Man that's one badass Camaro Z/28. The look of it coming down the road at you is priceless, reminds me of the hotrods back in my younger day, just a hell of a lot nicer. Thanks for the video.
Love the car and especially the color! I see my man catching flak in the comments, about putting a big block and automatic in a z/28. Bro, it's your build do what you like! I love the taillights and mirrors also. Personally I prefer the 67 - 68 body style with a rally sport front end.
@@AutotopiaLA Bro! How did you slip up with the 69 or 68 question? I know personally it took me awhile to see the difference between a 67 and 68 Camaro. Front turning signals, round versus oval. But the 69 front, rear and sides, even the RS package. Looks different from the 67-68 models.

Good stance. Although I like the outside rearview mirrors, I'm not a fan of the mailbox on the hood and the modern LED lighting. The front seats are tacky as well. At least it looks fun to drive and it's a burnout monster.
On my Camaro project, first things I would resto and or mod. But that is just me. steering rack (mustang II / or whatever generic brand is making a similar design) brakes (definitely front / probably rear as well) heater and air conditioning tires and wheels (275 front / 325 rear, minimum for a engine with over 500 hp engine), wheels are up to you)
After coming to the conclusion the '69 is too expensive, I've been thinking the '67-'68s are the way to go and you get "more car for the price" choosing from the first two model years. This video hit the right spot!
True they are expensive but get what you truly want. I bought my 69 Camaro 2 years ago right before the pandemic. There are some badass 67 and 68s out there but if you want the 69 just bite the bullet and do it...you won't regret it.
@@AutotopiaLA agreed. Plus, if your dropping that much money on a ‘69, why not get a new one from Dynacorn ? New metal, build it the way you want. Very Nice. I had a 67' Yellow with Black stripes...also big block. Was there a reason that you turned out the exhaust with big Diesel looking tips? Just curious.

Big fan of the channel, but this may be the first time I have ever heard a "car guy" look at a '68 Camaro and ask if it was a '69. Yikes! 😲 Great episode, though. Keep the content coming!
Growing up i owned six gen 1 Camaros now that i am an old man i can't afford to buy one. i should have keep one. at least i was smart enough the keep two C2 corvettes and one 57 Belair hardtop. HA

Beautiful car. Big fan of the 1st gen camaros. Quick question....how does this car do on the freeway with a turbo 400 2800 stall and 4.10 gears? I have a zz502 create motor in my 67 rs/ss with turbo 400 and a 2500 stall and I am at 2900 rpm at 70mph.

Great car - but it sounds like somethings holding that beast back. Just didn’t seem to have that hi rev peel and snake out on the road like a trick BB. Still … wicked Camaro bro well done.
Rick good call, there is actually a lot more finetuning that is going to be done on this one both in ergonomics and in the crucial step some people never do… dynotuning. Some people think throwing in a crate 502 ramjet with a 2800 stall converter/ built th400 is all it takes. I know now from experience both with big blocks like this and even a good modern LS that having an expert plug in and adjust timing, fix little issues in the power delivery and fuel system etc is crucial to how a car will perform and feel. The prior owner didn’t (clearly) and also seemingly didn’t build it to drive much which is why it had great paint and body, an awesome motor etc but leafs and drums in the back and other things overall which didn’t make a lot of sense. Im just about there now with getting this camaro to the point of being a great drive, now the dyno is the last step mechanically and the longer steering column to separate the wheel from the custom dash enough for plenty of room while driving. Shawn pointed that out actually. Always good to have someone who drives as many cars as he does give feedback on how to improve or just finish off a build nicely.

Sweet! The 1st gen Camaro is the prettiest of all of the muscle cars.
Most of the time yellow doesn't work. But on this it does!! Awesome Car!

The color combo is really awesome.
Cool take on this car! Love the color
Thankyou Sean and Andrew for the upload: what an awesome burnout machine. Andrew congratulations on a kickass Camaro, shred those tyres!!!!
