try the luxury American rv
I’ll see if I can find one
The new ones certainly don’t look homey. ❤❤
Sometimes I yearn for the Galaxy Cookbook! 😂
There’s still time haha
Extractor fan?
Nice camper van, but the heater/cook top 👎🏻. No bathroom/ toilet 👎🏻. The outside looked nice though. Great video, Will!! Xo🇺🇲
Thanks 🙏🏻
Absolutely love your videos but that vans not quirky enough for you 😂
😂 I tend to agree with you
Cook the pasta in the same pan with a bit more water save on the washing up
Corn beef ... Chopped into a pan... Cook till the fat melts....add brown sauce.... Baked beans with currants and curry spice spoon of margarine....best up...serve with toast of potato....
It won't be easy but if you can try get hold of a Hymer Venture S, its gobsmacking
That would be epic
Nice van. But the nicer model you've reviewed is actually £62k
Seems like the tank sizes and electrics are fairly basic for the money. I do love your videos though - great presentation
Another great video Will but...... would I buy that van? No. Its not a "home away from home" and far too sterile for me. If I had 53K in my pocket, Id get the van bare and convert it to my own tastes. Having said that, you did look like you had fun in it. Looking forward to the next one. Much respect- Kenny
Cheers Kenny
❤❤❤
Will. Just a quick question about where you parked, are you sure that was Haytor out the window and not Hound Tor? 🤔
The reason I ask is the carpark you were in seems to be in the wrong place.
If I'm right then you were only 1.5 miles away from Heytor at ( 50°35'56"N 3°46'56"W ) not that it matters that much anyway. 🧐
On the subject of mental health it takes a lot of courage to ask for help and if anyone has an issue with ' Better help ' then think about if it's more important getting the help or not. I'd say getting help is more important.
If the video was recorded 18th April then the weather would have been lovely. 😀
I think you should invest in some earplugs and also some kitchen scales for weighing your pasta!
😂😂😂
