I'm 14, and I'm 5'4, and I have always wanted to be in the modeling business. It has always been a dream of mine to be a model, and my family and I have been struggling with money, and I just think it would really help us, and I think it would a really great and fun experience. I am having a lot of trouble finding an agency, I've filled out a few applications , but I've got nothing yet. I know it can take time for responses, but I'm getting worried. I haven't found any agencies to really email, but I'm trying so hard. Please help me:(

I've tried out for so many competitions and chances to win photo shoots, yet nothing. and even like you, I've contacted some agencies and i haven't gotten any responses! glad someone is on the same boat and a bit worried like me! i hope you get a agency contact you soon! best of luck x

Maybe its not meant to be, maybe you have something else that's great that you need to do in your life and that's why you cant get a job.

OMG. I have a casting on Monday and I am super duper nervous! I have gotten a bit plumper since I stopped modeling after uni - hope I could still go back. Butterflies all over again!
Thanks for the insight. I wish I watched this video before paying for an image studio program.I would advise all aspiring models, not to do what I did. NEVER PAY MONEY. Smaller agencies sometimes offer this, asking for money upfront. Lesson learned.
+TT TT thanks for your comment! Yes, it's certainly not normal for an agency to ask for money up front for a course or shoot upon signing a contract. They should be able to help you build up your portfolio for free. Some really good photographers do charge for test shoots, and this might come up as a suggestion from your agent as a worthwhile investment, but it's never compulsory and it's always up to you. Reputable agents will only set up test shoots they believe will be worthwhile and help you make money. Most reputable fashion modelling agencies are listed on models.com :)

I've entered some modelling competitions and some chances to get photoshoots and I contacted some agencies too! yet nothing! I'd just like to know how long did it take you to actually get into modelling or how long until an agency usually contacts you back! thanks! love your eyes btw! 👼🏼✌🏼️
The Potential for modeling Business in Iran is very high but no body know how to start this Business here...Some foreigners should come here
Why are there so many people whining? Just do your research, take advice from people who know what they are talking about (like this girl talking), be healthy (Don't EVER starve yourself. Eat healthy foods and be active daily. You don't need to be weird about it. Just take good care of yourself), and go from there. You'll figure it out with a clear, strong, and healthy mind set. I know you can do it! You just have to be confident! And if you aren't completely yet, Fake it until you make it!!! 💙 just be honest otherwise lol
(Edit) I'm 15, 5'7 going on '8. I am an aspiring model too. I'm looking for an agency too. Don't get me wrong. I understand. I feel your pain and struggles, but begging doesn't get you anywhere good. There's danger in the modeling industry. Be careful and collected. Don't be so desperate that you can't see when you're being scammed. I'm 5'5-5'6 and 14 and I have wanted to be a model for a while now, and my mom is strict about me modeling but my doctor says I will probably reach 6'0 by the time I stop growing thanks to my long legs so I want to be a model or if not I also enjoy designing clothes
Hay! As you said do not sign straight to the modeling contract. Why? What to do instead of signing, what do tell the agent?

Thank you for your great video. It really had all important information. but I got one more question: Imagine you have no financial support, maybe you even live in another country than your family does. You said it needs time and patience- what do you live from when you start modeling?

Modeling is something that I have always been interested in. I'm 13 and about 5'5 right now but I will probably be 5'7-5'8 in a year or two. I'm not skinny but I'm not fat but im not average ( I have a kind of hourglass shape my measurements are 38-28-40). I am always being told that I am pretty by people other than my friends and family. Scouts always say that you need to have something distinct about you, and people always say that I have beautiful eyes and my hair is very long, shiny, and thick. I really want to be noticed by scouts. Does anyone have any tips?

Hi Cassie! I'm almost 18 and 5'10" and I had applied to several agencies online and had heard nothing so I decided to try an open call as I'm very close to NYC. The first turned away everyone but at the second they expressed interest and took my photos and info but wound up never calling me back. I want to go to more open calls but it's hard with most of them on week days and how few agencies even hold open calls anymore. If I were to call an agency with no open calls asking for an appointment would they even give me one? Is this only for models who are already signed and want multiple agencies?

I’m thirteen and five foot seven. I keep on getting rejected by agencies or they just don’t respond and I just don’t understand where I’m going wrong. Marina Modeling isn’t always about how tall you are and how skinny you are. I would recommend you picking the agency that fits you the best. It’s hard to find a agency that has no problem with your height, it mainly depends on where you live. But don’t worry because you have to always pursue your dreams and don’t make your physical appearance let you down. :) (I dunno what I’m talking about) hope this helps

Hi 😊 I'm 15 and 5'8 and I've been told several times that I should be a model, and I'm even looking at agencies with my mom now. but I have acne scars. others don't seem to notice as much but I do. Do you think this could possibly hinder me from getting signed by an agency?
Im not really a model yet, however i dont really think acne scars dont excessovely matter. A model I have seen online informs her audience that what is seen on the camera isnt always real: sometimes it is editted. Hope this helps.

for some modelling agencies you can send photos and info in and if they want you do they send you out to meet them in person?? and if you get signed and have to move do they pay for you or do you pay for everything how does that work???

+Haley Orr Hello Haley! If you want to get into modelling I'd recommend going into the agency or giving them a phone to show your true personality. Then if they are interested they will book a meeting about signing you and possibly getting some photos done. Remember, do not go to an agency that asks for any money- legit agencies will not cost you anything apart from travel expenses. If you are signed the agency usually starts taking the money from your work to cover travel expenses but that depends on your contract. And if you are only 5,8.5 is a great height and perfect for modelling! Good luck x
