Hello and Congratulations to you Sarah, Willie, and Jack Spaniels. You reached 40k subscribers. Been watching your channels for a while now, and I am so happy for your growth. Greetings from the U.S.A.
So pleased that the plasterboard is finished! What a tedious boring job for you and Jack Spaniels was fed up too! Loved seeing the baby goldfinches on your feeders they are so cute! Very interesting to see the old bottles Willie. Take care everyone and see you soon, I love this channel x
So let me see if I have this right; I have watched a video of a young couple digging a hole, picking and arranging wild flowers, hacking up bits of insulation board and fitting bits of plaster board - and for some unknown reason not only have I enjoyed the experience but it appears that 40,000 other people are equally fascinated. Next week we will all watch you painting the plaster board and I, for one, am particularly looking forward to seeing the paint dry. The only explanation can be your vibrant personalities and infectious joy of life. I reckon your subscriber numbers will double if you can teach Jack to juggle. Thank you for sharing your fun and for all the hard work you put into video production.
Ahahaha - honestly we are as mind blown as you are 😅 But we are so glad you’re enjoying the videos and will of course begin Jack’s juggling lessons with immediate effect, although he does tend to get quite distracted by tennis balls 🤦♀️
Sarah & Willie, when you first moved to Skye, it was almost impossible to imagine the conversion of the byre. Your vision stayed strong, though! Seeing what you have accomplished is nothing short of amazing!! This week's video was so full of fun things! Thank you again for sharing your life on Skye with all of us. Your precious Jack standing sentry outside the byre will be pictured prominently in my mind this week! He melts my heart! ♥ You have a great week, all of you!
I’m not surprised at all by your channel growth- I subscribe to many home improvement/life change/lifestyle channels and you two have it all & then some- you’re great at editing and balancing the calming scenery, the storytelling and highlighting your many talents. Mr. Jack Spaniels is a wonderful bonus. 💜 Be sure to get those timelapses so you can do a million view super cut! :)
The rooms look huge with the drywall up! Nice job with all those angles! Jack being a patient boy (with a comb-over) outside the byre door, was so CUTE!
What an accomplishment guys, the studios are nearly there! Laughed out loud at Jacks "comb-over" and taken by surprise by Willie's Gregorian chant! 😄The flower arrangement, using the unearthed jar, was so beautiful Sarah- maybe a watercolor inspiration??! 🥰
Willie and Sarah, have you heard of a bottle tree? The intact bottles that aren't too exciting can be put on a "tree" out in the garden and can even be lit up! Colored bottles are lovely out in a garden!
Its so beautiful there. I'm an American with no ties to the UK so no luck on trying to purchase a home anywhere is Scotland but I sure can dream. Love your home.
Hello Willie, Sarah and Jack, The byre looks fantastic. Just a bit of mudding and some paint and of course moving in. Miss the bottle digging video's so thank you for sharing. Have a blessed week and take care.
You two are so impressive. Congrats on a job well done. Jack looked so dejected this episode. Having to stay outside and watch does not seem like it’s his favorite thing. Good luck this next week.
Congrats on 40K! Congrats on the work you’ve accomplished on the byre. Loved the little bottle dig, Willie. And Sarah, your flowers arrangement is beautiful.
Yay! Look what you did! Beautiful light for Sarah's painting & beautiful music/room for Willie. Incredible effort! I thought your Bottle digging was mad physical work. Such personal improvements to a magical place. Blessings of Youthful Joy❣
You look happier and more beautiful as your well being increases with the lovely life that you re creating for yourselves. You are truly inspirational. Bless you all. Kate.x
I like watching a bottle hunter here in the United States that turns broken bottles into glasses. He uses the bottles that has writing or symbols and turns them into different sized glasses. Recycling the otherwise unusable bottles. Great work on the byre!
Looks great! I love the wonky walls, but my favorite part is still the door. It will be amazing when it’s finished! You should be very proud! Love the old bottles you discover, Willy. They are so pretty and the history behind them is fascinating. Thank you for sharing!
I can see how the the glass bottle digging would get addictive. They were lovely. The byre is nearly there well done guys, Richard will be proud of you both.
Many congratulations on your 40 K subscribers, you are such a lovely couple and deserve your popularity, and very well done with the work you put in this week on the Byre. Of course it was only possible with the help of Jack. You are the highlight of my Sunday, See you next week.
Great vlog, are you considering installing a rain water tank? Here in Australia many homes rely on rainwater for their main source. It’s also very useful for the garden and washing the car etc.
Honestly you guys, I’m in complete awe of what you have achieved in only a few months. Can’t wait to see the finished article. I bet you can’t either😂❤
What a brilliant job! I’ve done a bit of work with plasterboard, so know just how messy it can be, and not being flexible, has to be cut exactly to shape! You’re work spaces are going to be so special! Thank you all for another inspiring and uplifting video. The goldfinch fledglings were the icing on the cake!
aww! great progress guys! Jack's been so good sitting patiently waiting for you to throw his lump of wood! 😄you never look like a numpty Sarah 🤗 but a wee heads up when Willie fancies going all operatic on you would help! 😂 that wee jar/vase and flowers turned out lovely!💜 love the angled/crooked walls! it's gonna be cosy with lots of character! a lick of paint & those wee studios will be cracking!💛 have a great week! 💛
Being on holiday, in Cyprus, has not stopped us from tuning in for the latest episode. Keep up the good work guys! We love Skye so much that we called one of our spaniels Storr. The other one is Jett and is black just like your Jack.
Congrats on 40.000 subs i never doubted you'ed get there and beyond your charming personalities and skilled filming draw everyone in and Mr.Jack is the icing on the cake.Hip Hip Hurrah Karl from eastern Canada
Great to see you are almost there with the byre. I love that you haven't got straight, boring lines. Its so much better with wonky bits. 'Character', its called. Such a lot of work! But how exciting to have your own crafty/singy places ☺
Wheeeeeeeeeeeee.........congrats on hitting 40k subscribers!!! 😍 Its well earned as your content and editing is 100%. I remember my first introduction to the Scottish midge. I had a white car at the time and fortunately they seemed more interested in that than me! Fantastic job you both made of insulating the Byre....good enough to live in now!!
You guys are amazing! Loved going digging with you Willie and picking those beautiful flowers with you Sarah and Jack, well Jack, you are always a star ✴️ can’t wait for next week ❤
My goodness, you two have worked so hard on that insulating and plaster boarding! Great with the digging for treasure i.e. bottles and marmalade pots. Great to be able to use what you found too. To think what life they had before you found them. Love the wild flowers, and the Red Admiral beautiful butterfly. Those caterpillars looked amazing! Jack Spaniels is looking as good as ever. xxx
Dry wall is something I'd never want to do. It's so much work and so dusty. It was the worst part of the remodel but it's done!!!! Great job, and it looks amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing it done, but mot as much as you 2 are. Congratulations on 40K!
Our cat too! He jumped up on the entertainment unit and then looked all around the room very puzzled when the birds disappeared. Indoor cat enrichment 😂
Well done you two ! You’ll have such a sense of satisfaction when it’s all done 👍 I’m finding your chat about your ‘ bo’les’ really interesting Willie 👍
I’m late to the plate this week …usually waiting for the Sunday night notification…just need to say what a cracking video this is …absolutely amazing.. Congratulations and well done for hitting the 40,000 …I found the page when you were video no 3 ..since then I’ve watched and I’ve loved everyone….…wouldn’t miss them for anything ❤
It is! And it's very hot in London, so envious of your clean air in Skye. Love the fledging Goldfinches as they are finding their wings. They are such pretty birds.
Oh my goodness the tiny baby finches on the fence with the mountain behind them - loved this little moment so much! They would make a wonderful painting.
I bet your so pleased the plasterboard is finished, you have made so much progress, well done. Love the flowers they look gorgeous in the old marmalade jar.
You'll find it a lot easier using a surform plane to shave, angle and clean up edges of the plasterboard but it all came together in the end, that's what counts.
Congratulations on 40000!! The studios look great with the drywall up, look like great spaces. Nice to see the fledgling Goldfinches🙂 See ya next week!
With Willie's skills of converting some bottles to drinking glasses and making the drinking edges so smooth I thought he could cut the round star off, smooth the egdes, and hang it on their CHRISTmas tree this year. 1 of a kind star of Bethlehem ornament.
Greetings from Montana!! We did the exact same thing as you guys when we moved from San Diego to the Kootenai River Valley in Montana. Learned construction on the go. Love wilderness living! Best!!
Hi, really really well done on the completion of the insulation etc of the Artists Bothy. I fully expected you both to finish the plasterboard with a big Yeah - then straight into the river for a refreshing dip, ha ha. 🏊♀🏊♂The bothy looks so good just patiently waiting for all your artistic goodies to be placed in their new home. Again well done on achieving your goal. Have a great week 😊' PS loved the flowers
Dear Skye life couple. 👍👌👏 2) I definitely like it much better if a room/ceiling is not as straight/uniform than in new buildings. Adds more character to a room, at least in my opinion respectively for my personal kind of taste. 3) What a wonderful environment you're living in. Congrats. 4) I simply can't believe, that Jack Spaniels stayed dry while the whole video. 😁 ;-) Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health in particular. To all involved life forms of course (humans, animals and plants).

Having Cows in your back garden 😍🐄🐄 Now that is living the dream.
❤Your cottage will seem HUGE when you get all your art and music things out❤
What a transformation of an old cowshed into a 21st century studio! Of course it’s going to be wonky on the inside, which will only add to its charm.
Willie and Sarah, have you heard of a bottle tree? The intact bottles that aren't too exciting can be put on a "tree" out in the garden and can even be lit up! Colored bottles are lovely out in a garden!
Always excited when i get the notification of a new video from you two and jack spaniel 🙂
Aww thanks!!
What a wonderful and unique byre. Hard work pays off. Can’t wait to see the future final results!
The byre is looking more cosy every week. Well done!😊

All the odd angles only gives your workspaces character! . You have great neighbors and all the sheep on a road race! Hi Jack

If you have any more insulation to cut, score both sides with an olfa Cutter, about 3/4-1” deep, and snap it. No sawing, no snow flakes
Great suggestion..too bad they didnt know before they started.
What a brilliant job! I’ve done a bit of work with plasterboard, so know just how messy it can be, and not being flexible, has to be cut exactly to shape! Aww thanks! They were super cute 😊Sarah wants to make paintings of all our garden birds at some point!
I’d give my eye teeth to have a byre as shonky as yours 😆 You guys are smashing it 👍
Great work o. That plaster board! Getting all those strange cuts can't have been easy! Well done!!🌞👍🌞👍🌞👍🌞
It was not easy 😩😩😩 But it’s finished, so we are very relieved!!
The Byre looks so much bigger! Well done both of you. Love watching your channel.
The byre is bigger than I thought 😁 It has character😊
Congratulations on 40000!! The studios look great with the drywall up, look like great spaces. Nice to see the fledgling Goldfinches🙂 See ya next week!
The star on the bottom of the bottle would make a nice stamp for clay or shortbread or pie crust stamp! Or ya lots of stuff!
With Willie's skills of converting some bottles to drinking glasses and making the drinking edges so smooth I thought he could cut the round star off, smooth the egdes, and hang it on their CHRISTmas tree this year. 1 of a kind star of Bethlehem ornament.
Congrats on 40K. The byre is finally looking like 2 rooms ready for finishing.
Greetings from Montana!! We did the exact same thing as you guys when we moved from San Diego to the Kootenai River Valley in Montana. Learned construction on the go. Love wilderness living! Best!!
It’s been a very steep learning curve - especially for Willie 😅 But so worth it!
As you have finches visiting your feeder you could get a special feeder to give them Niger seed (apologies if you already do, I didn’t see any.)
loved seeing the birds
So nice to see some bottle digging!
A..MAZING guys... love seeing the progress... greetings from The Netherlands xxxxxxxxxx
Great video. The byre is looking really good. Loved seeing all the little goldfinches so sweet . 🐱 X

Brilliant again!! Been watching all your videos and LOVE watching you living the dream. It inspires me!!! THANK YOU both!!!
you absolutely have to create that black t-shirt with the white paw prints of Jack Spaniels. That would be brilliant merch.
Dear Skye life couple.
👍👌👏 2) I definitely like it much better if a room/ceiling is not as straight/uniform than in new buildings. Adds more character to a room, at least in my opinion respectively for my personal kind of taste. 3) What a wonderful environment you're living in. Mate, you need to tape the joints…even if the walls were being plastered the joints would all be scrimed…will be cracks everywhere if you don’t🙁
